This is a nice, clean place with great people willing to go beyond to make us comfy. Great location, close enough to the town and had a good accessible shower. If there's any negative, there could be better signage on the street, I missed the driveway twice. We travel a lot and we will look forward to staying here again. read more

I just have to say Josh is Amazing and saved my day! I stayed 3 nights with an early am check out for a 5am flight. The GM Samantha advised me to schedule an Uber so that I would have confirmation of my early 4am pick up. I scheduled with Uber but it was a no show. I went into the app to request another ride but there was not one available that early. Josh heard me on the phone with my struggles and reached out to his GM Samantha who approved him taking me to the airport. When he told me he'd be happy to give me a lift, I felt so much relief as I was stressing to make my flight. Josh got me to the airport with time to spare, going above and beyond his role at the hotel. All of the staff during my entire visit were amazing! I am definitely looking forward to my upcoming stay next month and making this my preferred place to stay while in Walla Walla. Thank you Josh and Team, crews like you a rare and hard to find. such a disappointment. in the booking.com listing they make it look like a really nice clean place. it even has really good ratings- 8/10 stars! decided to book this for the weekend, and I have to say it was pretty pricey- $375 for 2 nights. the photos made it look decent though so it's a win, right? no. what a waste of money. the place is not in a great neighborhood. it's off the side of the freeway and there is a correctional office in the same parking lot. thankfully that was closed. there is also some kind of abandoned building in front of the place? no idea what that once was but it's surrounded in weeds and it's abandoned. the hotel itself is covered on the outside in bugs. this is a farming town, so I guess it's bound to happen. they need to have it pressure washed. the bugs have gathered at every window and vent. our window in our room was completely covered in live and dead bugs and guts. it was really gross. the windows open, but there was no way I was opening them. our room smelled like people used to smoke in it. the carpet was torn, there was hair in my bed. there were used contact lenses in our shower. the towels looked dirty. the fridge barely worked, it didn't do a great job at keeping our stuff cold, so we had to throw out our left overs from our meals. we went down to check out the free breakfast one of the days. yeah, absolutely not happening. I say stick to the toast and the various cereals and oatmeal's they offer. I wouldn't eat any of the hot stuff. there is a bar in there that's closed, they have no one to run it. I would not walk anywhere on the property at night. I wouldn't walk anywhere in that neighborhood at night to be honest. overall, I am very disappointed. it's false advertising on booking. my experience was sub par and i'm still stuck with a $400 bill. if you're looking to stay in the area, try to avoid this hotel unless you just want a quick place to sleep before you get back on the road again and have deep pockets. read more

I made a reservation at this location 3 weeks prior to my arrival. When I arrived, at 5:30 pm, thinking I'd check in quickly prior to getting dinner after a long day of travel, the desk clerk said he couldn't locate my reservation. I showed him my confirmation and he acknowledged it was the correct dates and the correct location and it even had a reservation number that matched his system, but he was unable to find my room reservation in his computer. He emailed my confirmation to his manager and asked what to do. I asked if the hotel was full - was there no room for me? No, he confirmed this exact room that I reserved was available - he just didn't know how to handle the situation without his manager's guidance. I told him I'd go get dinner and return. 2 hours later - no word from the manager - he still didn't know what to do. NEVER DID HE OFFER TO PUT ME IN A ROOM. Isn't the first rule of hospitality to make your customer whole? I went next door to the Holiday Inn and got a room in minutes. read more

We found the staff very helpful and hard working. Complimentary soup on weeknights was a hit with our young daughter. She also enjoyed the indoor heated pool and spa. The patio was nice for a wine and they turned on the gas fire pit for us one evening. Breakfast has a number of options - waffles, biscuit and gravy and changing style of eggs and meat daily. They grind their own coffee beans too. The property is one of the cheaper options for the area, we think the price reflects what you get. Could it have a facelift - absolutely. But for what we paid, we were more than happy with our stay. read more

