I really wish I could give this place more stars because i thought the front desk staff was outstanding and the free breakfast buffet was quite a spread, considering that it was free. We were expecting to use the trundle bed and when we pulled it out, the mattress was stained and there were lots of black little things on the mattress.....i didn't see any of them move around, but it creeped us out. The hotel was at 100% capacity due to a local tournament so they had no other rooms to switch us to. In the end, myself + 7 year old slept on the couch. I didn't sleep a wink that night. Also, i think this place is due for a remodel. Just seems like a dated property and the bathroom could definitely be refreshed. read more

I brought a giant group to this hotel totaling close to 150 rooms and was treated like absolute dirt. I still can't believe how illogical, confrontational, and rude their entire staff was to our group, all stemming from their unhinged GM named Holly. She is a real piece of work. The morning our group was to arrived I asked them to put out this very simple "Welcome to Austin" sign addressed toward those from our group. We've used this same sign at 40+ properties nationwide. The nutcase proceeded to very aggressively tell me they can't advertise in their hotel. It wasn't an advertisement lol. A simple sign for the night of check in considering we were taking up 4/5 of their hotel for the entire weekend! Give me a break, right? How the conversation should have went: Brent, we've been waiting for you and are excited for the big weekend. Thanks so much for bringing your large group to our hotel. Here's my cell phone. Don't hesitate to call or email me if you run into any issues. We appreciate your business. Instead, this absolutely ridiculous woman named Holly proceeded to CALL THE POLICE and file a no trespassing order since I persisted to try to convince her to allow the sign. She basically kicked me out of the hotel for simply trying to reason. But I learned she is not logical and has no common sense so it was a dead end. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing! I'm not a fan of cancel culture and going after people's jobs but if anyone deserves to be fired, this insane lady Holly needs to be axed IMMEDIATELY. When Monday hits I'm working up the corporate ladder to make sure Marriott makes it up to me and that this obnoxious obnoxious, power tripping woman doesn't play this game with someone else ever again. Absolute nightmare and added stress I didn't need while trying to focus on bringing hospitality to our large event and its participants that chose to join us. Total slap in the face. I have been trying out the smaller accommodations of hotels in the last year. I must admit, I'm loving it. It's more personal than the bigger hotels. Of course, they have a Continental Breakfast. But I have Platinum Status and can use the Concierge Lounge at the biggest hotels. But I like the smaller chain because it's a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff talk to you about everything that connects you with them. Also, they are always around when you need them, checking to make sure your stay is going smoothly, and to just talk. Even the guests, like me, are friendly and easy-going. But I like this particular hotel so much that I added an extra night. I didn't have to, because I get the keys to my place at 1 pm. But I thought I would stay here while I go furniture shopping and get my place together, because this hotel is so accommodating, relaxing, and is in the best location! Roaches, Roaches, Roaches During my stay, I found roaches in my room 411. I immediately packed my stuff and ran to the lobby. The receptionist asked why I was switching room. He then asked if the room was not clean. I showed him pictures of the roaches crawling on the wall. They switched my room to 328 on the other side of the hotel. My son had a sporting event at the sports center across the street, and we had to choose between this hotel, the Courtyard Marriot, Hilton, Tru and some others. Since we are Bonvoy Members and we liked the idea of having a suite, we chose SpringHill Suites. We immediately regretted our decision. We arrived late in the evening and had to get up at 6am the following morning, so we unpacked everything, made the pull-out sofa bed, and tried to get our son to bed ASAP. It was after we were all settled in and ready for bed that my wife realized our room had no hot water. When we picked up the phone to call the front desk, the phone did not work. After we finally spoke with the front desk, we were initially told that the hotel was sold out, and a maintenance person would come in the morning. We had no choice but to suck it up. Then about 15 mins later, a new room was found for us! But since we had to wake up in 5 and a half hours and our son was nearly asleep already,, we felt like we had no choice but to spend the night in that room so we could just get some sleep. With lack awareness of the no hot water, the broken phone, the popcorn ceilings, the old style, low pressure shower head (last changed in 1992, I would guess), and dated A/C unit, I just think there are better options out there. We are going to try the Courtyard or Tru next year. I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because we were eventually offered and moved to a new room-- and we did arrive late at night and the front desk guy was nice (and the broken water heater was not his fault). But for a major inconvenience like this though, I would expect some sort of small compensation (a voucher, comp one of the 3 nights, some Bonvoy points, a free bottle of water, or something...) I just expect better when I choose to stay at a Marriot hotel. Update: In the new room we moved into, the toilet stopped flushing on our last night. Since we check out tomorrow, we didn't bother trying to do anything about it. Stay here at your own risk... read more

