Above all though it's the people that make this place special - they picked us up with our bikes from Point of Rocks and delivered us back the next morning - no charge, though you're welcome to tip them. Y'all this place is NASTY. Moldy bathtub, leaking sink, & the smell is just...awful. They try to cover it up by overpowering the rooms with glade plug ins, but it just makes it worse (& heads up cuz it's a major migraine trigger). We couldn't get the smell out of our room even tho neither I nor the desk attendant could locate the plug in. And we had the balcony door wide open for several hours, did nothing to help. When the desk attendant came in, she was shocked at the smell (AND she had a mask on - noticed it immediately - it was that overpowering). They offered to deodorize the room, but let me know that may, in turn, "make the room smell like chlorine." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...not sure how turning the smell from the inside of a toilet bowl deodorizer to the inside of a swimming pool is the solution... Anyway. Just don't stay here. There were several folks in my party staying in diff rooms & they were all smelly. There were no other rooms available & we couldn't find any other room in town. My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Leesburg on the night of 9/14/24 as part of a room block for a friend's wedding. We checked into our room around 11pm. It was very clear, when we got off of the elevator that the hotel was under construction and/or renovations and, when we got to our room, there were no bedside tables and the table lamps were sitting on the floor. A minor inconvenience, but not a big deal to us, since we were only staying for one night. We stayed in the room all of 10 hours, 9 of which were spent sleeping, and left the next morning before the check out cutoff. Everything in the room was in working order when we left. I logged into my mobile banking today and found an extra charge from Comfort Suites on my credit card for $265. When I called the front desk to ask where the extra charge came from, they claimed that there was a big crack running through the TV the morning after we had checked out, and that we had been charged for a new TV. Now, my husband watched TV for a grand total of 30 minutes while we were there, and the TV was functioning totally normally and there were no cracks in it and none of our personal belongings ever collided with the TV screen in any way, shape, or form. When I requested to speak with someone higher up to dispute the charges (as we did not break the TV), the people at the front desk patched me through to their boss. He was not at his desk on a Monday during normal business hours and there was no opportunity to leave a message as his mailbox is full. When asked for a direct line for the number of the higher ups so that we can stop hounding the front desk about an issue that is not their fault, we were informed that there is no direct line. They did take our names and phone numbers so that he can give us a call back, but we are still waiting to hear from him. Therefore, my husband and I will be calling back every day until this issue is resolved. Needless to say, we will not be giving Comfort Suites any of our business moving forward. As an aside, this review is being written on Google and not the hotel website (as I would have preferred to do), because we were never sent the customary email to review our experience on the website upon checkout. Just the cherry on top of this nightmare of an experience. read more

My family and I stayed at the comfort suites this weekend while we were in town for a wedding. The hotel was clean and spacious enough, staff were friendly, and there was a heated swimming pool and hot tub, exercise room, and business center. There was complimentary breakfast, but it was "eh okay"according to my husband, and they further did not have any ingredient information or allergy info for any of the food, so my daughter and I were not able to eat breakfast there. The parking lot was a bit small. Also, there was a bright light outside our room and there are only sheer curtains (there are thicker ones on the sides of the window but they are just for decoration and can not be pulled closed so we did not sleep very well. Overall, a bit pricey and only an okay experience for $170 for one night (at wedding block pricing) for a 2 queen room. Wish we had booked at the Hampton Inn down the road where family was staying and had a much better time. Would be good for a family without food allergies or if they could put us in an interior room next time. read more

This is a specific review on our "honeymoon suite", sweetheart package, and the shuttle service to and from the hotel to our wedding venue, 8 Chains North Winery. In summary, everything was amazing! We had a lovely king bed suite with a kitchen, living room, and whirlpool bath. There was a TV in the living room and one in the bedroom as well. The whirlpool tub worked nicely and the bed was comfortable. We even forgot our toothbrushes and the front desk gave us toothbrushes to use/keep. There was a microwave and fridge in the kitchen, as well as a table for two on which we ate our breakfast. The front desk gave us a selection sheet and we received what we ordered (plus more) at 8:30am the following morning. I believe the same items can be eaten at the free breakfast buffet that is offered in the lobby, but it was lovely to have it delivered to our room. Upon our arrival to the room, we had strawberries, chocolates, and champagne waiting for us-a very nice touch after our wedding reception. Speaking on the shuttle to/from the venue, we received one free shuttle and paid (I think $100) for an additional shuttle. Each shuttle carries 12-14 people. This was an excellent option in transporting our guests to venue from the hotel and back. We arranged in advance when the shuttle times would be (we chose to stagger at 10:45pm and 11:15pm returning to the hotel and 3:30pm and 5:30pm going to the venue.) and they were prompt and the drivers were friendly and helpful loading the shuttle with all of our stuff. We had a great experience working with the booking staff on our hotel block as well! They were extremely helpful in organizing the shuttles and ensuring our guests all had rooms in the block. I would recommend booking here for any weddings at Leesburg area wineries! read more