Pros: The AC worked flawlessly Josh at the Front Desk These are the ONLY two reasons for the two stars Cons: Everything else Review: We reserved through Expedia. We checked in 8/20/2021 around 7pm. Josh at the front desk was outstanding in service and is the best (and only) asset in this hotel. He checked us into room 307. We attempted to enter the back door. Our keys didn't work. We walked around to the front door and got new keys. The room on the third floor was directly across from the elevator and smelled like we should have seen a chalk outline on the floor. I called the front desk and asked if they had any other comparable rooms, one that was further away from the elevator. Super hero Josh put us in room 319. We got into the room and were happy it didn't smell like rotting corpses. We came back from dinner, our room keys didn't work on the back door again. The door lock was defective, not our keys. The room is dated. The carpet, decor, curtains - all out of date. The inside drapes don't fit the window in length or width. We like to sleep in and like it dark. The light billows in from underneath and the side of curtains. The bed sheets didn't fit. The corners continually came off. The toilet wasn't seated down and wobbled. The shower water in the room was lukewarm / warm, but not hot. I was freezing toward the end. They gave you ONE wash cloth. We were excited to have breakfast. We got there at 9:15am, plenty of time before they stopped offering it at 10am. There were 3 or 4 broken pieces of burnt bacon, no biscuits for the gravy, one yogurt left, the fruit was old and nasty, a spoonful of scrambled eggs, but no picante, the juice was watered down. The WORST breakfast of any hotel I've ever been to. There was no service until the end of our visit when the 3 roaming workers refilled the tots but nothing else. We watched SEVERAL people come in, look around at the empty food bins, and leave. We got coffee and left. At 10:20am we went back down to refill our coffee, thinking that they'd probably still have coffee out and available. They did. We got refills and proceeded to the little "store" by the front desk. They have a display case containing their medicines. I needed Tylenol, which is what I was there to buy. Nobody was at the desk. I said, "HELLO", thinking someone might be in the back. Nobody. Through the viewpoint into a back office, we saw 2 Coors Light cans and a Bud Light bottle on the desk. Was the staff drinking on the job? It would explain the poor service. I said, "HELLO" again. Still nothing. Waited some more and said it again. A minute later, a bigger sized woman in a housekeeping dress said, "Excuse me" to get through the door I'm waiting at. She's holding two overflowing plates of food stacked on top of each other containing biscuits and gravy and a wide assortment of other food. Wait... so there's no food at 9:15am, but at 10:20am the housekeeper / front desk person has two FULL plates of food?! The person that was supposed to be in charge of the front desk was busy getting the food that was unavailable to us. Her rude, "Excuse me" to get through, not, "how can I help you" didn't remotely resemble a spirit of assistance. I asked, "Is there somebody back there that can help me?". She said, "that would be me". I said I needed to purchase Tylenol. She went to the back, came back with a packet of Motrin and said, "this is all I have". I asked if I could purchase the one in the display case. She said, "I can't sell that one" and no further words were exchanged. She was entirely unapologetic. She acted like we were inconveniencing her, and I suspect she was annoyed that we were interrupting her breakfast. When we returned from our day, our door keys didn't work in our room lock. Back to the front desk to have keys reprogrammed. We told the front desk that the back door lock wasn't working and hadn't been since our check-in. This was news to the hotel. Returned to the room via elevator, which is apparently powered by horses, as evidenced by the "clip clop" sound it makes. The hallway on the third floor is undergoing some type of government coverup, as it's covered with unsightly brown paper. The floor next to this area is weak and appears to be caving in. We suspect it's a gateway to hell. Wait... we're already here. Our keys worked in our room lock this time. At 8pm we visited the pool. There's a shark cage at the bottom of the hot tub. What's with the multiple contraptions on the floor of the hot tub? It was uncomfortable to step down. The hot tub was a surprisingly pleasant temperature, given the experience we've had thus far. The pool towels were a nice size... for a newborn. We are fit people and these towels were small, barely bigger than hand towels. We found the missing washcloth from our room! They're called, "pool towels". Checking out two days later, the back door still didn't work. Don't stay here! Tell your friends! I won't be staying at another Comfort Inn ever again. read more

We were in town for a wedding over Easter weekend and found our stay to be pretty comfortable. It just so happened that there were a few young athletic teams staying on the same floor while we were there, so it was a little loud due to the teenagers visiting each other and slamming the doors late at night. Clean hotel away from noise. Firm mattresses, comfy fluffy pillows, beautiful views of a little canal, farmland, and snow topped mountains. There is a patio out back with a fire pit. There is a little lounge/bar area for wine drinking at the breakfast area. We stayed in the larger two room queen and king bed suite. Great air conditioning that blocks out all noise. No slamming doors or loud guests here! Very quiet, dark, peaceful room. The breakfast left you wanting to try someplace else. Fake eggs, undercooked bacon, but good piping hot coffee that you can select from. (Mild, normal, extra strong.) The pool and hot tub were both pretty and very clean. Overall... I left rested and happy. Room 222 has the extra room with the view and quiet is key in my book. Nice little stay. Have to note the woman that greeted us upon check in and during breakfast gets 5 stars. Super sweet girl. read more