The staff here were helpful. And I hate to do this to a Marriott Bonvoy brand hotel, but damn this hotel was dirty. When you pull up the doors have so many smudges and smears and hand prints ... as well as the divider between you and the staff you're checking in with, you can barely see her. It's disgusting. And I'm thinking, if it's like that on the glass, where you can see it, wonder what it's like where you can't see it??? And honestly when I book a Bonvoy hotel, I trust that, no matter the name, it will be a certain level of clean. This hotel failed on every level. read more

3.5/5 stars. I always like to stay Springhill Suite / Marriott. This location is in Round Rock, TX. Customer Service was great. Due to covid, the were no Buffett style breakfast. There were breakfast sandwich, a bottle of drink, orange, & granola bar. Which I am very grateful to have any breakfast. I miss the hot cakes/waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruits & etc. Where you self serve yourself. There is a small indoor pool that my kids did not want to go in bc it look dirty. The double queen bedroom look like all other room Springhill. However the AC unit looks mess up and some dirty spots. Jack Allen Restaurant is right next. Great southern food. read more

Stayed May 9-10 This disaster of a stay will haunt my dreams and lungs. I had a day of meetings and gatherings and arrived at the hotel late. I did mobile check in and was ready to crawl into my bed. I stopped at the front desk which was the best part of my stay. The front desk attendant, was quick, kind and caring as I looked a hot mess. I arrived to a hot room that smelled like cigarettes and old spice. The showers had no pressure and the coffee maker didn't work. Sleeping in my car was a better option that staying here. read more

We were placed on the ground floor, which I feared would be too noisy , but my husband who works online said it wasn't noisy. NOT good!! 1) Our room had an unpleasant odor to it. 2) The closet folding door would not remain shut. 3) Our room telephone did not work, which required my calling the hotel's front desk with my personal phone until they could get someone to fix it. Still waiting. 4) Our room door would not fully lock! 5) Also, the front desk could only give me one room key as they were short on them. 6) To flush the toilet, we had to hold the handle on the toilet down for a good five seconds so it would fully flush. We felt right at home! 6) This property had a very difficult entry point to find depending on which direction you came from, particularly after dark. We had to "meander" through a side street and a parking lot to get to the front door. Even the person who checked us in used that same word regarding making it to the front door, i.e., "meander". The front desk person we checked in with was nice, and the complimentary breakfast was @ a 7 or 8 on the scale of 1 to 10. Plenty of breakfast cereal options, grapes and bananas, orange and apple juice, muffins, milk, oatmeal, and you can even make your own waffles! Plenty of coffee and tea! The beds were very comfortable. We failed to read the reviews prior to reserving our room, but seeing the name "Marriott and Suites" led me to not even read the reviews due to the Marriott name. We will never stay here again. There are too many better options close by. We just came from a property in Franklin, TN which was twice the size for the same price and it included a full kitchen. We barely had room enough to open our suitcases and get set up for our stay. I would hope the rest of the rooms were in better shape than ours. read more

3.5 Stars. The rooms are definitely updated. The exterior of the building is older. The free breakfast in the morning is better than other free breakfasts. The bed is extremely comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy about this hotel but newer and clean. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. The phone in my room is broken though and the TV is very old and only gets a new channels. No E! , no lifetime. Other than that, recommend this hotel for work or a overnight stay. There are 3 really god restaurants in the parking lot of the hotel. Pint house pizza, Cover 3 and a seafood restaurant. All nice places to check out without having to leave your parking lot! read more

Stayed for a short business trip in Round Rock and booked at the SpringHill Suites; I received an email a few days before letting me know that the pool was under construction, and if I wanted to book elsewhere, they would help me with that...which I appreciated. I figured I didn't need a pool, so I kept my reservation. Check-in was quick and easy; staff was very friendly. Even as I arrived late at night. Unfortunately, my shower drain was an issue; it wasn't draining very fast and caused me a little inconvenience in the shower. I talked to the front desk once I was done getting ready and the issue was resolved that same morning. Breakfast was typical, nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing to complain about. Love that there are bananas and apples available most of the day to snack on. Kudos on that...mmm kudos...I digress. But other than the minor plumbing issue, the SpringHill Suites was an enjoyable stay and I would come back and stay here again if my travel needs required me to be in the area. There are a lot of restaurants close by, even walking distance that are very good. So it's a good location. read more

I lived here for a little over a week (a few weeks ago) when we first moved here to Round Rock. This place just feels brand new. They have a tiny room off to the side that has 2 treadmills and an elliptical. Nxt to that is the swimming pool, this is why you smell chlorine as soon as you walk in, which goes with the water theme stripe downthe middle by the elevators. We stayed in the first room by the pool right by the confrence rooms. I liked it. They have coffee machines in the rooms but they also have coffee in the lobby. No need to make your own. best part of the place was free breakfast every day. they alternate between bacon and sausage every other day, eggs, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit (apple, banana, orange), bagels, english muffin, ah it was greatness. read more

