It is April 2026. This Comfort inn is open, but undergoing full renovations. This was not mentioned when we made our reservations. If you have allergies to, or low tolerance for construction dust, choose another location. Otherwise: The new rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Front desk is polite and efficient. Breakfast is at 6am and always very good. We have stayed here many times in the past 10 years with no issue. Would suggest for an acceptable room at a fair price. It's not fancy but it's clean and comfortable perfect for a layover. Giving full stars because the renovations will end in a few months. read more

A reasonable spot to stay in Brunswick for the price. The location is conveniently nearby downtown and to the highway to go to other nearby towns as well. Rooms are reasonably large and the bed is comfortable though the humidity inside the rooms can be a high. There is also an exercise room and vending machines as well. The parking lot is fairly large and there are priority spots in the front as well as a much larger lot in the back. The breakfast options here are fairly good with eggs and sausage every morning as well as waffle makers. There are also cereal, yogurt, fruit, and other pastry options in addition to juices and coffee. Overall a reasonable place to stay if you're visiting the Brunswick area. read more

WET!!! This is the best way to describe this hotel. The guest rooms were all so moist. The walls felt wet when you touched them. It reminded me of a spa, especially the smell of the room. We had our air conditioning all the way up. We slept and were freezing because the humidity in the room was so unbearable. We were in Maine for a wedding there aren't a lot of choices. The look of the hotel is modern with a classic fireplace and wooden staircase in the lobby. The hotels offers a breakfast that is top notch. There is a wide selection of hot coffee and drinks available. Waffles, eggs, and sausage are offered as hot selections. Cereals, breads, bagels, and pastries are also available. Coffee is available all day, not just at breakfast. We took advantage of the breakfast room and played card games there as a family. It was a nice location when the room was too moist and crowded to play in. The guest rooms are typical of a budget hotel. The bed was comfortable. Daily room service was available, which is something other hotels have cut back on. As soon as the humidity problem is taken care of this will be a great place to stay! read more

I was glad to be able to reserve a room because this location was completely booked! I knew what accommodations there would be for the price we paid. The carpeting in the rooms has been the same since a picture I saw from 2011, but it seems to be holding up well. Our room (#120) was clean & comfortable upon arrival. Stayed on the first floor. It was interesting finding the room, as the layout of the building is different. As others have said, it's more like a house than a hotel/inn. I loved that our room was on the backside. You look out to trees & a nicely mowed lawn. Some additional notes: - The A/C unit won't let you go any lower than 66 degrees. It has some weird "stuff" on it, too. Otherwise, it was quiet & easy to operate. - There seems to a little mold in the bathroom between the tub & where the casing is, which is probably due to people not closing the shower curtain all the way. - Speaking of the shower curtain, it's ripped along the top & needs to be retired! - The coffee, whether in the room or at the continental breakfast, is completely awful... Couldn't drink it so dumped it out. I get that it's free, but, still.... - The continental breakfast is meh. At least there are options & it's a hot breakfast vs. the "Grab n Go" option that other places have. - The door to our room was sticking. At first, we couldn't get it to open. To get it to shut, we had to push hard, which caused it to slam & be loud. We could hear other rooms doing this (even late, around 3:30am) & it woke us up a lot. For the price, this place can't be beat! While the bedrooms were not as large and definitely not queen size, the hot breakfast was solid in terms of some sort of meat and eggs as well as the standard 'go-to' wafflemaker and usual drinks, yogurt, eggs etc). Honestly it was like a Holiday Inn Express, but lower cost... we really were busy just handling some things including a bunch of nearby sites - Reid State Park was the primary reason I booked this place. Wiscasset also had a few good restaurants (plan was Red Eats but we went on Monday, and we didn't find out until halfway there it is closed! Ended up at Spragues across the street instead) , and was effectively on the way back from Reid State Park. Also not too far of a drive from Portland Airport since this was the last leg of our Maine trip. No pictures.... oh well but place was clean, staff were really friendly, and AC/heat worked well! A place to hang your hat for the evening. The building was much larger than expected and there were some nice landscaped spots to sit outside. Tons of parking Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast offering was better than expected. The Inn offers one of those fun waffle makers that kids love (batter offerings were blueberry or plain). Booked last minute, so the cost was through the roof but hey, it's Maine in the summer time - you know everything is going to be expensive. Because it is near the ocean, there is a damp that permeates everything, even the toilet paper, so be prepared. Overall, a fine place to spend the night while traveling Down East. read more

