Holy. Fucking. Shit. This is the best place I have EVER stayed in. Upon arrival, we had an issue with our booking app malfunctioning, but the friendly & patient front desk employees quickly & diligently fixed it. In the meantime, I looked around the lobby. There was a PIANO, and the whole place was struck with elegancy. There were VERY DELICIOUS homemade cookies out for the taking, as well as PERFECT coffee served 24/7! I was in awe the moment I entered the place. When I went up the grand staircase to my room, I was even more surprised! Elegant furniture lining the hallways, beautiful pictures on the wall and FANTASTIC carpet & wallpaper. The room itself was OUTSTANDING, with a BALCONY VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS!!! I sat out there for a good chunk of time, and truly took it all in. The beds, shower & amenities were SUPER, and I felt like a VIP guest despite having booked a standard room. Breakfast was amazing & the staff were the friendliest I have ever seen. We paid $115, for an experience worth QUADRUPLE the price. This hotel has it all! Loved the stay. Pool, hot tub, gym and breakfast. I came for a relaxation weekend and found it. They have a small bar in the lobby, piano music on Sunday morning, lots of seating and a fireplace. Room was clean, had a small balcony and a spacious bathroom. I had the superior king room with a jetted tub and a walk-in shower! Not all rooms have microwaves, so ask at the desk. The only problem was that I thought I had booked on line with the hotel, but booking.com charged me. When I got to the hotel, booking.com had not pushed my confirmation through. Spent 3 nights at this hidden gem. Everyone was amazing! Bob did an amazing job checking us in and checking us out. If you are looking for that small town hotel from a hallmark movie look no further! Teresa who prepares the breakfast is so kind. It's a short drive from Whiskey Row and up the street from Costco! Fill up before you head back home. Only thing that was off was the shower would fill up and wouldn't drain right away. I didn't bring it up during my stay because it wasn't that big of deal for us. Over the years my husband and I have visited the Prescott area and have stayed at several hotels but our favorite is the Forest Villas Hotel. In the past we wanted to be walking distance to Whiskey Row and the courthouse square so we stayed at Hotel St Michael, Hassayampa Inn and Springhill Suites Marriott. Forest Villas is further away but a definite place to relax and unwind. They have a nice courtyard pool (for warm summer days), complimentary breakfast until 10 am and complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and citrus infused water in the evenings as well as fresh baked cookies (if you can grab one before they're gone)! The staff are all very friendly and the hotel is very welcoming to pet dogs. They even hand you doggie treats for your furry friend when you check in. This hotel is our home away from home. They have complimentary board games to play in the lobby next to a nice fire in the fireplace. Remember the band from the 80's Styx? Fun fact is that they stayed at this hotel last year when they played a show in town and they played on the beautiful piano in the lobby. Guests enjoyed a special treat listening to them. This was an amazing hotel. When making thr reservation, I told them it was my birthday trip. When we checked in, they told me happy birthday and there was a card signed by all the workers! Everyone there is so incredibly nice! After 2pm, they have fresh baked, soft and chewy cookies Im the lobby. We had an amazing view of the mountains off our balcony. Close enough to town to enjoy. There was a heated pool and a nice hot tub with fluffy towels poolside. The hot breakfast has something for everyone! Bacon and sausage, eggs and waffles, pastries and cereal and fruit and hard boiled eggs. We didn't partake but they have a nice lobby where the receptionist can serve beer and wines. The nicest and coziest hotel in Prescott. I've stayed in many chain hotels in the area and this is my favorite hotel because it is classy and inviting (which chains lack). Beautiful lobby with fireplace and residential furniture...grand sweeping carpeted staircase to second floor (yes, there is an elevator too). Everything is carpeted, so it is quiet. Coffee and tea all the time...very nice breakfast included. Because it is on a hill, the views are lovely, especially the sunrise! For the money, you can't beat this hotel. We booked this hotel for my son's wedding reception and we also stayed at the hotel. While the property itself was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the behavior of the customer service manager, Sue. While my daughter was at the counter trying to check in, Sue was speaking terribly about me to another employee, and my daughter overheard everything. It was so unprofessional and unpleasant that she ended up in tears. No guest should ever be treated that way, especially during such a special occasion and by someone in a management position. It's truly a shame because the hotel itself was great and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Bob, in particular, was absolutely incredible, so kind and helpful. I'm very thankful for his excellent service and professionalism. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue, as the rest of the team deserves better representation. read more