Overall it was a good value for what we got. We only stayed one night so it was enough for what we needed. The hotel looked and smelled clean, our room was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures on Marriott's website, but the room was clean and that's what matters most. There's a small indoor pool and a decent fitness room that overlooks an outdoor patio space. The free breakfast was nothing to write home about but continental breakfasts just aren't what they used to be, but hey it's "free" (i.e. included in the room) food so can't really complain. Hotel was easy to get to from I-35. Would I stay again? Eh. Maybe. Would probably upgrade to a Courtyard or Double Tree next time, especially if I was going to stay in the area multiple nights. read more

I love staying at this hotel when I am in the area. The location is absolutely perfect. The prices for the rooms are fantastic. It's not full service, however, it does not need to be because there plenty of great restaurants to eat at nearby that are within walking distance. They have a mini "store" available that has snacks, juices, wine and beer etc. The staff is amazing here. Both times I have had early flights, they accommodated me with an early check-in. The last time I stayed here, they upgraded me to the whirlpool suit which was awesome. The whirlpool was clean and was nice to relax in after a long day of shopping. Rooms are also extremely spacious and clean. Beds are really comfortable. They also have mini refrigerators in all their rooms. The hotel also has an indoor pool, a jacuzzi and nice outdoor deck in the back. A complimentary continental breakfast is also available every morning which is convenient. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, I highly recommend booking a room here! read more

We stayed here for a week during a soccer tournament so there were lots of families. The location was awesome. There were several restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed Jack Allen's, Cover 3 and Pinthouse Pizza. Most of the staff was great and we were able to check in super early our first day. The breakfast is standard but included so it's hard to complain. Our girls had a great time in the pool and were able to use the workout room for recovery sessions. We had dinner catered twice from Olive Garden in the lobby with no issues. The staff even endured the chicken dance without complaint when a parent who couldn't make it on the trip sent a "chicken-gram." I knocked off a star because there was one male employee who was less than friendly to some of the parents and there was a stiff towel covering the fire alarm in our room. I'm assuming that means someone was smoking and didn't want it to go off. It was very dusty so I'm guessing it was there for some time without housekeeping noticing. read more

I am loyal to the Marriott brand and shop for value in the Austin area (I travel to Austin about once a month for business.) I have stayed here before and it's in an up-and-coming area with nice food options nearby. My last trip was horrible for 2 reasons: 1) the Legionnaire's disease outbreak notification I received and 2) the blood stains on the sofa bed's mattress. I did inform management about the second issue and corporate about both issues. I'll continue my loyalty to Marriott and have removed this property from any/all future considerations. read more

My family and I decided at the last minute (Seriously, 30 mins from deciding to go to Austin we were in the car) and so I popped onto Priceline and just said give me a decent hotel in the area for xx.xx dollars. When Springhill popped up after the search I said.. huh.. maybe that will be okay. Well let me tell ya.. it was really nice! Had a indoor pool (kinda small but okay), a hot tub (REALLY warm and has a sign saying if over 104 degrees do not get in.. but had no thermometer sooooooo good luck to ya!). MIcrowave, coffee maker, fridge.. yada yada. The breakfast was decent although I would suggest maybe getting a second waffle maker as it was the main attraction and at times the line to use it was 6-7 people deep. Very nice for what you pay for! Tip Time - If you come with a petulant child of a teenage persuasion and they take one look at the double (not queen) bed and at their mother and proclaim "I would rather sleep on the floor" just know that the sofa has a hide-away in it that is in the spuds words "Not too bad once I learned not to hit my head on the bar". read more

This hotel employs the most unprofessional group of people. (Jackie Baker, Kevin Rafter, Brandon Cantrell) I've stayed here several times over the years. Recently I was charged for a room without actually staying at the hotel. Several phone calls later, I end up with "we can't find any reservations". Sure didn't have any trouble finding $142 out of my checking account. I was then referred to Jackie and her cohorts. After nearly a month of emailing back and forth, they still hadn't even managed to find the reservation I was charged for, so I let them keep the money. I felt bad for them and was embarrassed on their behalf. Does no one still take pride in their work? When did customer service become the punchline to a joke? Travel sports teams, let me save you the headache, stay away from this hotel. read more

Oof this will be bad but needs to be said. Room 226 had bed bugs in the sofa and all they did was move us to another room and spray the sofa with bug spray and re rent it within 3 hrs my daughter got bit and then her foot got stuck between the elevator and the hotel itself because the elevator was uneven. She is ok but scary. The rooms are big and accommodating but the staff isn't helpful beyond one lady that works overnight from Louisiana. She is super sweet and very helpful. The bacon for morning breakfast don't trust it gave my whole family food poisoning and nothing was done to accommodate that. We still haven't received the deposit back either and they comped us a day but still charged my husband for the night. The maids are wonderful though I will say that. The room they transferred us too the toilet was broken and didn't flush even if you went pee in it and the fridges are small and don't cool anything down properly. I don't recommend this place due to the bed bug issues and id say go somewhere else because the price isn't worth it either and there is nothing but a cvs to shop at unless you want to drive ten minutes further to H‑E‑B. read more

