I checked into this hotel today with my three daughters and immediately noticed a strong musky/mold smell throughout the property. I tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt despite the run-down condition and loud, uninviting hallways with maintenance doors open and constant beeping noises. Once we entered the room, the odor was overwhelming. Within minutes I began experiencing shortness of breath and an asthmatic/allergic reaction. My oldest daughter even asked if I was okay because I became pale, clammy, and visibly unwell. I have a mold allergy, and it became clear very quickly that staying there was not safe for me. I genuinely believe that if I had remained in that room any longer, I may have required emergency medical attention. We packed our belongings immediately and returned to the front desk to explain the situation and request help. I was shocked by the response. After explaining that I was having a severe reaction and could not safely stay in the room, I was simply told "sorry" and denied a refund. As a mother traveling alone with three daughters, the complete lack of concern, empathy, or willingness to help was incredibly upsetting. We left immediately and had to find somewhere else to stay while I was still feeling physically ill. I would strongly caution anyone with asthma, allergies, or sensitivities to mold/mildew and strong odors of such before booking here. read more

I stayed here over the weekend room 233 room was not really clean. It was very dusty. The couch on the very top had dust. The corner of the carpets were dirty. The tile in the bathroom cracked every time you walked over it. Also every morning there was a bug in the bathroom sink. I just felt terrified that there would be bugs in the room. I don't know what it was if they were coming from the drain. I've stayed here before I never have this happen. Unfortunately I don't think I will be staying here again. read more

This place is really run down, dingy and dirty! We checked out after being there for just over 4 hours. Our feet were black from the carpet. I had set my backpack on the second bed and when getting to the car to put in away when leaving, there were bugs on my backpack. That's disgusting! They charged me full price even though we left 4 hours after getting there. The hallways were extremely loud, you could hear everything that was going on out there from inside your room. They didn't seem to care at all when we checked out and told them. The lady had an attitude and was basically telling me "oh well". Save your time and money and go somewhere else. No one wants to bring home bedbugs and no one wants to walk around on floors that turn your feet black. That's just gross! read more

The room itself was ok. It was not packed but I still was put in a room where I had people on both sides of me. Around 11pm I could hear them walking around or running around, every time a door closed. It was awful! I had to sleep with airpods on because it went on for a while. In the morning we went down for breakfast at 8 (breakfast is served from 6-9:30) and there was really nothing left. We waited to see if they would come and refill it but they didn't so we went to a nearby restaurant and spent $120 on not so good food. Comfort Suites is easy access right off the 5 freeway. Friendly front desk staff greeting each guest as the came and left. They offer free breakfast, eggs sausage, waffles, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fresh fruits, variety of juices, coffee, tea and cocoa. Next to the front desk they do have a small snack bar area to purchase in case you need a midnight or daytime snack. We stayed in a 1king bed suite, there was also a pull out couch and desk center. The room looked inviting and clean and smelled good when we walked in. We make a trip down to Anaheim at least once a year. When we go to LA for a day before going to Anaheim this hotel will definitely be out place to stay. read more

I will just say..... what the.....? The first room had a condom wrapper by the bed on arrival. Smelled like someone had been smoking and we had the eerie sensation someone had just left. Called to get a new room. They said nobody was in that room yesterday. I replied 'well, no customer maybe' The clerks downstairs were apologetic and polite and I realize that they did not clean the rooms. I am not an overly fussy person but.... Given a second room. Stayed here for the night after traveling from Las Vegas to visit the amusement park. Nothing to truly brag about, comfy room, decent facilities, nice staff. Just needs a larger parking lot. read more

Not horrible. Some of the reviews are a little off-putting, but it's really not that bad! It's a decent priced hotel that's close to Six Flags. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The one thing that was really gross was the hot tub, which I would NOT recommend venturing into. The water was gray and cloudy. Also, I'm not a fan of their breakfast and grumpy breakfast staff, but luckily, you are surrounded by tons of other options nearby. read more

