This is a beautiful hotel. The beds are comfy. Rooms are clean and spacious. Heating system works great. They offer free wifi, indoor pool and whirlpool, free wash and dry use and free hot breakfast. Rooms look little like pics. Check-in woman hassled my husband regarding his service animal. MOLD in the bathroom. I do not believe they have ANY accessible rooms. Nor tubs or showers but advertise as such. I do not like to have to clean my hotel room but had to clean mold in bathroom. read more

Our family stayed here. There was blood on the comforter, blood on the telephone cord, mold in the showers, the entire hotel was musty and humid as the Congo, missing tiles on the floor, and the overall state of this hotel was just filthy and disgusting. Seems ok at first but isn't. Bathroom had a slow running sink (we reported it and it was not addressed during our two day stay). Two lights out in bathroom - also never fixed. Bath tub had the old non slip stickers that were covered in black grime from peoples feet. Bathroom smelled like a sewer every time you flushed. Shoddy plaster and wall repairs around shower and tub. Not a single hook or towel rack to hang anything. Beds had tiny square shaped bed pillows. Hotel as a whole had a bad smell. We asked twice for extra bedding for pull out sofa and it was never delivered. read more

KICKED OUT FOR BEING RACIST We normally stay at nicer hotels but booked this one because they offered a pool and hot tub. Our grandsons wanted to swim. The furniture in the lobby was NASTY! Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Very stained. Our room was ok, mold in the bathroom, lots of broken tiles and chipped paint in the main room. Very basic and not very clean. The hot tub was broken and dirty and the pool area was extremely unsafe. But none of that was as bad as the moment we got kicked out because the cleaning staff accused our barely seven year old grandson of being a flaming racist! I couldn't believe it! They manager chewed us out without even asking our side of the story. Btw.. there is no other side of the story. The exchange where he allegedly said these horrible and extremely cliché things NEVER HAPPENED!!! He didn't even talk to them. But! Management wouldn't hear of it! They kicked us out with a scolding. They said we were never welcome to come back again, as if I would ever want to anyway. In case you're wondering, what they accused my grandson of saying was, and I quote: "Are you Mexicans? You need to learn to speak English or else go back to Mexico because this is America and we speak English here. Remember, this was allegedly out of the mouth of a child that just turned seven. He doesn't even know what Mexico is. No one in our family talks like that and neither does he. No clue why they lied on him like that, what's to gain? read more

The room smelled musty and of smoke. One light was out in the bathroom and the overhead light was flashing. It was not clean. Supplies such as Kleenex were out almost immediately. They were not prepared. We would never stay here again. We were also informed we would be compensated due to the bad experience and never were. read more

This hotel is the reason I will no longer use Choice Hotels. I had to cancel a reservation due to a meeting getting canceled because of COVID. The hotel told me that it was not possible and that if I didn't show up I would be considered a no-show. I booked another Choice Hotel in Lincoln, NE because it was closer to my appointment the next day. I then called the corporate number where I spent almost an hour on hold. The man at corporate told me that I would be refunded and gave ma a case number to refer to in case the credit card didn't get refunded. My card was never refunded. A month later I called to have the charge taken off my card and was told they had no record of a refund. The corporate office then told me that it is up to the Manhattan Comfort Suites to refund the money and that they had no control over the matter. I have over 70 nights at Choice Hotels in 2020. I told the corporate office that I needed the $100.11credited back or I would use another hotel chain as my primary choice. They told me they were sorry to see me go. That is the type of service to expect from this hotel. Do not stay at the Manhattan, KS Comfort Suites. There are much better hotels at better prices with better customer service in Manhattan, KS. read more

Stayed here for a recent graduation. To be honest, I can't comment much on the cleaniness of the room (we arrived late after a few drinks) and I didn't look that closely at that sort of thing. Beautiful hotel for Manhattan. Had a 2 queen room: Room was super clean and spacious! The bathroom was big too however the tiles were caving in as the shower water spills over so the tiles were literally shifting under our feet. The bed was super soft and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good and had a wide variety, happy to say they had heathy options. I used the gym while I was there, it's a little small but they have free weights and two treadmills. There was no water in the filtered water tank so that was a little disappointing. They have free tea beside the front desk which is refreshing after a long day. I'd stay here again read more