I'm not going to be long winded on this review. I brought a Lacrosse team here for a competition. Our stay is here at the Comfort Inn and Suites. I immediately ran in to see if they had a iPhone charger, I was welcomed in by Rachel the front desk associate. Let me tell y'all something, her smile, her cheeks and laughter immediately put me in a better mood (the wind in this state was a bugar bear). I inquired if she had a charger, I promise I could see her in the lost and found box throwing stuff around diligently looking for me a charger. She came out from the back with a charger looking like she had been to hell and back hair everywhere Rachel immediately handed my group their room keys and I went out to move the bus. Their was plenty of bus parking 2 lots as a mater of fact. I go back in and Rachel hands me my key and we started chit chatting about the weather and Brunswick, Maine. We talked about the weather blah blah. Ok, so I go to my room and it was warm and cozy, they had the heat going strong..,,.ahhh yeah! I jump on my bed and rubbed my head on the pillows, oh yes just what I expected from Comfort Inn's cotton soft pillows. I plug in the charger and dang it's no good. So I go downstairs to bother Rachel again, I needed her to dig a little more deeper in that box for another charger. She goes back in the back and this time I could hear books being thrown on the floor, boom, plop was all I heard. She returns with a journal, she opens it up and thumbs through the pages. So I asked what was that? She states it's a journal with a log of guests names, room number, date and what item was left behind. Neeeeever have that ever been done at any of the thousands of hotels I've stayed at. I would call a hotel, inquire about a left behind item be put on a 30 minute hold, they may even immediately tell you no housekeeping didn't find anything. (Let me give credit to a hotel in Canada, they mailed me my Roku I left behind). Ok, she hands me another and again we start chit chatting. Omg that woman had me rolling laughing!!! I know I laughed so hard and loud I could be heard on the 1st and 2nd floors. My stomach hurt so cause we kept expounding on the topic we was discussing and lawd that woman. I seriously had to hold myself up cause Rachel would not stop, she has the rosiest cheeks and so sweet. We both was grunting like pigs and that made us both laugh even harder. Finally, y'all to sum up my review of this Cottage themed Hotel, its a must to stay and Rachel to meet. I don't remember when was the last time I laughed so hard, Laugher is food for the soul. Thank you Rachel, anyone passing through Brunswick, Maine should most definitely stay at this Comfort Inn. I have a few things I need to point out. This is a good place to overnight. It's a solid Comfort Inn with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast is adequate and the facilities clean. The hotel is a bit dated and probably needs a refresh, but it's just fine for a night or two. There isn't much around the hotel, but it is close to the interstate. read more

Room was stale smelling, bath tub was dirty. Asked for it to be cleaned but still looked the same afterwards. Beds were uncomfortable and room not quiet at all. I'm giving this 2 stars because the staff was pleasant and breakfast was good but we were very disappointed and will not stay there again. read more

Cute place. Small beds. Wish they were at least queen size. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Hotel itself had a very neat appearance with the New England feel. Easy to access. My wifes' idea of roughing it is the Holiday Inn Express so it was with some reservation that I booked here. To my great surprise and pleasure it was a great find. The place was very clean and seemed well run, the beds were not all sagged out and the room was well appointed. Lets be clear however, it is still a comfort Inn and not the Marriot. The breakfast was neither great nor terrible, it was your basic-very basic free hotel on the road breakfast offerings. Not sure I'd book it for a week, but it was a great place for a stop over. We stayed here the other night and were very pleased with this hotel. When you enter the lobby area, you immediately get a cabin/home feeling, which was great. The staff was very courteous and friendly and check-in was quick. The room was very nice and clean, but my only complaint is that they only offered two doubles and not two queens. In fact, a majority of the hotels in the area were all two doubles with the exception of a Motel 6, which had two queens. That is just a personal gripe, so I don't hold it against the hotel. The hotel includes free wifi and a really good continental breakfast. If you're staying around the Portland/Brunswick area, I would highly recommend this hotel. read more

Stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding with Lumpy's famiy. PRO - Clean room & comfortable bed, free breakfast, nice person at desk on check-in. Was very quiet at night but we were at the end of a hall. CON - No additional "doorstopper" lock inside the door. Just the keycard lock. Once, at another hotel, we had someone try to get into our room in the middle of the night & this lock stopped them. Hotel gave them the key card to the wrong room. In this hotel, they'd be walking right in on us, as we slept. SO - If I was a woman traveling alone, I'd be concerned without that lock NOT being on the door. Otherwise I liked the place. read more

We were up here to visit a college with my daughter and I found this location so we could stay overnight. I thought the location was good and the staff attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that we were given an end room on the first floor. The back door from the parking lot was right by our window and anyone could look in. Also, there was a bright flood light that stayed on all night, obviously for security reasons. The other issue is when we tried to close the shades (thus solving both problems mentioned), it would not close completely and the bright light still came in and you could still see everyone who came in that way. I went to the front to see if we could fix the issue and the person had stepped away from the desk. I went to the area where the computer was and was able to find a binder clip and solved my own problem. While I would not give them 3 stars, I feel that 4 is too high and that this location is a solid 3 1/2 stars. read more

When you first approach, it looks like you're going to be staying at someone's house. Very nice and inviting from the outside. Room was just like every other hotel room, and not anything special. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too soft for my liking. Card on the bed had stated firmer pillows in the back of soft pillows, but I thought they were just as soft. Air conditioner did a great job at keeping the room cool, and not too noisy. Hotel is near train tracks though, and you will hear the train go through. That was a minor annoyance. Bathroom was small and outdated, but served its purpose. I felt like it was designed for little people. I'm not tall by any means, just average, but my 5'-6" had to bend over to wash my hands and toilet was low to the ground. My husband said the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and no in between, but I had no problem. I think a lot of that had to do with the old temperature adjuster they had. Staff was super friendly, and breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. Overall, I would stay here again and would probably recommend. It's not anything fabulous, but definitely served its purpose. read more

Clean and quiet motel with pleasant, welcoming staff. - THE ACCOMMODATIONS: Our room was very clean, super comfortable, and wonderfully quiet. Despite squeezing three people into two beds, I slept amazingly well here. The public spaces were warm and inviting, and tastefully decorated, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. - THE AMENITIES: The main reason why I chose to write a review (because I normally don't for chains) is the continental breakfast. It was may more than your average spread, with fresh eggs and sausage, Greek yogurt and granola, and a waffle machine (!!). They also have a small fitness center. - SERVICE: The staff were friendly, pleasant, and professional. Incredibly slow internet, unable to stream. I hooked up my hotspot to my computer so I could upload my work for the day. Everything else is great. Rooms are comfortable and the staff is extremely helpful. I have stayed here several times and will continue to stay in the future but I will make sure my data plan is not low because I will expect to use my hotspot rather than the hotel wifi. read more

This is a cute Comfort Inn. Maybe one of the cutest I've stayed in. They have a big parking lot in the back and the doors are numbered so you don't get lost. The front desk worker was super nice. I'm knocking off one star because when I checked in I was told I was going to get a room with a refrigerator. That was nice but most hotel rooms come with a standard mini fridge and microwave. This hotel has one microwave. One. It's by the vending machine downstairs after you zig zag through the halls and stairs to find it. It's more cost effective to have one so I do understand but, I travel for work and I'm just used to having these things where I stay. read more