The hotel staff was all wonderful and this isn't a reflection of them. Just wanted to make that clear! But the hotel itself is in need of renovations and repairs. The room was okay - it was a good size, two queen beds and a couch with ottoman as well as a desk with a chair, fridge and microwave. The AC unit was filthy - I had to wipe down the vents before feeling comfortable to even turn it on if necessary. I pulled the filters at that point just to take a peek and they were even worse. Needless to say, my family and I did not turn the unit on during our four night stay. The beds were comfortable enough but some of the bedding had stains. We ended up stripping the comforters and top sheets and used our own that we brought instead. The room was dusty - the door to the closet looked like it had never been wiped down. The lamps in the room also had dust on them. The walls had some stains even. The bathroom had pink mold in the shower, floors were dirty and there was a piece missing out of the bathroom counter. The sink was rusty. Again, it was okay but definitely not great. And it was a $500+ stay. I expected more, although I know that is still considered on the low end. read more

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Accommodating. Had to fine place for me and 2 cats because of fires in CA. They allowed me (and others) to have our pets (no charge). During a very stressful time, the calm and pleasant demeanor of the young woman who waited on me was so helpful! P.S Bed was awesome! read more

This is a pretty average stay and it's definitely not worth what they are charging. To be in Stevenson Ranch was expecting it to be much nicer. Rooms were somewhat okay but you can tell these rooms are rarely cleaned. My son found lots of items and stuff left from other guests. Sheets had stains from prior stay Floors were cracked in the bathroom and shower looked pretty rusty. Please check your cards used on filed. This hotel likes to overcharge. I had a fee for about $30. When I called and inquired they couldn't give me a reasoning for the charge. Was told they contact the manager and they'd get back to me. They never did so I called back within 2 hours because how can they not know and they charged. Luckily it was resolved and was refunded. Just be cautious and always look at your payment transactions. read more

Please understand that this review is NOT a reflection on any of the staff. The hotel itself needs some work, it's a but run down. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are kind, friendly and accommodating. I really wanted to give the place a five star review, but I had to knock off a star due to the place's condition. We didn't use the pool, the fitness room is pretty small with a few machines. *Please note that room's will not be serviced unless you request it. The breakfast consisted of an array of cereals, juices, eggs, ham, fruit, prepackaged breakfast pastries and waffles. There also was a coffee and tea station. Stayed here last week. I left my expensive leather jacket. I called the next day. They said it wasn't there. It's funny, housekeeping "didn't find" it. Basically I feel like I was robbed. This is not the hotel you want to stay at if you want to checkout at 11am!!!! We have been staying here all the time when we are in the LA area (from Central CA). We have stayed here for 8 different stays, totaling 19 days over the last 9 months. We have addressed the same issue with the manager, but it looks like it went on deaf ears. The rooms we've stayed at were clean. Some rooms have a funky smell to it (imagine the smell of a carpet that was soaked with water then left to dry on its own). Yeah, that kind of smell. The breakfast is decent and typical of what you will find in an average hotel. Starting September 2023 onwards, our stays here have been sh*tty with housekeeping knocking at your door between 8-9am to ask what time we are checking out or to simply remind us that checkout is at 11am. We are adults and are well aware of the checkout time. There is no need to remind us. It's hard when you're trying to sleep in after getting back to the hotel late or when you can't simply sleep early and want to catch up on some sleep. The staff here are all nice, but it's housekeeping that is really making this hotel look bad. The rates here aren't the cheapest. Sometimes, they are about what you will pay in a Hilton or Marriott hotel. read more

This hotel is 8 minutes away from six flags and so clean with great staff and except customer service. They also have breakfast with a good variety of things to eat. I was very happy with our room and all the service we received here. Will be visiting again soon for another trip to six flags as we are members there. read more