Great experience. My first time at a SpringHill Suites, but it's by Marriott so a pretty safe bet. We went to a music festival nearby, so we arrived around 5:30. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:00 am, but the night clerk noticed how exhausted we were and helped us get some breakfast a bit early. Very helpful. The room and hotel decor was very hip and modern, and our room was very clean. Definitely would stay here again. EDIT: I was a genius and left my glasses in the room, so I had to drive back to Round Rock a few days later to go get them. The desk clerk put them in an envelope with my name, and even checked my ID before I could have them back. Still impressed. read more

I stayed here for 3 nights while studying for a promotional exam at work. I needed a quiet sequestration to focus on my studying, without my wife and kids distracting me. I chose this place based on the Yelp reviews. I found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. I was able to get a great price on a room, and the manager gave me a room at the end of the hall on the top floor, saying this would be the quietest. She was right. I was able to fully concentrate on my work for three full nights with no distractions, such as noisy kids running around etc... The room was much nicer than I expected, and was definitely conducive to work/studying. I liked having my own microwave and mini-fridge. I also made use of the indoor jacuzzi a couple times during my stay, which helped me relax and not stress out too much over the test. I was amazed that the staff was able to sneak in and clean my room, even though I was in there most of the day. I left the do not disturb card in place while I was studying, and only took it out when grabbing food etc. Somehow they managed to get in and out during these brief periods without being detected. It was almost like magic... perhaps they have a cleaning elf or fairy on staff. The only gripes I have are the beds and the breakfast. The beds were much firmer than I like, and left me with a sore back. I know some people like a particularly firm mattress, but I am not one of them due to my lower back issues. I found the breakfast selection to be lacking. The croissants were not real croissants, just crescent shaped dry buns. The bacon was bland, and the sausage was slimy. The eggs were ok I guess. Some biscuits or maybe a waffle press (perhaps one shaped like the state of Texas, which seems to be the standard at hotels in this great state) would have brought the breakfast selection up to snub. read more

On business to Round Rock one has the usual choices of franchise low rise hotels. This well run Marrott Courtyard was excellent. Not because it was physically exceptional: any road warrior will say most of these business hotels are pretty much alike. Adequate rooms and amenities. Pretty generic, pleasant but not memorable. What made this stay different was the staff. Warm and efficient desk, smiling and courteous folks at the bar/ cafe. Delcious fare from a simple menu. Room clean, literally spotless and correctly remade. A big thank you on departure. The in room TV channel selection is a mess but that is a common hotel problem. Thanks, we'll have our travel staff spec this place for our future Round Rock stays. read more

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites over the weekend and had a great experience! Around the hotel there is a variety of food options including Denny's, Mellow Mushroom, a brewery, Cracker-barrel, McDonalds, CVS Pharmacy. All within walking distance of the hotel. I had both a king size room and two doubles. The doubles I believe are two FULL size beds, not two queens. Both rooms were clean, smelled great, and were the perfect size. Both rooms had a couch that you could turn into another bed, fridge, microwave. The A/C & heat also worked great in both my rooms. The staff were always very friendly and seemed to always have a smile. I would definitely stay here again when I am in town, had a great experience. read more

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at this hotel! The young woman at the front desk, Jade, went above and beyond for our group this past weekend. We had a huge event at a nearby venue and several families stayed here. It was my first overnight stay in Austin. The rooms have a nice modern style, and the bed was very comfortable. Another friend made a comment to me about how great her shower (strong water pressure) was, I had noticed that about my shower too and agreed with her. We will definitely be back to this Courtyard Marriott! read more

The staff was very nice and helpful. Would give them a 5 star for sure, but the hotel room was terribly dirty. The carpet was so dirty and stained we didn't want to walk around without shoes on, and the couch was extremely dirty and stained. If that wasn't enough the room seemed to be haunted. We all experienced the door being pulled open from the inside and slamming against the lock. We heard strange noises coming from the kitchenette/door part of the room off and on during our entire stay. Noises that would cause us to jump. Very weird feeling in our room. Sometimes while we were trying to sleep and other times at night while sitting on the beds. The ice maker rooms light was burned out and the floor was so dirty you could see the thick dust and dirt from the hallway. I've never stayed in such a dirty hotel before. In all, the 6th floor was eerie and dirty to say the least. Would not stay in this hotel ever again. read more

Unfortunately, our room looked like they ran out of money half way through remodeling process so they slapped it together, the air conditioner was so loud I couldn't sleep, and we had several large bugs make an appearance in our room.
