Roaches, Roaches, Roaches During my stay, I found roaches in my room 411. I immediately packed my stuff and ran to the lobby. The receptionist asked why I was switching room. He then asked if the room was not clean. I showed him pictures of the roaches crawling on the wall. They switched my room to 328 on the other side of the hotel. The room on third floor was clean I had no problems with.

The staff here were helpful. And I hate to do this to a Marriott Bonvoy brand hotel, but damn this hotel was dirty. When you pull up the doors have so many smudges and smears and hand prints ... as well as the divider between you and the staff you're checking in with, you can barely see her. It's disgusting. And I'm thinking, if it's like that on the glass, where you can see it, wonder what it's like where you can't see it??? And honestly when I book a Bonvoy hotel, I trust that, no matter the name, it will be a certain level of clean. This hotel failed on every level.

3.5/5 stars. I always like to stay Springhill Suite / Marriott. This location is in Round Rock, TX. Customer Service was great. Due to covid, the were no Buffett style breakfast. There were breakfast sandwich, a bottle of drink, orange, & granola bar. Which I am very grateful to have any breakfast. I miss the hot cakes/waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruits & etc. Where you self serve yourself. There is a small indoor pool that my kids did not want to go in bc it look dirty. The double queen bedroom look like all other room Springhill. However the AC unit looks mess up and some dirty spots. Jack Allen Restaurant is right next. Great southern food.

Stayed for a weekend, government rates that were reasonable. Standard Springhill Suites with amenities (wifi, mini-refrigerator, microwave, pool, fitness center, hot breakfast), complimentary parking. Got a room with a jacuzzi tub, that was new and entertaining! Good base to explore Round Rock and Austin. Would repeat and recommend!

Very comfy bed, great pillows, a little smaller than I imagined and the hallway smelled a little stale and it was hot every time. The cleaning lady was very nice and the front desk personnel as well. Parking sucked though and the parking lot is not lit up well enough.

Renovations at SpringHill suites Round Rock Texas. Nice!

I like their new renovations. Mary Flores is great to speak to. She makes the hotel experience a good one. Keep up the great work Mary.

The food was genuinely excellent, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The bed was also a standout -- more comfortable than what I've experienced at most four-star hotels. I also loved the in-room Nespresso machine, which was a great touch. The only drawbacks are the location and setting. It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing, stylish getaway with great food and very comfortable rooms.

This charming, quaint boutique hotel is located in a residential neighborhood in Round Rock, TX. The Ruby Hotel & Bar is situated along Brushy Creek in historic downtown Round Rock. The hotel has 39 uniquely designed rooms and suites, in the suburbs of Austin, TX. The hotel blends mid-century modern design with natural surroundings, creating a chic vibe. The property is distinctly divided into to major buildings...the hotel and the bar. There is a random small building up front also...not sure what that buildings for. There is also outdoor seating, which would be pleasant in the summer. Last night we had freezing temperatures, so sub-optimal for seating outside. When we entered the bar, we felt transported to another place in time. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!

The bed was slightly uncomfortable because I could feel the springs but I was still able to sleep fine. We used the pool twice and it wasn't crowded at all. It had a few lounge chairs and several regular chairs. The staff made sure to keep the towels stocked when they knew we were headed to the pool. There was also a gym but we didn't check it out. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety including a fountain drink machine. I liked making the Texas shaped waffles. My only rec would be more fruit options. Check out was simple by putting the key card at the front desk. I would definitely consider coming back for another stay.