Terrible and heartless customer service. We had prepaid to "save money". Yet, with a medical emergency the night before; we were not able to travel (admitted with swelling of the brain). We provided medical documentation and both the GM Christopher Lynch and the receptionist Dori were unrelenting in refunding our payment. We will not be able to travel anytime soon. If there was an option for 0 stars, I'd give that. But, since there isn't, I give a star for location. The location is good! The rooms are lacking and we had no hot water. The beds were terrible. The staff, management, and grounds are definitely lacking. Not only did we have to wait forever for anyone to acknowledge us - but, we told them upon Checkin that one of our rooms (we were with a group) was in the Emergency room and being admitted and couldn't come and still they later refused a refund stating we didn't specifically say 'cancel' - we just said they weren't coming and were in the hospital. In writing, they stated that is the reason vs. the nonrefundable. They offered to allow them to carry the credit with the hotel and come another time instead - which was better than a kick in the pant's (bonus point). Sadly, when that member found out they had a brain tumor and asked for a refund, while offering the medical documentation, because they clearly can't travel with their 3 kids and 1 brain tumor, they were denied the refund again. However, what is more important to note is the attitude and disgust that came from management - it was appalling. As a corporate officer myself, if ANY of my employees acted, spoke to, and treated anyone the way management did at Comfort Suites Magic Mountain, they would simply be terminated from the company. Due to the fact that there were many interactions with the same manager and each time, no matter who he spoke to, his tone, words, and demeanor were unprofessional and inappropriate. My boyfriend and I drove 13 hours straight, this was basically our first human interaction of the day. Mark, to put simply, is one of the most genuine human beings we've ever interacted with in customer service. , we were exhausted by the time we got there, and he was informative, warm, and kind. This hotel would receive 3 stars if not for the price. For $157/night, I expect much better out of a hotel. The facilities were old and just clean enough. I didn't find any bugs, but there was an old bottle cap on the floor of my room and brown stains on the shower curtain. Water pipes were really loud, you could very clearly hear when guests in rooms upstairs were taking a shower. One pro was the free breakfast - good variety and decent food (cereals and yogurt were name brand as opposed to store brand). Would not stay here again. read more

If I could do a negative I would! A house keeper stole my headphones from my room. The manager was nice at first and said they would look into it. I received a email from him stating he look at the cameras and couldn't see anything definitive that would allow us to know if anyone else entered the room and no video evidence shows that the Housekeeper exited with any items. read more

Our family stayed at this hotel one night for my son's 17th birthday trip to Magic Mountain from December 15th to 16th, 2023. I left in a hurry when we checked out and didn't check the closet--a mistake I will never make again. I forgot my Disney collector's Lion King coat in the closet--something that retailed at just under $400 brand new. I came back THE SAME DAY to retrieve it and was told it was never turned in. The people at the front desk were kind and let me check the room as no one had checked into it. The closet was empty, with no coat inside. The front desk employee took me and let me check the lost and found box myself... but my coat was nowhere to be found. They told me that it was possible it was on the housekeeper's cart. I asked to check the carts but was told that I couldn't and that they would talk to the cleaning crew the next morning. Again, the lady was very kind. She took down a detailed description of my coat, brown leather suede arms, navy blue front and back, an embroidered Rafiki with the year 1994 on the front, and a large, embroidered scene of Simba and Scar with the words The Lion King all across the back. She took my information and told me if it was turned in that we could pay the shipping and they would mail it to me. We then left for Disneyland for the rest of my son's trip. My husband called the next day to see if it had been turned in but it was not. I called again the day after that to see if the employee who had stolen it had turned it in, but they had not. If they checked the hotel security cameras, they definitely would see me enter the hotel with this coat ON. I know I left it in the closet, and it was not turned in, so my coat was STOLEN by a Comfort Suites employee! I'm guessing the maid. Yes, I should have checked the closet before I left, and yes, hotels are supposed to have honest staff workers who don't steal items left behind-especially when I came back the same day to get the coat! I would think again before staying here. I have read several other reviews that also speak about items being stolen by the maids! Check them out for yourself! I am hoping you can find other nice hotels in this area that hire HONEST workers who won't steal things you might leave behind. I know I am not the first person they stole from and since they keep getting away with it, they will continue to do it again and again! My prayer is that they will soon get caught, get their on the right path, stop taking what doesn't belong to them, and stop hurting other people, because it does hurt people when you steal from them! read more

