Overall stay went well. We did have a hiccup where they gave our room to another party upon check in and we had to sleep in a double bed room for our anniversary weekend, but they made it up to us by putting us in a nicer room the following night. I would have liked to stay another night, but parenting duties called! We would definitely come back!

3/26/26 Riverview Breakfast- Fabulous! Have Wendy make your omelet. Paulo, my waiter was great- I would take him trout fishing. If I have time, I'll return in am before leaving for home.

Nice hotel. Rooms were decent. I expected more for the cost. Staff were so polite. Food in the riverside hearth was subpar. Coton & Rye was ok I had the miso glazed salmon...it was not glazed it was just a watery sauce poured over it. The carrots were good. Husband had a burger. It was a typical burger. The spa was ok, we got a couples massage. The massage was just ok. Usually I feel relaxed until the next day I don't. Maybe it was because we had the appt of the day and the ladies were tired.

My friends and I had a very nice and relaxing day at the Spa Minerale. We each booked our spa services in advance online. In order to use the spa amenities on the weekends, you have to book a service. You are able to use the amenities before and after your scheduled service. They have a steam and hot sauna, a hot tub, and a lounge in addition to all of the spa services (massage, manicure, pedicure, facial, etc). The staff constantly checked on us while we waited for our service and the environment was tranquil. I highly recommend

I don't see how this place is able to claim the title of 'resort.' It's shabby and outdated. Linens are rough and thin, and pillows have no shape. Air conditioner does not work, and that wasn't just our room (our friends complained of the same hot, stuffy room). It gets worse. The bathroom emitted an odor off and on that smelled like sewage. Shower was terrible, and on our second morning it wouldn't even turn on. The breakfast buffet was a mix of store bought items and egg mix. Super gross at a high cost of $25 per person. The only decent item was the made to order omelette. Everything else was inedible. Gym was the only part of the hotel that was decent, and their bartender made a great Sazerac. I would not stay here again. Embarrassment to this city in Virginia.

This is a great spot for a relaxing staycation. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a nice view. The resort is pretty large with lots of things to do on site. I enjoyed going to the spa while I was here. They also have a golf course, swimming pools, and a couple restaurants.

It really is unfortunate because my family has been coming here since 2006. We stayed in the two balcony suite. There were spider webs on the balcony and crumbs. Opened the sofa bed for my kids to sleep and there were popcorn crumbs inside the supposedly clean sheets, crumbs underneath the sofa bed (requested new sheets and when I went to change them, I saw the crumbs underneath the sofa bed itself).

We had a work retreat here and it was one of the best resorts I've been to in a long time! There was so much to do here, and the staff were welcoming. The breakfast buffet was delicious, tons of options and everyone raved about the omelette station. They offered movies and activities for guests in the evening, catering to everyone's needs. I'd definitely like to come back here and enjoy the rest of the resort!

Landsdowne Resort is definitely a golfer's dream. Located in or around Leesburg, VA, this resort offers golfing and fine dining. The staff are great. For those travelers who like their points, this hotel is not connected with any chain, nor have a point system. The rooms are a little dated but nice and clean. The property is beautiful and relaxing, offering many amenities. The restaurants on property are a coin flip as far as liking vs dislike. There are local restaurants off property that are nice. I recommend the property if you are a gopher or looking for a private retreat or get-away. You can't go wrong staying at this property.

Clean rooms and nice spa. I enjoyed the walking trail and the extra goodies in our room upon check in . Would highly recommend . Good for weddings or a family staycation. Worth the buck!

The golden bamboo smell that permeates the lobby area is worthy of its own Yelp review. Our first visit to Landsdown Resort & Spa was in September to celebrate my birthday and (Virgoooo!) I couldn't wait to return in December for a belated anniversary/early Christmas gift. Once again, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The 'For the Love of Spa' package includes * Overnight accommodations for 2 people. * (1) Champagne and Chocolate covered strawberries amenity * (1) Round of Drinks for 2 in Coton & Rye **see review * (1) $100 Dining Credit * (1) $200 Spa Credit * (Each day) $50 Breakfast Credit in Riverside Hearth **see review There are several restaurants within the facility, so that's convenient. I never want to leave. EVER. *SIGH* __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Nice hotel as always But I see the decline in maintenance From the clogged sink to dusty bathroom racks. Perhaps it is busy travel season. They do charge you early check in fee , but the strange thing is they said the room is ready but pretty much you need to pay to get into the room few hours sooner. Oh well, if u get off a flight and took a Uber here, you should be able to pay more to get into a room that is clean and empty for you already... 4 stars for friendly staff in all restaurants and buffets

    Blood on sheets. Gross!!

The hotel is what I would call a boutique hotel actually. The lobby and common areas are smallish, the hotel is impeccably clean and though older appears to be well kept. Our suite was spacious and very comfortable. The room did feel dated, from the stark red ascent walls, older carpet and the older lamps to the decommissioned HVAC unit still in the room. We did find the couch to be newer and very comfortable. The design and placement of the furniture throughout the suite was thoughtful and created ease in movement. As our stay was short, we did not have use for the well appointed kitchen. We did not spend much time is the hotel nor enjoy the numerous amenities, however we would not hesitate to stay here again.

I'm a frequent business traveler and stayed here for three nights on my way home from Europe. The carpets and walls were stained, our couch was stained, it just looked tired. The biggest issue, I believe, is that they must accept or be forced to accept hotel vouchers. I worked in the room while I was there during the day and my fellow residents were smoking by every exit, lots of cursing and loitering everywhere shoeless and toothless. I know this may be the minority of residents, but, that is what I saw coming and going every day.

The honest reviews, which are the 1 and 2 star reviews, are pretty much spot on about this place…read more I did review them before staying here, but it was the most convenient location for where I needed to be, so I stayed here anyway... Boy, I wish there was a Marriott in Leesburg, as I'm a Bonvoy member, but I chose this place and to not get points due to location. Anyway - Checking in was adequate, but the lady checking me in could have smiled or acted interested. Got to the room, open the door and am hit in the face with the smell of cigarette smoke - YUCK! I thought it was the room, I found out when I got back from dinner (and the smell was mostly gone) it was their exhaust system in the bathroom... It doesn't seem to do a good enough job pulling all the nasty air out and air much be getting into my room from other rooms, but the smell of cigarettes was very strong and nasty. The bed was comfortable, but the room really needed to be updated. The carpet was nasty and there were the bottles of stuff they hang on the walls (typically in the shower) just laying on the sink, with the wall mount on them, but hey weren't mounted to the wall. Overall, there's very poor upkeep and attention to detail here. I didn't even attempt to try their complimentary breakfast the next morning as I assumed it would be microwaved and not very good/fresh, so I went out. Overall, not sure if I'd stay here again. But I did see that they're supposedly going to go through a refurbishment at some point.

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!