I have pics for my complaints. We had a huge stain on our comforter. The bathroom was disgusting. You can tell they are just wiping the water out. I got mold and mildew from around the handicap bar. I got red off the bathtub. There was a dark black hair stuck in the basket that they have lids that aren't wrapped in anything. The bathroom wasn't clean. It was dusty in multiple areas. The staff was amazing though. Nice and polite. It wasn't worth the 130 we paid. The young man at front desk was outstanding and deserves to be regozined. He was outstanding. If the manager sees this please get a hold of me and I will gladly give you the photos I have. Please have your staff actually clean the sinks and bathtubs. Terrible service. When I checked in, on a Saturday evening, the front desk staff person was sitting on a bench, smoking, under the main entrance portico. He slowly followed me in and made many mistakes with my check in (but offered no apologies). At about 7:45 am the next day, I tried to check out. I waited 45 minutes at the front desk to check out and to pick up my pre-ordered sack breakfast. No staff ever showed up. I rang the bell--no response. I called out-no response. I stood at the desk and used my cell to call the hotel--no answer. I also called Comfort Inn's customer service line (while waiting), waited 30 minutes on hold before they disconnected the line without ever responding. I am so disappointed. I have been a loyal customer of this brand for a decade but no longer will chose their hotels. read more

BEWARE OF "BAIT n SWITCH". I booked a 2 bed suite for 3 nights on line with Comfort Inn in Walla Walla, WA. Upon arrival I was charged $72 surcharge because there was going to be more than one person in that room. It was after hours and I had to agree if I wanted to be checked in and speak with management in the morning. The following morning I spoke with the General Manager Charli Moore to honor the on line booking price but told me that they could increase the price but the system will not allow them to reverse it. REALLY? The hotel is clean and very nice, and the staff are very friendly but I probably will not go back. read more

We enjoyed 2 days of golf in the area with Comfort Inn for accommodations. The rooms were comfortable, extra roomy. Beautiful outside patio with fire pit on a creek! Full delicious buffet breakfast included.Wine and beer bar served local products in the evening. On top of that the staff was friendly, informative and humorous beyond compare. Clean quiet, comfy and super family friendly. Lots of great options for breakfast and tasty hot coffee. The wine bar is outstanding--especially for a chain hotel. Pool and hot tub are a great way to unwind and/or wear out a kid before bed time. Refrigerators and microwaves in the room, great water pressure in the shower. What makes this hotel special, though, is the staff. They're sincerely warm and friendly and go out of their way to make you welcome. I woke up at 3a.m. and the night clerk (David) offered me a snack. This place is unpretentious but nice enough to bring your fussy in-laws. Reserve your room in advance for wine tasting events--it fills fast! You'll want to bring a travel mug and refillable water bottle to cut down on plastic consumption, but the Comfort Inn has everything else you need. read more

Comfortable enough room. We had twin queen beds. Beds are on the hard side. Nice fluffy pillows. Nice continental breakfast. Lots of diversity. Not the best tasting in the world, but very nice for a complimentary continental breakfast. Fairly quiet, though we could hear kids running in the halls. I consider that more a problem with the parents than the hotel, though. Free wifi, it is about a 1.25 to 1.5 Mbps. Always appreciate free wifi, and while the speed isn't amazing, it is very functional. read more

Just stayed here for the second time in a few years. We visit family in Walla Walla and this is our go to hotel. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is great for kids with the indoor pool and fenced patios. For adults the bar at night is nice and quiet with a few TV's. The breakfast is decent. Good options and pretty healthy. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It is a very quiet hotel as we could not hear anything from surrounding rooms even though we had neighbors. My only point of contention is that breakfast only goes until 9am. I understand it's a free breakfast but at least go until 10. And bananas, they had no bananas. Those are my only complaints. Would definitely recommend to everyone. read more

We stayed at this Comfort Inn a week ago. No different from any other cookie-cutter motel of its type, reasonably clean and efficient. BUT! Booked about a week in advance, this small-town lackluster motel charged $$250/night, including taxes, for a standard room. Why? Because they thought they could get away with it during a busy time. I asked staff; they said it was the franchisee's choice to set pricing so high. This type of price gouging has no place in accommodations like this. It leaves an angry aftertaste worse than the premade breakfast items. We'll NEVER stay at another Comfort Inn as a result. read more

We will not be staying here again. I called the hotel directly a few days before our travel to make a change to my reservation (I found out later I actually spoke with the General Manager both times I called on the reservation). We showed up a few days later to find out they botched our reservation; they had no rooms left for our party of 8 and we were left to scrounge up a room at another hotel. Part of our party had to drive a few hours home because they couldn't find a room. We had to stay separately from our team we were traveling with (my husband is the coach!). Plus, we had to pay more money for the room at the new hotel. The Comfort Inn did not offer to make any amends, even after I emailed them my complaint. I found out afterward that the Comfort Inn also botched reservations on 2 other families from our team that same weekend. Very disappointing. read more

As a flight attendant, this is a favorite hotel! They provide warm cookies and a great room. The current manager went above and beyond for our crew when we came in after every close-by restaurant had closed starving and cooked us up some burgers himself. Truly, 5 star hotel quality!! read more