Dude. If you're staying there check the room before anything. It's fucking gross. The place itself was whatever but not what I would expect when paying 172 a night. I used the Hotel Tonight app so I guess beggars can't be choosers. However, someone tried to enter the room at night; the door was unlocked and the latched moved forward like someone actually pushed open the door DESPITE THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN! I would say this was the cleaning crew but this happened before 5 am! To make matters worse, look at the pictures. Check in was quick and front desk had good customer service. Our room was clean and neat plus smelled good. Beds were comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. They are seriously a vacation saver. I had previously booked a vacation home in Vrbo and had the absolute worse experience of my life. I thought my family vacation was done for but that was when by a stroke of luck I found this hotel. The service was wonderful and the rooms were neatly kept. The rooms were clean and in perfect condition the staff was amazing. It is a family friendly place where one could enjoy themselves without having to worry about mayhem. If I could give them zero stars I would. I have stayed here a few times and have always had an issues. I had my leg cut open previous by one of the screw in the bathtub, at the time I let them know and was refunded. You'd figure they would fix the issue, put proper hardware in the tub? But no on my return stay the same screws were in the tub. Not to mention how dirty the room was on top of that. The remotes didn't work for the TVs, I just read a review from a year ago that said she had the same issue yet they also told me they just got new TVs. Sounds like they know the remotes don't care and have for over a year and Haven't fixed the issue. So again I reached out and was beyond appalled at how rude and unprofessional the manager is. He basically told me I was the only person that ever complained about the screws in the tub so it doesn't matter. Are you kidding me?! Apparently I should have sued them when I was injured rather then just reach out and expect them to fix the issue. He then went on to say he was going to refuse service to me in the future due to me complaining about it. And I'm not longer allowed to stay at their hotel. Way to take no responsibility for the lack of care for the hotel you run. I didn't ask for a refund or a free stay I asked for him to fix the issues in his hotel and now I'm not allowed there. Just got off the phone with Maggie and let me tell you, she is ahhhhmazing!! My parents power has been out since yesterday and they could not stand being without power and sitting in the dark. I spoke with Maggie and she confirmed they had a handicap accessible room and that they have an elevator. Here's a fun one! My power went out so I booked a hotel through hoteltonight.com stayed at Comfort Suites. Woke up and saw chips and bottle caps on the floor so clearly not cleaned. It gets better. I start a pot of coffee... There's a dirty needle in it!! I pack my things. The front desk won't refund me due to booking through a third party. Hotel tonight doesn't even have a phone number on their site. So I call the hotels customer complaint line. Same story. I must go through hotel tonight. I sent an email. I'm livid. Ended up checking in at 2am due to getting off of work late. The front desk operator quickly checked me in with a smile. I was absolutely amazed by the size of the room, the comfort of the bed, and how cozy the atmosphere seemed. Plus everything seemed squeaky clean. In fact the smell of the room was super refreshing. Not only that, but they allowed me to check out at 12pm instead of 11am which is the normal check out time. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for the price. More bang for your buck! This is the absolute best place we stay at on a regular basis!!! The rooms are so nice and clean and the service is beyond amazing!!! Mark was our welcoming service and he was beyond what we could expect!!! He greeted us with a smile and a funny joke which was refreshing after a long day!!! He was very accommodating and made sure we were satisfied with our stay! Our son had a toe injury (blister from basketball) and he had the knowledge to provided us with an option of first aid.