I blocked 20 rooms for my wedding several months ago & as soon as my guests received their Save The Dates and started calling to make reservations they ran into issues. They were told there were no longer rooms available, so I called & was told there was a computer error and that the hotel had remedied it. Two days later more guests called me telling me they were being told there were no rooms available. Once again, I called the hotel & was told that they made a mistake and put the cut off date in a year too early in the computers, meaning my rooms had already been released. I spoke with Melissa, a Sales manager, and told her that they needed to fix this since the error was on their end. She offered to put half or all my guests in the Red Roof Inn instead, which I was not satisfied with since I chose this hotel for a reason. It was revealed to me that the cut off date was wrong in the contract as well as in their computers - Melissa got rather snippy with me saying "I'm looking at the contract right now, which YOU signed & it says in black and white the cut off date is a year early". Needless to say, I did not appreciate this tone & while I admit that we missed that error when signing, I maintain that this is the hotel's error (something they admitted to multiple times). Ultimately we spoke with the General manager who ended up being able to give us 13 rooms & guaranteed us the shuttle service provided by the hotel. Now I'm trying to add rooms to existing contracts with other hotels or find another suitable hotel that can accommodate us and make up for the 7 rooms we lost. All in all, I understand everyone makes mistakes, but I'm disappointed in the communication & quality of customer service - The hotel assured me the situation was remedied when it was not & then Melissa got an attitude with me when I was upset over the error. I've read many reviews from brides who have experienced similar issues, if you're looking for a hotel for your wedding I advise you look at others in the area - The Hampton, Hilton, and Best Western are all within the area, have comparable pricing, and better service. read more

I am writing to this review regarding a reservation block I had arranged for my wedding. My experience with the Comfort Suites located in Leesburg, VA could not have been farther from the smooth, easy experience it should have been. Below I have listed a sequence of events that took place to help you understand the extreme difficulties I had with this location, as well as the frustrating and still ongoing conversation with the manager, Amy. 1. A reservation was made for a group of rooms. 2. Guests began to book, and all went fine. 3. I called the hotel to confirm the number of rooms remaining, and there were not enough. I called three times that week, and each time I was told there were not enough rooms remaining. 4. I began the search for a new hotel. 5. I called to inquire about canceling the room block, and left a message with the front desk. 6. Amy contacted my parents, and said she would cancel the entire block. My mother asked her to contact each guest directly. 7. Amy canceled the room block, and through some miscommunication inferred our wedding had been canceled. This inference was relayed to my venue, as well as to some of my guests. As you can imagine, this was a major cause for concern. 8. Amy placed the blame on me for not calling her back to discuss. No one had authorized the cancellation of our block. They waited less than 24 hours from her message on the answering machine to canceling the block. 9. I spoke with Amy. She said she would write a hand written apology to each guest, and if we would reconsider and have the guests stay at the hotel, she could offer transportation to and from her hotel. She also said she would re-instate the room block with the total number of rooms needed. 10. I followed up with Amy, as none of my guests received apologies. I received no response. 11. I called the corporate office, who said Amy would contact me within 72 hours. I received no response. 12. I called the corporate office again, but after spending 30 minutes on hold decided to email Amy again instead. 13. One week later, I again, emailed Amy. She advised the hotel had already canceled the room block, again without permission, and would not be sending apologies to my guests, as she and the owner decided the miscommunication was "not their fault" and to send apologies would admit fault. She never notified me of these events. The cancellation, nor the decision to not send apologies to my guests. Everything Amy ever promised us she went back on. I would never choose this hotel for another stay. read more

If I could give this a zero I would. My entire experience with this hotel was awful. We booked our wedding block at this hotel under the knowledge that we would have free shuttles to and from the airport, shuttles to and from our wedding location, brunch opportunities, and they had done lots of weddings so were understanding of how to handle this. The manager at the time - I have learned she no longer works there, took an entire month to get back to me after numerous phone calls and emails. They booked 4 weddings in this hotel and have only 1 elevator - which was important to us with elderly out of town guests who would have to wait up to 15 minutes for the next elevator. The front office staff doesn't know the hotel, the area, or what is ever going on. You could never get a straight answer from anyone. If something is on their website that they do - the shuttles - actually they do not guarantee that they can do that for you. On our wedding night three of our guests found bed bugs. The front office person fought us for over an hour about this. Going in our rooms after saying he would find us as we were spending time with our guests to go in our rooms and clean them up. Only one guest received a refund. I was told by the new manager that she has been training her staff about these issues. I don't even mind they had bed bugs that is going to happen in a hotel it was the way it was handled that was unacceptable. Customer Service is essential especially for a wedding when everyones emotions are running high, they truly didn't know how to handle 4 weddings. I would not book an event here ever again and am embarrassed that my out of town guests had to experience such issues. read more

