Next to the pool is a sitting area where you can relax or have a nice lunch or dinner outside. If you're looking to eat out, there were many restaurants nearby. We ended up going across the street to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a nice variety. The kids were able to fill up on waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal and fruit. Continental breakfast the next morning was a little rough, with one family taking all of the eggs and sausage, leaving none for anyone else. Wouldn't blame that on the hotel. Waffle makers worked, the juice machine did not. We grabbed a few things and brought it back to our rooms to avoid the busy kitchen. Check out was easy, I called downstairs and told them we were leaving and that was that. Happy we found this place last minute. I recommend GreenTree!

I fully understand that hotels need to verify a guest's driver's license and credit card. I showed both my driver's license and my credit card without hesitation. My concern was never about your policy. The issue was that your employee insisted on taking physical possession of my credit card. When I explained that I was not comfortable handing my card over, he demanded it again. That interaction made me feel uncomfortable and was completely unnecessary. You also stated that I had reserved a standard ADA-accessible king room. That was not my understanding of the reservation we made, and the room we received was not what we expected. Combined with the unpleasant odor in the room, it was a disappointing experience. What disappointed me even more was reading a response that dismissed my concerns rather than acknowledging how your staff handled the situation. Instead of recognizing that a guest can feel uncomfortable even while following your verification procedures, your response simply repeated the policy. We truly enjoyed visiting Prescott and Jerome, and our trip was wonderful. However, trust is important when choosing a hotel. Based on both our stay and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we have decided we will not stay here again. We have also shared our experience with friends and family here in Arizona who frequently travel to Prescott so they can make their own informed decisions. We requested a non-smoking room with a king size bed. As soon as we entered the hallway heading to our room, while all the doors had the no smoking sign on them, it reeked of old stale cigarette smoke. Perhaps at some point smoking was allowed in these rooms and it has seeped so deep into the walls and the carpet that the smell is a permanent fixture, as our room also had a faint cigarette smell. This might not bother some people, but I'm extremely sensitive to cigarettes smoke, even the smell. Our room had some updates, such as some furniture and the floor, but it was not very clean. The floor was gray linoleum that looked/felt like it hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks. The white towels were thin and crispy, not appealing at all. The updates that had been done looked cheap, quick, and messy. The mattress was dreadful. It was a lumpy spring mattress set on a squeaky metal frame with no boxspring. Needless to say it was not a good night sleep. The white sheets and pillowcases were stained, the tub was yellow, and the separate components of the currents were outdated and didn't match. We didn't use the microwave or the mini fridge, but both looked old and outdated. The cost of our room was about $130, a little more after taxes and what not. I feel like it was over priced, and we will not be staying there again.

On the night we checked in, before getting into bed, my mom found a bedbug on her pillow. This was highly distressing. One of our party members has serious issues with insect bites, so on top of the bedbug concern, we did not want to risk her health and stay in the room. We immediately went to the front desk and provided photographic evidence to staff. The night staff (a shorter older woman and maintenance staff man who I believe wore glasses) informed us that this was in fact a bedbug, and that they would refund the entire stay. Since it was already 11: 00 at night we had to immediately vacate the hotel, and at our own cost, book other accommodations. We did not receive any answers to our calls for two days, until they finally answered and denied having said that this was a bedbug, and outright refused to refund for the night we stayed as promised previously. No help, no remedy, just silence. In addition to the monetary loss, our luggage and clothing had to be taken care of for the duration of our trip which meant additional costs and worries. Very disappointing, not just with the bugs, but how they were dealt with. Stay elsewhere please for your own safety and health.

They came back from the casino around 2:30 AM, clearly drunk, and continued their loud conversation without any regard for anyone around them. To top it off, the staff was consistently rude, aloof, and inattentive. There was no sense of hospitality anywhere in this property. Save yourself the frustration and stay literally anywhere else.