First day had uncooked oatmeal, some scrambled egg and some hashbrowns mixed w sausage pieces and veg. A little cut fruit, and no whole fruit. Only good was the coffee. Embassy is known for their happy hour and made to order breakfasts. We received two complimentary drink tickets per person. Drinks were strong, and the snacks consisted of goldfish, pretzels, carrot sticks with ranch, chips, and fresh popped popcorn. When I called her, she was not apologetic, was condescending, and not helpful at all. She quickly said she can offer a refund or we stay in the room. She could care less about the inconvenience... she didn't bother to offer to perhaps send housekeeping to maybe clean the room again since they can't offer a clean room for us... I had to call corporate who was much helpful, but in the end, we decided to book with Hyatt - and they were actually cheaper. Then, when I went downstairs to tell them we'll take the refund, I told her (and maybe the manager that was standing next to her) that I left the dog hairs I found on the night stand and that the chair they have was sticky and filthy. They just looked at me and was like "OK". Oh wow - my husband and I were laughing as we drove off... what a joke. We feel bad for the owner of this hotel. The hotel only cleans every other day to cut costs, so you must request a cleaning if you want more often than that. That is exactly what we did. Unfortunately, this is what we saw when we got back to the hotel, see pic below, when we requested a cleaning. The excuse from the receptionist was the hotel was full so they did not have enough housekeepers to clean our room. Then the manager called the next day after we had to send two texts about what happened. He said it happened because the housekeeper saw a do not disturb sign on the door. Either way it is unacceptable, and the fact that they have conflicting stories about the incident is not good. Certainly, if the housekeeper should have come back to clean the room, knowing we specifically requested a cleaning. Other than that the breakfast was lousy--even by complimentary breakfast standards. The omelette tasted rubbery, the oatmeal was soggy and there were very few selctions. It was so bad that very few people were seen at breakfast the whole stay. Finally, the pool was unusable the whole time we were there. Apparently the pool heater broke which would have cost $5000 to fix, so despite the weather being nice, the pool was closed because a multimillion dollar company did not want to spend five thousand to fix a heater and settle the cost with the warranty company later. Despite the problems we had, the manager who checked us out, did not offer us a penny off the bill, very poor service and we would not recommend anyone to stay here.

SHE THEN THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME FOR MAKING A CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLAINT. Mind you, I did literally nothing but make a normal CUSTOMER SERVICE complaint. I am a licensed attorney and a professional and I never even raised my voice. Who the heck calls the POLICE on a guest for making a customer service complaint? I wasn't even onsite anymore at the time. I was talking to Sonya on the phone after SHE CALLED ME. Once she made the threat, I then called the Round Rock PD myself to find out if she actually did file a complaint on me. I am waiting to hear back. Below, I've detailed more information about what happened. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I travel WEEKLY for business and I have NEVER been treated as horribly as I was treated by SONYA and because of her, I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property ever again. This hotel does not honor its service guarantee. When I checked in, I had already registered and PREPAID on my American Express card. Despite that, I was still made to fill out an archaic PAPER registration form because they said the "owner" thinks people will lie and say they never stayed at the hotel. Then, the elevator was FILTHY. The major issue, though, is the service. I was NEVER informed that they do housekeeping every other day. I also requested IN WRITING that I receive extra towels. Despite my request, when I returned to my room after a long work day, my room had NOT been cleaned and I had NOT received towel service. I had to clean my own room, handle my own dirty towels and trash, and was offered a measly 1500 points, then 2000 which I expressed was NOT SATISFACTORY. I was not offered a CLEAN ROOM. I was NOT OFFERED A REFUND FOR THE NIGHT'S STAY AS LISTED ON THE GUARANTEE, AND I was not offered POINTS to cover a night. Instead, I was treated like CRAP. Sonya, the "manager," brushed me off in my face, then faked like she was going to "look into the matter," and called me about an hour later after I had checked out, and said they weren't going to do anything to assist. When I asked had she talked to the person who checked me in, she then HUNG UP IN MY FACE. After Sonya hung up on me, I called the hotel back and asked for another manager or the owner's contact information. Alyssa, the front desk agent, said that I was "creating a problem" and to "please stop calling." Mind you, this was my FIRST AND ONLY call besides when Sonya called me then hung up in my face. I asked how I was creating a problem by asking for service as a hotel guest? Alyssa then said the only person I could talk to was Sonya. I said, great. Please transfer me to Sonya again. I was transferred to Sonya who THREATENED ME and said said she was going to report me to ROUND ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR HARASSMENT. This is insane. I'm a licensed attorney and I did nothing illegal by asking for customer service at a HOTEL. Mind you, I am a professional woman and I was kind and did not raise my voice or treat them poorly at all. But, they were not only rude, they also threatened me with the POLICE. If you are BLACK OR A PERSON OF COLOR, do NOT stay at this hotel or at any HILTON chain. Even if you are not black, I suggest you look elsewhere. I plan to look into filing an action for discrimination. I will also be contacting Hilton's corporate office. They do not honor their guarantees or assist black customers. In addition to contacting corporate, I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas for them not honoring the advertised guarantee and then threatening me with the police. This was the WORST hotel experience I've had in my life. Stay FAR AWAY FROM Hilton and if you must stay at a Hilton chain, I suggest you choose any other location except for this one!!!!!

There were very limited options, the toaster machine wasn't working, and the pancake machine seemed to be having issues as well.