We booked a deluxe king room and upon checking in realized that the toilet was clogged. Both Amy and Sue stepped up to make sure everything was right. Rather than just fixing the toilet, they upgraded us to a much nicer room. The entire staff was wonderful and the hotel and accommodations were everything that we expected. The place has a very homey feel that you don't get from the big corporate hotels. We will absolutely be back in the near future. read more

My husband and I booked a night with our family and were so happy with our stay. It's a little older, but clean and the staff is so nice! Bob at the front desk was chatty and wanted to give us any info to help make our first trip to Prescott wonderful. Only 10 min to downtown and many restaurant options! We were bummed the hot tub wasn't open but they did get snow the weekend before we came so it was understandable. The breakfast was delicious and had many options, the whole family was full and happy. I enjoyed getting up early, grabbing a cup of coffee and watching the birds at the bird feeder near the lobby windows. We would stay here again and recommend it! Wonderful start with free breakfast I savored lovely coffee morning with view. We purchased the suite with the Jacuzzi fireplace and romance package. It was worth it. Also, nice small balcony with fresh air snow on the mountain lovely places to shop explore hike nearby. All hotel employees were pleasant we saw first hand they all work hard. No AC in my room and on the hottest day of the year. Maintenance worker came in and said yup, it's not working. Nothing I can do about it tonight. I check in with the front counter and they tell me there is nothing they can do and they are fully booked. They told me at least I'm upstairs and can open the window. Go back to the room, upset yet understanding, and the TV remote didn't work. Wouldn't change the channel at all. Only able to control power and volume. By this point it was after 9 pm and I needed to be up at 4:30 am. I figured the front desk wasn't worth my time by this point. I was stuck with falling asleep to Netflix on my phone. Not the dirtiest or grossest, also not the cleanest, place I've stayed, but certainly at the top of the list in most disappointing places I've ever stayed. I was here for business, so luckily not out of my own pocket, but the funny thing is, I'm fairly local to the Prescott area and send a lot of hotels in the area regular consistent business. My wife and I just had 50 people in town for a weekend, two weeks prior all in hotels and one Airbnb for 3 to 4 days. I will not be recommending this one for anyone I like. read more

We booked our Labor Day weekend room online as we were approaching Prescott and found an excellent deal for the night. Seriously, the price beat any other area hotel. Check in was pleasant as the older man checking us in was very thorough and helpful for places to go, things to do in the area. We gave us a map and circles several things - recommended a BBQ dinner that he thought was really good - we were NOT disappointed and happy we recommended it. The hotel lobby is visually stunning and our room quite comfortable. Nice that all rooms have a balcony/sitting area. Breakfast buffet was really good with eggs and eggs w/cheese, sausage, waffles, bacon, potatoes and a whole host of other breakfast items. They also make complimentary chocolate chip cookies for guests to enjoy. We didn't partake in the wine/beer bar but did use the hot tub which was perfect after a day of hiking/fishing. The hotel is very clean - we had no issues whatsoever and would stay again if in the area. read more

Ok let's start with the good. The staff was super nice. The location is great. As soon as you walk in you get a smell of cigarettes. The elevator the hallways. The room was not to bad smelling. Next morning my girlfriend got dressed to go out. She had her clothes hanging in the closet all night. As I was looking at what she was wearing a cockroach ran off her clothes. Went down to ask if I can get my money back for the second night. I was told had to get a hold of Expedia. The breakfast buffet was good. During the day it rained pretty hard. The patio was about a half inch full of water. Called down to have it fixed. They fixed it. When we go back to the hotel later in the evening the hallway ceiling was leaking into a trash can. The chairs in the room had stains on them My last complaint is the road down below gets busy at night and loud. read more