Check in was easy, our room was clean, breakfast was great, and you could tell the management cares about how this place is ran. They were here when we showed and there when we left, HARD WORKERS! If I could give this place "0" I would do it. I am absolutely appalled with the lack of communication from Comfort Inn Suites. I am getting married in 3 1/2 months and set up my wedding block over a year in advance to a be sure that my guests would be guaranteed a room and they would all be in the same hotel. One of my bridesmaids called and said that when she booked her room one of the hotel staff members informed her that only 4 rooms were left in my block and the entire hotel was booked for my wedding weekend. When I called the hotel to investigate I found out that the sales manager I had been working with before was no long working there (her name is AMY and stay as far away from her as you can). I spoke with the new sales manager named Serena who is nice enough but the damage cannot be undone at this point. October is an extremely popular month to get married in Leesburg and most of the decent hotels are already booked at this point. My fiancé and I both travel a lot for work and tried to get as much accomplished far in advance as possible and now we have this awful predicament where we don't know where our guests are going to stay. This is supposed to be the best day of my life and now I'm absolutely devastated because of this hotel and their lack of professionalism. I will make a point to never stay in the Comfort Inn Suites anywhere ever again because I am that dissatisfied. Do NOT go here. read more

Not at all up to the standards of most Comfort Suites and the staff could use customer service training. The room was difficult to keep at a constant tempurature. It was either too hot or too cold. The fitness room, if you can call it that, was tiny. I did like the breakfast selections. Oh and they wouldn't issue Choice Privilege awards because I had a discounted rate. WTF? read more

Communication with the sales rep was easy to do over email, guests were happy with their rooms, and they even asked what my wedding's shuttle schedule was so that they could post that information around the hotel! The 2 queen beds in the spacious room with were the most comfortable of our 7-day bicycle odyssey. The breakfast bar was excellent. Stayed here over the weekend for a friend's wedding. I called ahead to make sure we could check in and they told me yes the earliest I could come was 12pm. That did not seem too bad since their normal check in time was 4pm (which is ridiculous) and the wedding began at 430PM. I got there at 1215 and our room wasn't ready but they said it would be an hour or less so we went to eat. Came back at 130PM and our room still wasn't ready! Did not get our room until 215PM. We would have taken our time getting there if I knew it would take so long. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. Breakfast was just ok but nothing good so we ended up going out for brunch. Indoor pool was ok and work out room was tiny. Staff was somewhat friendly but needed to more helpful and friendly. Cute outside eating area. Stay wasn't awful but not great either. read more

