Horrible hotel due to the poor customer service of the rude, disrespectful Assistant General Manager, Sean Thomas. We arrived at the hotel around 4:15pm and went to Room 323 to find 7 dead crickets in the room. Asked for housekeeping to come clean the room and was provided a broom and dust pan so we could sweep them up. Front desk clerk said she could not leave and there was no housekeeping on duty. Saturday morning we were advised by another front desk clerk we would be compensated for the first day. That was fine but after returning from UT tailgating we found housekeeping put the do not disturb sign on the door so she wouldn't have to clean the room. Mind me we had a great deal of trash and no clean towels. I went to the front desk clerk, Anna Alicia who was very apologetic but messed up when she called Mr. Rude, Sean Thomas, at home to advise him of what housekeeping did. He yelled at her and me-wasn't apologetic and lied and stated he called us at 12pm to notify us of him comping the first night-which was a lie because he didn't leave a message on the room phone or our cell phone. I was told by him if I didn't like the service to leave the hotel the first time because I wouldn't speak to anyone above him so I called him a damn lie because he didn't own that hotel! At checkout we attempted to see what compensation we would get for having to stay in a dirty room and he lied and said you were comped half for each day. He was screaming at us and us at him. Mind me customers were in the lobby. Told us there was the door for us to leave and he wasn't compensating us anything because we put the DND sign on the door. Remember we were gone from 11:15am and the housekeeper saw us leaving with UT gear on so who would have been disturbed the crickets we didn't see or the trash that was in the room! I am sure the lazy housekeeper does this often because she knows her sorry Assistant GM, Sean Thomas will not do anything to her! We put the dirty towels and trash outside the door so we would not have to keep them in the room with us. Worst hotel experience of my life!! We took the GM/Owner card so let's see how he responds! I will never stay at a Choice Hotel again after this experience! read more

This Comfort suites right outside Pflugerville was perfect. Nice location, comfy bed, sitting area in room and the tub/shower was great. Very strong water pressure. Many channels on the television and nice picture. Also have reading lights on both sides of bed. Only negative was bathroom fan did not work. Recommend. read more

Comfort Inn or Comfort Suites is always my "go to" hotel of choice. I've stayed at their hotels in Austin, Los Angeles, Corpus Christi, and Kansas City and I have not been disappointed. The hotel is always clean and bed bug free. Yes, I check for bed bugs wherever I lay my head. They have a private parking lot, and I have never had an issue parking my car there. Also at every hotel, free breakfast buffet is offered. I love the waffles! The Texas locations have the Texas shaped waffle iron. It's so cute! Usually the breakfast includes, but is not limited to, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit, muffins, gravy (for making biscuits and gravy), apples, bananas, and cereal. Apple juice, orange juice and coffee is served too. The staff is always friendly, the rates are always the best, and if you sign up to be a member, you can accumulate points that will get you a free stay. Not bad at all. The name says "comfort" and they actually live up to it. The bed is so comfortable! I always get a good nights sleep, which is important when traveling because I'm always on the go. This location is perfect because it's across the street from a major grocery store, HEB, so you can grab some snacks, water and wine. That's a win-win situation! Also, the hotel is basically in the same parking lot as Cheddars Scratch Kitchen, which makes having lunch or dinner easy. EXCELLENT value for the price. Probably one of the best managed value hotels that I've stayed at for a while. Reception, food, and housekeeping workers were very respectful and efficient. Guests were appropriately spaced out and segregated by floor (e.g. workers on the ground floor, couples on upper floors). Breakfast was well-stocked. Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were clean, and it was nice to have restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel put in new beds the day we got there, so the beds were very comfy and they seem to maintain their rooms very well. We actually were in town for a training at another hotel chain that was almost double the price, and that hotel was much more chaotic, with workers conversing loudly in public walkways and dining areas, the hotel just seemed less sanitary, and bathrooms were not well kept. So this is definitely an excellent value for the price if you are staying in this area! read more

Visiting Austin for work. Place was between downtown and round rock (where I needed to be). Overall extremely happy with my stay. Room was large and Wi-Fi excellent. Staff is okay. Don't expect to take a hot shower, at best I got lukewarm. If you use gym equipment at the hotel - most is broken. Coffee in the morning is good. I think the big attraction is the indoor pool so lots of families. The hotel suite part is not set up well. The tv is mounted to wall and located to view in bed - put the tv on a swivel and let the tv be viewed in the sitting area. It is clean, parking not an issue and located right off IH35. Please note: We ended up staying an extra day. The hotel said we could and would honor the same price. Except that is not what they charged me. Upon check out I really had a long discussion with front desk clerk for a return of $17.55. Honestly I don't think she wanted to do it but finally got that we were not going away until we resolved the situation. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews. I live in California and came to this establishment. Stayed 3 nights. I came here because I am a regular here. First the pool had some chemical that turned both me and my daughter swimwear yellow. Wouldnt wash out. Secondly on my last night staying here I noticed cockroaches coming out of the microwave. I took photos there was babies and adults. I felt fear of them going in my luggage so had to sleep with light on..not a good sleep and there was a sign that said fully sanitized. I told front desk she was on personal call and only said okay we will spray for bugs. Not apologizing. Then I emailed management and no response. I like to give second chances to corporations but this time I cant. read more