As a touring band we visit lots of hotels day in and day out. This one stood out to us. On top of a great pool and spa they have a sauna! The lobby is an open space plan with a great breakfast area. Our room was way larger than expected with a couch and sitting area. Beds were very comfortable and clean. There's even a nature trail about a half mile away for a relaxing walk. This place is the place to stay at while in Manhattan. Clean, nice modern rooms, indoor pool, workout room, full free breakfast and located in a great area. Rates are reasonable and the staff was always pleasant. The WiFi initially was sporadic but we called the tech line and everything was squared away. There's a little snack bar area if you get the munchies. The free breakfast included eggs, waffles, sausage, fruit, cereal, breads, donuts, coffee and juice. We will return! By far the nicest hotel stay and experience I've ever had. Everything about this hotel is over the top and primed for an awesome stay. As I checked in, I was asked numerous times if i needed anything and all of my questions were answered in the most upbeat way. The customer service was by far SUPERB!!! Everyone that I came in contact was great & so very helpful. They all offered to do whatever was needed to make the stay enjoyable. Really nice especially after a 10 hour drive. Everything looks fine at first glance, but they're not really cleaning anything. The first sign was the grout in the bathroom floor, which is black around the toilet. Look near the wall and it's light grey. That shows they quickly wipe the surface to make sure they remove dust and debris, but based on how dirty it is they haven't actually cleaned the floor for a VERY long time. Then I went to make coffee. I opened the filter basket to find an old pod still there from a previous guest. The desk has a dirt mark which was never cleaned either. The desk and coffee filter could be dismissed as staff issues, but the bathroom floor shows signs of systematic neglect by management. I don't believe they have a commitment to cleanliness, only a desire to look clean, which I find unacceptable. They get 2 stars because the room is fine otherwise. If they actually cleaned, the hotel wouldn't be bad for what it is. And if clean to you is no dust or surface dirt, this hotel may be fine for you. I ask for a space free of germs and grime buildup, which this room is not. read more

Will never stay here again. Checked in at 4:30 and was not told about an early check in fee. There are no signs stating there is a check in fee and the front desk did not tell us of this fee. I called to ask the manager to refund my $35 and she was very rude, yelled at me, and was very argumentive, and says it's their policy. Well it should be a policy to inform guest of any fees. I will be making a complaint to corporate. If you value your money you will not stay here. They charge fees because they feel like it. Manager doesn't care about your complaints just about money. Don't stay at this hotel! She is horrible and so is this hotel. read more

The hotel itself isn't terrible. The cleaning service, or the lack there of, is what makes the stay uncomfortable. I had to write a note and leave it on the counter asking for toilet paper because I was out. It was low when I arrived, not a huge deal, but 4 days later I still didn't get any. They haven't wiped anything down, changed the bedding or given me more coffee. I know I'm not at the Double tree but I'm also not at a crappy motel. The other people that are staying here for business with me, have had the same complaints. read more

There are no words ro express how terrifying it was. I've spent at least 6 hours trying to get a cooperate phone number. Then also trying to retain an attorney. It was 5;50 pm. Their housekeeping wouldn't quit banging on my door. I said no thanks. They wouldn't quit. Then I smoker in the room. But I tried to take a bath. No hot water. They said we will charge u 250. I said ok. It was just me and my 5 lb Chihuahua After the housekeeping I was afraid to go outside when I finally got hot water and was taking a bath another man( sorry girl)banged in my door and told me to get out. I had to dry off. Get my little dog and leave. Why? I didn't do anything except smoke In the room. Which I completely agreed to the fine. I was afraid because housekeeping wouldn't go away. Stayed here on a business trip - was working Country Stampede. The facilities, the bed, the room, the comfort - all fantastic. Clean and perfect. It was an exhausting week and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout. They let me check in early, and they answered all of my silly questions. I don't know how they do it but the definitely have something special here. Compared to some other recent stays at other hotel chains, this is by far the best hotel experience I've had in a very long time. read more

Stayed at hotel a month ago. Electronic key mechanism to room door failed completely - front desk was unable to open the door - solution was to call a locksmith and wait..... took over an hour and half. All our belonging (car keys, money, clothes were in the room. Missed one of the evenst that we had traveled in for. Manager's response was continued glib "so sorry" with no real good solution. THey actually had NO WAY of opening the door without calling for outside help. After much curt discussion, we were asked to leave the hotel once the door was opened by locksmith - police were called too. We've stayed at 3 other Comfort suites in different towns since and all say the experience was ridiculous - yet to hear a response to my request for review of procedures. Totally unsafe to have failing door lock mechanisms without a way to access room internally. read more