We stayed at the Forest Villas Hotel for our grandsons wedding. For some reason, I booked a King bed when I really wanted a Double Queen. Immediately, the Asst Manager, Sue made it right for us. No matter what I needed, Sue was there to remedy it for me. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating with us for the wedding. We had to switch the reception from outside to inside the hotel in the lobby. It took some time to do that because other hotel guests were still having breakfast. But......Sue, Jeremy and their staff got it done. It was no easy task to remove all of the furniture from the lobby and bring in tables to set it up for the reception. Special thanks to Barbara in housekeeping.....she brought us whatever we asked for. Also totally enjoyed talking with Bob in hospitality...another asset to this hotel. We have stayed here before and remembered it being a lot cleaner. The hotel does provide some pretty decent breakfast buffet included in them price of the hotel. We requested a room with a courtyard view, and got a room with the balcony. Not a big deal, but the room was really outdated and quite frankly unkept. These were a few of the pictures I took while we were there, but we were a little disappointed in our visit this time. One thing to mention in this room, it was on the first floor and a bit noisy. The door also didn't shut all the way when you walked out of the room, so you had to be sure to pull it shut so it wouldn't latch locked. This was our second visit to the hotel, and I remember it being so much better the first time around. A bonus is the breakfast, and the game nook in the dining area where kids can play games. They also have two electrical chargers in the garage, one for Tesla and one regular EV charger, complimentary. Any of the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly. read more

I was fraudulently charged for "damages" on my credit card. I left the room in exactly the same condition as when I checked in. I would be very wary of giving them your card. They were pretty slow on business and probably trying to make up the difference for their slow business. They first put me in a room with a shower only when the reservation I paid said there was a bath. Then they switched me to a room with a bath (at my request) for an extra charge. The jacuzzi never worked. But the fraudulent charge was the real problem. Beware!!! read more

Pamela the "manager" did manage to debit a charge on my card during my stay for over $200... No warning, explanation, etc (nothing of the sort) was given to me before hand nor after the charge was made. Jane there was no smoking inside of the room. Period. End of story. And I was personally contacted prior to charging my card? Or did staff contact who I'm sharing the room with? Who I was not with... should not charge MY card without talking to ME. There is a very large difference in raw marijuana and smoked marijuana. And it is legal. Do you typically ask people to leave any and all medications off the premises? Because that's what you would be doing by telling me I can't have my medicine in the hotel room. Also... The room that we were initially in had a cockroach and so many spider webs with spiders in them on the patio I thought it was Halloween. Guess I should pay extra for that? read more

I booked the deluxe king suite for my 40th birthday and absolutely loved my stay! The lobby is beautiful and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. Check in was quick and easy. They offer 24 hour complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby as well as adult beverages that are served until (I believe) 8pm. They also offer boxed breakfast however, I like to sleep in so, I missed out on what I'm sure was a delicious breakfast. There's ample parking as well as a parking garage on site. When I walked into my room, I was greeted with a lovely birthday card signed by the staff. The room was spacious and clean, but a bit dated (think 1990's), had a nice sized fridge, microwave, and television. The deluxe king suite comes with a jetted tub that is not only fabulous, but is also huge! The jets were powerful, the water stayed hot for a long time and...I was able to watch t.v. from the tub...t.v. from the tub! The jetted bathtub isn't the only cool amenity this room offers...there's also a gas fireplace that was delightful and warmed the room both aesthetically and temperature wise. The bed was beyond comfortable and seemed bigger than a king. The view from the balcony was nice but, there's a large road located right down the hill and, you can definitely hear the traffic noise from inside of the room. Update: As you can see by the snarky response, customer service training clearly is lacking. Also, adjacent to our room was a "domestic disturbance" involving the police so we were kept up all night long. They also don't have internet or at least working internet. I complained and then when I went down to the lobby there were three other people complaining about the lack of functioning internet. Down the stairs are abandoned old furniture and trash. The shower pressure in the shower was so low I could barely wash the soap off my body. The toilet had permanent poop stains. The hotel should spend more money on customer service training and repairs than paying for fake reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor. read more

I was in town for a wedding and everyone else stayed at a generic big name hotel, but I wanted something different, a little getaway spot. The Forest Villas Hotel did not disappoint! The comfy seating area around the fireplace was the perfect spot for late evening reading, while enjoying a cup of complimentary hot chocolate. My room was clean and had everything I needed- there was even a cute little balcony. I found the bed to be comfortable and the pillows were fine - but everyone has their own preferences in both matress and pillow. The complimentary hot breakfast was one of the best I've had, and even better - it ran until 10:30am! Great for late risers :) This is not a super new shiny hotel, but it is well kept and clean. To me, the agedness gave it more character and fit the European feel quite well. My daughter was disapointed that she hadn't stayed there as well! I would definitely stay here again. read more

