Because I still can't believe they just put the towels on top of the toilet.

We have stayed at Comfort Suites often and with the high ratings of this property, I had similar expectations. The room itself was adequate, not as nice or updated as other Comfort Suites, but adequate. The sofa bed was worn, especially underneath. I wouldn't trust an adult weight on it, but it's okay for our 8 year old. We arrived late at night and went straight to bed. Fridge and microwave in the room- bonus points! Microwave is insanely low power- minus a few bonus points (took about 10 min to pop a bag of popcorn). In the morning, I yelled at my son for "missing" in the bathroom- turns out the toilet just hadn't been cleaned. That's kinda gross. Got in the shower and there was a long hair on the curtain. Also, kinda gross. Breakfast was pretty good- bonus points! We had a really long day. Came back at 10 at night- and our room hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk to inquire, and the response was that they run out of towels, but later delivered towels to our room. That's true. They put the towels on the toilet. Not even on the rack. And the toilet still hasn't been cleaned. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated. And disappointed- because I know this isn't the reputation Comfort Suites has. The lack of response at the front desk, including my having to request to speak to a manager (after explaining what happened and being offered toiletries) and suggesting that perhaps they should take my cell phone number- just adds to the frustration. Very disappointing.

Needing a quick mid-week getaway, my beau reserved us a room here. Neither of us had stayed here before, but it was in the right price range so we went for it. We left after work so by the time we got to Prescott Valley from Mesa it was past sunset. When we pulled up to the hotel is was brightly lit in a beautiful color changing scheme, making it very welcoming. The lobby was super clean and the desk staff were prompt and got us checked in quickly. Even though it was later in the day, there were still cookies available (have to love free snacks upon arrival). We were given a room on the third floor, overlooking the valley - a very nice view. The room was modern and very clean. It came with a mini fridge and microwave, which is a great feature if you are staying more than one night. There is a shoppette in the lobby that we did not use, but it looked well stocked with late night treats and forgotten sundries (those that didn't come with the room). Speaking of! On the bathroom sink they had pre-moistened makeup remover wipes. I have stayed in some very nice Hilton's that don't even come with that. The location is very nice as well. We were a quick drive to a busy plaza that had a Harkins, shopping, and restaurants. The best part about the stay was the breakfast (well, the company too but he came with me). The breakfast was set up from 6-10 and both of us were expecting your basic continental breakfast that you get at 90% of the hotels out there. We were both impressed. They had waffle irons (with plain and blueberry mixes), bagels, danishes in five flavors, omelets, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, sausage (no bacon though...), and oatmeal. Plus two types of juice, milk, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. I've had to pay for buffet breakfasts like this one in the past. It was a sweet setup. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Prescott Valley. It was great for a quick overnight, but would be ideal for a weekend or extended stay.

Pee? Squirt? I dont know but the house "cleaning" lady touched it when I told her about it

My husband reviewed it already with all the details. But had to add one because it's the dirtiest hotel I've ever experienced. See the photos and review by mitchymitchmitch82 for details.

My boys received bubbles and some coloring books, that was sweet. Our room was spacious with a full kitchen. It's always nice to have extra room with the kids. We were able to crack the windows to get a nice cool breeze into the room, I really enjoyed that. The pool area had two small hot tubs and a shallow pool for little kids. Next to the pool is a sitting area where you can relax or have a nice lunch or dinner outside. If you're looking to eat out, there were many restaurants nearby. We ended up going across the street to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a nice variety. The kids were able to fill up on waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal and fruit. They also offered biscuits and gravy, bagels, toast, and pastries We had a great experience, I would book at this hotel again.

This dishwasher was popped out of the kitchen cabinet a bit, but they came to fix it. It wasn't exactly "high end", but not bad for the price at all. Check out the panoramic picture I took showing off most of the area. We picked this place because they had complimentary EV chargers, which is really nice in Prescott since there are no Tesla Charging Stations. The only issue is regular gas cars parking in the spots blocking the stations. Since they allow it, you might end up stranded in your car and having to uber. Removing one star for this although I was always able to find an empty stall. I remember there was a Dodge Charger that ICEed one of the spots intentionally our entire stay. I know the democrats are mad at Elon and Trump, but that is no reason to block a charging spot. Could be that they just hate EV's too but either way, no reason to make it hard for others. Free breakfast was not great, except for chorizo day. I tried to eat a bagel one day and it tasted like plastic. Despite these complaints it was a great place to stay for the money compared to other options so I will still give it 4 stars.

Thank you for your response, Julie…read more Unfortunately, your reply does not accurately reflect what happened during our stay, and that is one of the reasons we will not be returning. I fully understand that hotels need to verify a guest's driver's license and credit card. I showed both my driver's license and my credit card without hesitation. My concern was never about your policy. The issue was that your employee insisted on taking physical possession of my credit card. When I explained that I was not comfortable handing my card over, he demanded it again. That interaction made me feel uncomfortable and was completely unnecessary. You also stated that I had reserved a standard ADA-accessible king room. That was not my understanding of the reservation we made, and the room we received was not what we expected. Combined with the unpleasant odor in the room, it was a disappointing experience. What disappointed me even more was reading a response that dismissed my concerns rather than acknowledging how your staff handled the situation. Instead of recognizing that a guest can feel uncomfortable even while following your verification procedures, your response simply repeated the policy. We truly enjoyed visiting Prescott and Jerome, and our trip was wonderful. However, trust is important when choosing a hotel. Based on both our stay and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we have decided we will not stay here again. We have also shared our experience with friends and family here in Arizona who frequently travel to Prescott so they can make their own informed decisions. I sincerely hope management uses this feedback as an opportunity to improve the guest experience for future visitors.