This is a poor hotel. Not poor as in "not the Ritz Carlton" but poor as in "a bad version of a Comfort Inn." Avoid. Problems included: * Someone smoked in a nonsmoking room near us. The hall reeked, and the smell drifted in to our room. * Bathroom was damp. There was condensation on walls and floor. Paint was peeling off the door, and it didn't close properly. There was likely mold -- something set of my allergies, causing wheezing and sneezing. * Door did not fully close by itself. * Air circulation was poor; I woke up dehydrated and congested. * Breakfast food was awful. Eggs were watery and devoid of taste. Peanut butter was loaded with sugar and tasted like candy. * Internet connection was extremely slow, bordering on unusable. Speed Test maxed out at 5 Mbps; poor latency made it worse. (Legal definition of broadband is 25 Mbps.) * Poor value. We were charged $160+/night. This place is worth $75/night, if they fixed the bathroom and air circulation problems. read more

I haven't stayed here but rather stopped in to use a restroom. First thought was this looks like an adorable bed and breakfast. It is super clean, nicely decorated, cozy ambiance and the concierge was super sweet!!! I would stay here if I ever came back to this area. This is a really nice hotel, always our top choice when we come to Brunswick. It is clean, quaint, and has a friendly staff. I would have given it an easy five stars if not for one thing. At our most recent stay, we learned that the rooms do not have an additional lock on the inside. This made it incredible difficult to keep our curious 2 year old son inside of our room. He's a very well behaved child but he enjoys an adventure just as much as the next kiddo. Unfortunately we were situated right at the top of the stairs and with no way to secure the door, it was really stressful to constantly feel like he could get out at any time. I realize this is a very specific concern but it definitely took some of the relaxation out of our stay. I find it off-putting that the hotel was not completely safe for children to stay at... I wish I had known that before booking. Otherwise a good hotel. read more

Great hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great value. Barbara at front desk was so kind and helpful. We were exhausted after long red eye flight and long drive after that. We got there way too early and check-in wasn't technically till 3 pm. However, Barbara did all she could to get us into our room early so we could rest, relax, shower, etc. She's a keeper! We were only there for one night but our room was just as good as any expensive hotels. Also we LOVE having coffee in our room so we don't have to trek out for breakfast as some hotels force you to do. Also, my wife and I loved the king bed we had. We wanted to take it home with us. We stayed here back in October when we first moved to the area. First off, I'll be honest, The rooms could use some serious updating between the linens and the rugs. However, you cannot beat the price. Also the service was great! The woman checking us in at the front desk was quick to recommend places to eat and even where we could buy new pet fish (long story). They had decorated the place for Halloween with a Jack-O-Lantern contest and warm cookies and cider available in the lobby. Even when I drive by now, I love seeing how they have decorated for the holidays. It looks super cute with wreaths on all of the windows. They do their best to make their hotel as warm and inviting as possible. read more

The Comfort Inn in Brunswick has some of the best hotel staff ever. Not just among inexpensive off-the-highway chains: EVER. I called the hotel at 11:30pm the night before I needed to check in, and the person I spoke with was friendly, efficient, funny, and went above and beyond to help me out. Not only did he find me a room, but he managed to get me a special rate which had technically expired! This kind of service from someone on the graveyard shift? Really?? When we arrived, we found the place to be quaint and super clean. The daytime and weekend staff were as helpful as the guy I spoke with on the phone. The rooms were pretty standard, but impeccably clean, and the breakfast was better than average for mid-grade chains (great selection of pastries, breads, bagels, hardboiled eggs and yogurt, two kinds of make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs and breakfast meat.) But if you're feeling a bit more ambitious, Mae's Cafe in Bath is worth the trip! The location is right off 295, within a short drive to Brunswick downtown, but not walking distance. Within an easy distance on Pleasant Street, there is a Thai restaurant, an Italian pizza/subs place, a Mexican cantina and a diner that's open 24 hours on summer weekends. Overall, the Comfort Inn is....perfectly comfortable and convenient, and the awesome staff really make it a find! read more

We stayed here on a mid week stay over to do some shopping at LL.bean and kittey. Great service at desk and helpfull friendly staff. The hotel and room were very clean! Hotel is a little older but well maintained! I will stay here again on our next trip to maine. They offer morning breakfast as well. They also have a nice gym. 2 thumbs up! read more