I have waited a couple of months before writing this, to give Forest Villas time to get their story together. Maybe apologize to me. We stayed in a King bed room, that was a special price. The first night we arrived around 9:30pm and went to our room. Room was nice but the heater/air conditioner made a loud noise every time it came on, which was about every 20min. Long story short, we complained and they said no problem, we can change your room. Well, the person that showed us to our new room, agreed with us that our first room had a problem and yes it was noisy. We were charged for an upgrade. 36.00 dollars more. We thought that they were taking good care of us because of a faulty heater/air conditioner. Yes, the second room was fine, but the attempted trickery was not. At no time was there any mention of an additional charge. We found this out when we looked at our credit card charge amount. Forest Villas Hotel looks like it is nice but that is all that it is. Came to Prescott for a small staycation and we have stayed at this location before so we decided to return. Had an awesome large 2 room suite with a great Balcony. First off the host who checked us in was Pamela and she was such a fantastic lady who really seems to enjoy her job. She made us feel so welcome and did everything she could to help us have a great time. We hiked and kayaked Watson and Goldwater lake. This area is fantastic to enjoy some outdoor fun in a cooler climate. Our room came with a spa tub which was great after a day outdoors. Their outdoor pool is also very enjoyable and we did spend some time there. They might get 5 stars if the added a on site cook for breakfast. Pam seems to be the one in charge of that but the breakfast has a lot of pre cooked items and they could just use a cook to make eggs to order and fresh items including eggs. After reading the latest review from Shirley c. I knew exactly who this person was and had to reach out to say something . My sister was in town and staying at the Forest Villas Inn , so I went to meet her there for breakfast as I walk into the lobby there's this lady walking up to every staff member to let them know that she's extremely displeased by the amount of bees at the front entrance , she's literally walking up to any staff member she can to see if one of them will do something about it , whatever so I meet my sister and we go to the breakfast Cafe located inside the lobby we get our food and we sit down to eat , that same lady walks into the cafe and starts cornering the kitchen staff , asking each staff member one by one if the eggs are real and why is the bacon undercooked , one of the staff members informs her that it's against Arizona Health protocol for an establishment like that to carry raw eggs and bacon so they have to serve liquid eggs and bacon from a box, this seems to upset her but then she goes and literally gets two full plates of eggs and brings them into the lobby to eat . For what it's worth the breakfast was pretty good, the potatoes are really good and they had a make your own waffle Bar with chocolate chips and cranberries and all sorts of toppings. So that was nice . We finish up breakfast and go about our days the next day I come into the lobby again to meet for breakfast and that same lady is now standing in the lobby hallway wearing a oversized t-shirt slung off her shoulder, no bra, mind you she's in her early to mid 60s, no shoes, and the dirtiest socks I've ever seen a person wear in my life . She's once again flagging down anyone who will listen to her , total strangers just looking to get to their hotel room , about how she's upset about the bees and that the eggs suck . It was so surreal we both just had to laugh about it. We called her the Bee lady for the remainder of her trip . The jacuzzi was down but it did appeared to be for maintenance, we didn't see any damage any concrete like what she had posted . My sister appeared to enjoy her stay I'll try to get her to write a review about it frankly I would come back just for the free breakfast. read more

Has an old Greek decor which was very dated If you are allergic to bees do not stay there. As you enter the front entrance there are a huge border of bushes with bees which you cannot avoid to enter the office. We got 3 bees on our clothes and were lucky we did not get any. Bee stings. Then we wanted to take an evening dip in the pool but could not because the pool was loaded with bugs The hot tub was in need of repair because if crumbling concrete when we complained about the bug infested pool their very rude staff said "Just scoop the bugs out" Outside by the pool they have outdoor coaches with ripped cushions that were very dirty I The cafe offers a full breakfast which was horrible liquid eggs and almost uncooked bacon. The staff are all so very rude and just do not care about justified concerns oif the guests. One staff member kept saying we apologize three times very sarcastically and then said Have a great day very rudely the lady that runs the cafe named Theresa and her other person named Travis really work hard and keep the cafe very neat an have to work with the products they are given They are the only good employees that deserve a compliment and a raise!!!!!!!! don't be fooled by the pictures on the internet!!! The lobby and court yard is charming however the rooms are ran down and musty. I literally walked in the room for 3 minutes and walk out. I had booked 2 days and even though I checked out with in 15 minutes and did not use anything in the room they charged me for one night stay. I did not have feel comfortable staying there. I am by no means a jet setter but, I do expect the room the have a level of standards. The carpet is older than time the hall floors were dirty. The room was musty and the furniture looked like they bought it at goodwill. They should post the room they tried to put me in instead of the cute exterior. read more