I stayed here for 2 weeks recently and will be here for 3 weeks this time. The manager here is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a few years old but looks new. Free breakfast in the morning and coffee all day. Nice mini suites with microwave and fridge. There is a nice selection of TV channels. Indoor pool and fitness center. I was treated horrible at this location. The manager Bill Winters was very disrespectful towards me. I was staying here with my family and my service dog . I am a disabled veteran and I was wounded in a ied blast in Afghanistan in 2011. I have a service dog who helps with my anxiety and ptsd , while we were at breakfast I got a call from the manager and he told me to pack my bags and leave because my service dog was barking. When we arrived at hotel our plan was to allow my service dog to go stay with a friend so she would not cause anymore problems. I informed him of this decision and he still kicked my family and I out of the hotel. He also had the cops come and escort me out of hotel after I informed him of the ADA rules regarding service dogs. I will never stay at this hotel again. This is not a Veteran friendly hotel. read more

This may normally be a very nice hotel, but not today: I was stunned to find myself entering an active construction zone no more than 45 minutes ago, on trying to check into the Comfort Suites in Pflugerville, TX. The lobby is being deconstructed with a jack hammer, the air is filled with possibly asbestos-containing dust, and the decibel level is literally deafening and very likely at a level to cause damage to the poor clerk and to any travelers dumb enough to try to check in. The check in involves ducking one's head under a plastic sheet to find the check in desk and the poor beleaguered clerk within. By sign language and lip reading it IS possible to understand him, and he you, but after a minute of this torture your ears are ringing. I went to the hotel's reservations page to see how I could have missed notice of these dangerous conditions, and I find not a single word. As a Diamond member I intend to make sure that Mr. Pacious hears of this and does something constructive about it. read more

Nice modern and clean hotel with great staff and spacious rooms. There are 3 stories and lots of eateries nearby, from fast food to casual dining, from seafood to TexMex and burgers. This hotel is wonderful! The people and service are incredible! We have blocked rooms here several times for folks traveling from out-of-town who attended our Bible conferences. I cannot recall a single complaint from any of those who have stayed here. Recently, our small church needed a pool to perform a baptism ceremony, so my husband called to see if they would let us rent their pool. Anthony took his call, and he explained the situation to him. Anthony understood the unusual request. He connected him with Jon (the manager.) Not only did Jon allow us to use the pool for the ceremony but he allowed us to use it at no charge! When we arrived on Sunday, Anthony warmly greeted us at the front desk. He gave us a key to allow us into the pool area. The lobby, the hallway, and the pool area were all extremely clean. The place was obviously well taken care of. The pool was just the right temperature. It was an excellent time for our church. Thank you Comfort Suites for providing the venue. God is good. read more

Okay... so far the hotel is clean and reasonable. My complaint is actually that even though I booked and paid in advance through Hotels.com I was asked to leave a $150 deposit before I would be getting a room. When I asked the lady at the front desk what this was for she said that the manager had specifically instructed her to get $150 deposit from two people this evening, and I was one of them. Now, to put this in perspective; I am a single lady, traveling alone, with one small suitcase. I have never in my life damaged a hotel, stolen a towel, or had a hotel party. I stayed at the comfort suites on the other side of Austin about a week ago. I even went so far as to call them and see if somehow something had been damaged in my room that I was not aware of and I had gotten flagged for some reason that I had not been told about. They said "no there's nothing wrong". (also, when I checked in there they took a credit card for incidentals and authorized one dollar on it and there were no charges made to that card so I'm going to choose to believe them when they said there were no damages.) I booked to stay at the previous comfort suites through the exact same website, so I know this deposit it is not a peculiarity to this website. Thanks to the cancellation policy of both the hotel and hotels.com I did not have the option of leaving without forfeiting the cost of my room. But it almost would have been worth it. Incredibly insulting. Unreasonable. Non standard. And unexplained. Will not be back. I don't care if the sheets turn out to be silk spun gold. I will be emailing corporate with the manager's name as well because frankly, I don't see any reason I needed to be treated like some kind of common vandal. I also think it was absolutely crap that this manager left no explanation to the person who was supposed to check me in and was "unreachable" to comment or explain. You put your employee on the spot and didn't give her the proper info or back up. That is low. To be blunt this feels whole thing feels shady. My cc provider has been instructed not to honor the charge and I signed the receipt as such so... whatever dishonest stupidity this is... good luck with it. read more

This is such a gem in its category! Super clean facilities and a highly responsive, friendly staff make staying here a joy. I am here on an extended stay. There is a gym, pool and guest coin laundry. Free full American breakfast each morning. Coffee is served all day. In the afternoon, there are freshly-baked cookies in the lobby. The suites have microwaves and a mini fridge to make long stays convenient. There is a market across the street (a big, busy street, so I take my car instead of walking.) The rates are moderate, making this a super value. I feel very safe and comfortable here. I highly recommend this little hotel! read more

Sylvia at the front desk went above and beyond to help us extend our stay for a few hours and allowed us to use a meeting room so our children could practice for their string and quartet competition! I had to stay a week for work and this Comfort Suite is absolutely the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Front Desk Clerk Roger made our stay that much more enjoyable. He gave us good advice on where to order the best pizza (Austin Pizza and they deliver) he look out for our safety since it was my daughter, myself and my 21 day old grandson. He makes you feel welcomed and does his best to go above and beyond his normal duties. Roger truly looks out for his guest.