On arriving on our bikes after riding from White's Ferry down the main roads with rush hour traffic, the wonderful staff said they would us and our recumbent and recumbent trike back to the Ferry. Unless you want to have the worst service, fan unit wires exposed with bolts laying around, a fan that smells like the room would catch on fire at anytime, hairballs by the jacuzzi that DO NOT belong to you with nuclear water that cools down more than anything and has particles floating around, oh and the card was not even activated to the room, oh you get lucky because sometimes you find stinkbugs in your bed. All in all, my fiance broke out in hives and had an allergic reaction to the sheets, then I spoke to the General manager (amy, unprofessional waste of space and money) who apologized repeatedly and then decided to go shopping ON THE CLOCK and didn't even tell housekeeping that she had assured us a checkout at 1:30 knowing they had absolutely No Business and had plenty time to let us get our full stay and when I went to pull the blankets over my head for the first time on 12 hours, the housekeeper walked in with the DO NOT DISTURB. Well, so much for that. Then without a doubt the housekeeper asked me rudly when we we're checking out and when I asked her if the manager had passed on the message, all of a sudden she didn't speak english. I walked to the desk to talk to the manager yet again and when I asked the boy at the front where she was he told me she went shopping. It must be nice to get paid salary to go shopping and ignore simple requests. I then asked the associate to have her call me to the room when she came back and when she did she was not only rude but insisted on raising her voice to tell me I was two hours late on check out....first off I was not, after her approval and unmet promise the associate told me to stay until I got her call so when she spoke to me like that she had absolutely NO basis because last time I checked, shopping on the clock and shopping were different but apparently I'm wrong? Wow I realized I wasn't getting anywhere with her so I asked to speak with the owner who coincidentally happened to be there also dropping stuff off. When he approached me not only did he not have the proper introductory but contradicted everything I said but was clearly on record because we called and walked up there numerous times through out the night to find the associate that check us in with a group of friends. Now maybe its just me but that's a new concept of conducting business. Not only did the general manager get smart and raise her voice a number of times, the owner said nothing to her and I had to tell her to be quiet and let me speak in peace with the individual that owned the place. Not only did the owner give me attitude but then he walked back to the room and I showed him everything but the bugs because I flushed it but for some odd reason he told me the manager was shopping for the hotel. Well when I asked him why he was here with nothing but time why he didn't do the shopping and let her do the job she's supposed to do he didn't answer. Why? Because he's a liar and hes cheap and insured me that they had higher ratings than Hampton Inn which was completely off topic. So I walked to the front desk and pointed to there guarantee plaque and just to avoid exageration he told me that I had to call back in an hour of check-in. Well, I did because I asked for two additional towels and was told to come to the front and get them....I guess the conversation with the worker and friend was too important.. on top of that he told me that there were handbooks in the room that had the guarantee policy and in fine letters was the specified hour he spoke of which was besides the point because he still didn't honor it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt I asked why the sign in the front didn't have that guideline he told me to my face in a clear voice "they're invisible and I know its there" as if I was born yesterday.... well after that he turned his back to me and when I said that I should get the health inspector in there he dared me to and never looked back. He told me the handbook was in the room and I assure you it was not. When I asked why the room was not put out of order due to all the EVIDENT damage he ignored me and I guess I must of have an invisible cloak I didn't know about. The facility itself is disgusting and the staff was by far the worst people (aside from two young gentlemen ) I have ever encountered in my life. Any person that runs a "business" that way should never be allowed to call themselves an owner OR manager ever again in their life. On top of all of it, I lost my voice this morning from the fact that the unit was not properly put together and there's nothing but dust and bugs and mildew. That building should not even be open. That is one of the biggest mistakes of loudoun county. ..but yet we're one of the richest counties....maybe I was wrong when I expected hospitality from hotel staff. I did a block of rooms at this hotel for my wedding in the area. I have not stayed at the hotel, it did look nice which is why I had to give more than 1 star. My review is based on the wedding coordinator. When we signed the contract to reserve a block of rooms it said the Comfort Suites would provide us with a complimentary shuttle to/from our wedding venue once 10 rooms are booked. A few days before the wedding I found out the shuttle only holds 11 people. There was no fine print anywhere about how many guests the shuttle would accommodate. Or did the coordinator say at any time to make other plans if we have more than 11 people. We had almost 20 rooms booked, she should have notified us a little bit sooner about their shuttle capacity. (Very frustrating since we had many out of town guests without cars!) And they need to re-write their contract. 10 rooms to me does not equal 11 people. read more

We recently had a wedding weekend in Leesburg, Va and used Comfort Suites as a hotel for guests coming in for the wedding. In addition, we hosted a farewell brunch at the Comfort Suites the morning after the wedding, to allow guests one more time to visit and have a casual setting in which to say their goodbyes. It couldn't have been a better choice. Brunch was in The James Monroe room, which was a separate room and patio area which allowed for much needed privacy. Choices for the buffet were all excellent. Food was fresh and hot. Our servers were managing to keep the buffet filled and anticipated every need. The front desk staff was extremely attentive (I wish I had caught the name of the gentleman who was assisting us; he was great) and did not hurry us out of the room at the end of the brunch. Melissa and Cerena in catering/sales were great to work with and I can highly recommend Comfort Suites without any reservation. read more

While we have not yet stayed at the hotel, we are having our wedding party and guests stay here next year! Amy and her staff are very friendly, flexible, and always able to answer questions. We toured 3 different room types before booking and I was impressed with the cleanliness and style of the rooms - all of them were recently redone; we dropped by unannounced so it was not as though they were prepared for us :) I have found other hotels in the area are not as flexible with early check-ins, etc. They were also able to suggest other vendors we should use for our big day! read more

I could not be more pleased with this hotel. I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding at Comfort Suites and used the hotel as our primary hotel for wedding guests. Amy and her staff were wonderful. From the start we were provided with formal and classy insert cards for our wedding invitations, and distributed welcome bags to all of our guests. The rooms were great, the complementary hot breakfast was nice with several options available, and the service was outstanding. The night of the rehearsal dinner, the room was set up for us with linens and china. There were even votive candles on each table. Comfort suites also volunteered to plate the desserts we brought in for the event. It was amazing to feel like everything was taken care of for me. We also booked our wedding transportation through Comfort Suites. The prices were very reasonable, and they even helped us to add an additional shuttle trip last minute, when we discovered that not all of our guests had been able to sign up for a shuttle. I highly recommend Comfort Suites to any bride planning a wedding hotel for her guests in the Leesburg area.