Dog friendly, quiet, clean, comfy, felt safe, $98 + 15 for our dog at the end of August. Came with biscuits, a plastic biscuit shaped doggie bag holder that we promptly attached to our leash, and two rolls of bags. Sweet. Good continental breakfast as far as they go, eggs and sausage too. We jogged with the dog early along the irrigation canal next to it, technically not supposed to, but it sure was convenient to get a run in before the day heated up and we checked out. read more

I always stay here when I come to Walla Walla on business. I have tried a few other hotels in town, with the exception of the Marcus Whitman because it is always out of my price range for work. The rooms are very nice, I like the view of the river. I enjoy the patio in the evenings. The staff is very friendly, the bar has a nice wine selection. I was hesitant to try this chain hotel but was pleasantly surprised. It is now my Walla Walla home. read more

They had two waffle makers so there was no waiting for breakfast. They have snacks, wine and just really have a lot to offer for comfort. Nice enough hotel, but use it as a last resort, front desk staff are just....... I tried to stay here last night, the elderly lady at the front desk refused my military ID because it didn't have my address on it. This chain usually gives military discounts, but no big deal, I can live without it, she was training a young lady though, so now she's passed on her ignorance. Then, since I had stayed here before using my mother's address which is local, she refused to give me a room because i was a local. I showed her my current license with a Vancouver address, but she was unconvinced and handed back my DL and credit cards saying they weren't allowed to let me stay there. They apparently have some sort of policy that allows them huge latitude if they suspect someone to be a local, no idea what they have against locals. read more

I recently stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding. When we arrived back in our room we came back to our bathroom floor completely covered in water. The leak was so bad that it had even reached the carpet in the room and soaked it too. There was well over a gallon of water sitting on the ground. We went to the front desk (because there was not a phone connected anywhere in the room) and let them know about the situation in our room. She told us that she would call the manager and let us know what he said. We came back down to the front desk and because the hotel was completely booked, we weren't able to switch rooms, she told us that the manager would discount our room and the only thing that she could do for us would be to give us towels to soak up the water. The manager was working the next morning and she said that he would take care of it. The water was leaking from the vent in the bathroom and had gotten so bad by morning that there was a 3-inch wide water mark on the ceiling from the wall to the vent. We had the floor covered in towels along with our ice bucket under the leak to try and catch the water. We weren't able to use the bathroom from 7:00 pm until we checked out the next morning because of how bad the leak was. When we went to check-out in the morning and tell the manager about the situation in our room he told us "it's just condensation from the pipes, but I will discount your room 20%" This lead me to believe that the hotel was aware of the issue and was still placing guests in the room anyways. I told him, it was not just a small leak, and it was ruining the drywall and emphasized the amount of water that was on the ground. His response was "well since you say there was so much water, I will discount you 30%" I wrote an email to customer relations for choice hotels and didn't get a response until 15 days later. They informed me that the manager from this hotel would be in contact with me within 72 hours. I never got a call. Customer relations is issuing me a check for HALF of our room rate. I am so unimpressed with the customer service surrounding choice hotels and the incompetence of the managerial staff at the Walla Walla location. I do not plan on ever booking with this company again and will make sure to inform friends and family of the poor customer service and lousy guest room conditions for Comfort Inn and Suites. read more

1 star because 0 is not an option! Comfort Inn For the past 2 weeks we have been forced to stay in hotels in the Walla Walla area due to water damage in our home. As, usual we booked a hotel through hotels.com and did not think anything of it until we tried to check in at the Comfort Inn at 10 pm last night. We were refused service for a room we had already paid for simply because we are "Local". The manager (or as she kept calling herself "Director of Operations") Gene Weinman, when asked for as explanation as to why we were not notified of such discriminatory policy upon registration (nor is it stated anywhere in the website), in the most arrogant and rude manner responded that it was company policy and that she could and would refuse service to anyone and that she could not do anything about the charges. Furthermore, she called the police as we were sitting in the lobby trying to call hotels.com to book another room, why she thought she needed to do that? Only she knows. At no point did Gene Weinman try to arrange for another room or even thought to inquire as to why we (a family) needed a room for the night. When asked for the name of her supervisor she kept saying that there is no one above her, as she is the "Director of Operations", and refused to give further information. Further demonstrating her abuse of power in this situation. The police upon arrival and hearing of our home and now hotel situation were completely apologetic and sympathetic, and stayed long enough for us to find another room. This has been probably the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered, especially in a community that generally takes care of their "Local" community. It's not every day I take the time to blast any one or any business, however in this case it is important to bring awareness to our community about the unfair practices of certain businesses such as the comfort Inn. If you are "local" you are not welcomed at the Comfort Inn, remember that when you are booking a hotel or are recommending a place to stay in our beautiful Walla Walla. read more