Here are some of the things that impressed me: - Love the free chocolate chip that actually tasted pretty good. - The concierge let us choose which floor we could stay on which is very nice. I like to stay on the higher floors as it occasionally means that less people stay in these rooms and thus they can be newer. - The rooms were nice and modern. Everything was very comfortable and the shower pressure was exactly right. It gave me Springhill Sites vibes which I appreciated. - The concierge really knew their stuff. We asked them a question and they answered it with ease. Overall, great stay and will definitely be coming back to more Holiday Inn Expresses.

We requested a non-smoking room with a king size bed. As soon as we entered the hallway heading to our room, while all the doors had the no smoking sign on them, it reeked of old stale cigarette smoke. Perhaps at some point smoking was allowed in these rooms and it has seeped so deep into the walls and the carpet that the smell is a permanent fixture, as our room also had a faint cigarette smell. This might not bother some people, but I'm extremely sensitive to cigarettes smoke, even the smell. Our room had some updates, such as some furniture and the floor, but it was not very clean. The floor was gray linoleum that looked/felt like it hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks. The white towels were thin and crispy, not appealing at all. The updates that had been done looked cheap, quick, and messy. The mattress was dreadful. It was a lumpy spring mattress set on a squeaky metal frame with no boxspring. Needless to say it was not a good night sleep. The white sheets and pillowcases were stained, the tub was yellow, and the separate components of the currents were outdated and didn't match. We didn't use the microwave or the mini fridge, but both looked old and outdated. The cost of our room was about $130, a little more after taxes and what not. I feel like it was over priced, and we will not be staying there again.

We've been coming to the Prescott Resort and Bucky's Casino for about 16 years, on and off. Every…read morevisit we see improvements and renovations. Firstly, let's set the expectations. Its Prescott, its not Scottsdale, LA, NYNY.... the costs are not close and the term 'resort' needs to be loosely connected here. Cost of staying is pretty economical compared to most chain or quaint hotels in the area. Does the facility have a large set of conference rooms and adequate space for functions, conferences and weddings? Yes. However, it really seems that the hotel conference center lacks in providing amenities for 100+ people. Main restaurant only opens a few nights, weekends mostly and closes at 9. Eagles Nest bar is open all days from afternoon until 9pm earlier for bar snacks. So if you're staying after a conference or daytime event, food options are limited inside. Theres one set of restrooms which only have a capacity of 4 or 5 for the entire conference center, Restaurant, eagles bar and any non staying visitors. So when they are closed for cleaning right at the opening of a conference at 8am... thats an issue... as well as being completely crowded with long lines at conference breaks. The only other restrooms is a single multi use restroom inside the restricted access pool/gym area or the long walk to the casino end. (Which share the same cleaning schedules as the conference restrooms (during our recent stay anyway) Our original room this time around was a 'mountain view room' with mountains of AC units as our view. But that didnt really bother us, until 730am above us... drilling and hammering started from the construction. The staff were wonderful, and quickly moved us to the other side of the floor away from the construction. On the 2nd day of our conference, all our keys stopped working more than 0 or 1 time... this was problematic, especially when the only conference restrooms were closed so long in the morning for cleaning. The key issue continues into the night and next day.. but staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, if not very embarrassed. The hotel has a massive back patio area complete with tables, chairs and a nice firepit, overlooking Prescott. Its a nice place to take your drinks out to from the Eagles Nest. As far as the word Resort, they do have a hair, nail, massage spa on-site. But pool is basic and indoors. But its Prescott! Free shuttle bus to Yavapi Casino down the hill is a good perk, walking down is not that far of a walk either. From that casino, you can access the gas station next door for late night snacks or a cheaper alcohol run. Also less than a mile to Target, Bevmo and great Pho and Sushi restaurants Casino, so from last June they've made some great investments into repainting and cleaning so theres no more cigarette smell now. And I'd have to say 90% of the machines are modern now. The 2 bars are great, but I'd definitely say don't plan on eating in the Grey Room, unless its fries etc. Firstly, after waiting as prompted by the sign for someone to seat us.... after 15 minutes, no one came to greet us. However, Anna at the large bar next to the Grey Room was awesome and friendly to help us with tables and ordering. Food was very disappointing for our conference group. The special of the week was BBQ pork ribs, which seemed to be deep fried into crispy jerky. Ahi Tuna was very nice. But the others in our group had sandwiches and left most. Very greasy.

Our first room which was advertised as a mountain view room was located on the 2nd floor directly…read moreover the conference center building with air conditioning units. We decided to live with it since we had privacy and quiet being at the end of the hall. Then the following morning that all changed. Shortly after 8am remodeling construction on the 4th floor, 2 floors above, could be heard from our room. Drilling and hammering non-stop. After bringing it to the attention to the front desk luckily they agreed to move up to the opposite end of the same floor. Now for the room itself. The room is very dated with very old carpeting and furniture. For me the bed was comfortable with good linens. The TV was surprisingly small at about 32". Gratefully we had a working minifrig. Neither the walls along the bed or nor the side table next to the bed had any exposed electrical outlets. The room would have been OK but we had to stay for 3 nights for a conference and that was too long given the condition of the room. I felt like I was staying in a motel 6 level room. I would have given this resort 1 star but instead gave it 2 stars because staff did their best to accommodate guests to the best of their ability.
