Customer service from the beginning was amazing. The room was so spacious, nice and super clean. Breakfast was served every morning and it was never a disappointment. We were in town for just one night and booked this due to decent reviews and the fact that it was near to downtown. I was pleased that we could just walk into town without driving. The hotel was obviously very busy so when we showed up at 3pm on a Saturday we were lucky to get a room that was cleaned and ready. Unfortunately (again) there were no upgraded rooms as a Platinum member - starting to wonder why I am so loyal to Marriott! Anyway the woman running the front desk was very professional and friendly. Very good customer service. The room itself was large and very up-to-date. The layout was different than many of the newer Springhill Suites and actually I liked this design better. The bathroom is more functional for two people. Good job on the soft close toilets... A big plus is that they have a laundry but they should get machines that use credit cards. The breakfast was pretty typical. One negative - why are they charging for parking? It is not like this is in some big city. Felt like a cheap money grab. Bottom line - it was a good stay. read more

Try not stealing from your guests. We stayed there a few weeks ago and left behind a personal organic pillow in a mandalorian pillowcase. We even deliberately tipped our housekeeper $20 only to have her steal our pillow. When we got home and realized we had left the pillow behind on the bed in our room we called the hotel and were told they would look into it and get back to us. Not a peep since. I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites on Sheldon St. in Prescott, AZ, and my experience was a tale of two extremes--an incredible check-in followed by a frustrating and disappointing check-out. First, the positive: Checking in was a breeze, and that was entirely thanks to Barbie, who was working that evening. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive--honestly, there was nothing more she could have done to make the experience better. If every employee had the same dedication and professionalism as Barbie, this review would be nothing but glowing praise. Now, the letdown: The morning of checkout was a completely different story. Breakfast is advertised as being available until 9:30 a.m., but when I came down at 9:15 a.m., the only thing left was white bread in Ziploc baggies. When I asked the staff about the rest of the food, I was told, "That's all there is because we're gonna be cleaning up in a few minutes." That's not acceptable--if breakfast is supposed to be available until 9:30, guests shouldn't feel like an inconvenience for expecting food at 9:15, but that's exactly how I felt, like my presence there trying to get some breakfast was putting a wrinkle in the way she had envisioned her day going. It was just an uncomfortable and awkward feeling that I cant imagine any company in the hospitality industry wanting their guests to feel. Then, as I went to grab coffee before they put that away too, the woman at the front desk was on speakerphone, volume maxed out, having a loud conversation with another SpringHill Suites employee from a different location. It was disruptive and unprofessional. Guests who had managed to get food earlier were now forced to eat their breakfast while listening to both sides of a chaotic conversation, with the other woman clearly struggling with her computer. I felt disrespected just standing there, so I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been for families trying to enjoy their morning meal. Final thoughts: If Barbie ever reads this, I want her to know how much I appreciated her kindness and professionalism at check-in--she was the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately, the poor service at checkout overshadowed that experience. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but when a hotel's service swings so drastically from one extreme to another, it's worth addressing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all employees--not just the exceptional ones like Barbie--provide the level of service that guests deserve. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but only if I knew the morning staff had stepped up their game. read more

beautifully kept hotel with big, spacious, spotless rooms. bed was very comfortable, a/c was ice cold, shower pressure was great. the front desk was beyond friendly and accommodating and the free breakfast was also great. conveniently located next to sprouts and walgreens for anything you may need, and right behind the plaza is a beautiful park. it was awesome being downtown and able to walk to dinner. i loved my stay here and will definitely be back. read more

Our room had two TVs, a sofa, bed and two queens, a mini fridge and a microwave. We enjoyed the indoor heated saltwater pool. Conveniently located near downtown Prescott. We also liked that it was right next to a Sprouts grocery store. Affordable price during winter (2/17-18). Free breakfast is subpar. The pictures are complete different from reality. This hotel was in a great location and walking distance to Courthouse Square. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Great place to stay with kids. There is also a Sprouts conveniently located next door for any grocery needs. The gym was small, but looked nice. I was going to workout, but my kids had other plans for me. :) Breakfast was also included and it was good. There was a good variety of items to choose from. It is the second most expensive hotel in downtown Prescott and definitely not worth the money. It's best feature is that it is in a great location. Otherwise not much to say. The decor is bland to be charitable. Mostly brown, mottled green and gray leaving the place feeling cold and unattractive. The included breakfast is not good, mostly prepackaged stuff. Fortunately there are a number of much better options all within easy walking distance. In my opinion they are worth the extra money. At check-in I was told that I had to pay $7.00 a night for parking until I emphasized that I did not have a car. Housekeeping never showed up during my 3 night stay to clean the room provide clean towels, extra toilet paper or amenities. I was told that I had "opted out" at check in. I did not. There are a couple of other small, boutique hotels downtown that are less expensive and have very good reputations. I would suggest trying one of those. read more

Rooms are beautiful and staff has been amazing. We checked in yesterday and they asked if we had a preference on floors. When I said no he said third floor has some good views. Although we are on the third floor we don't have a view but to me it's okay we plan on being out door 90 percent of the time. The WiFi is perfect for my daughter who is doing school online and the room came with a desk that worked out great. We booked the double queen suite and were shocked to find two queen beds, a pull out sofa, two large big screen TVs , and a kitchenette area with coffee maker-mini fridge and sink. For the price the room was amazing and location to whiskey row was walking distance. The remodel is great!! We will be back again Forgot to mention-continental breakfast was good ! Teresa' at checkout was incredible, when we walked in the front door she knew who we were.... my sister booked a night & I booked a night (different reservations), But Teresa had all this information written in the notes so when we got there she had everything all figured out.... she took great care of us..... All the rooms are suites in this hotel, there is not much of a view but it's very comfortable. They just recently remodeled with all new carpet & furniture everything was really nice & Clean! This hotel is downtown so it is just a short walk to Whiskey Row...restaurants....Museums and The Famous Rodeo once a year! Temperature in Prescott was great in the low 80's perfect for exploring the town... I also loved the idea of coin machines placed around town to help the homeless!!!! read more

We picked this hotel based on proximity to the downtown. We came in town for a night if bar hopping and we wanted somewhere we can walk easily. I didn't know I was going to encounter the friendliest front desk staff here. Her name is Theresa. I think she is an assistant manager there. She was so nice me and I saw her being nice to otter guests. I asked her if she is always nice like that. She joked and said yes that's why they call me mother Theresa. I called the front desk a few times to ask something, I addressed her as mother Theresa and I could tell she was smiling as we talked. I felt like she was going above and beyond, it was really nice to see someone like her. Room was very clean and spacious. They have two huge TVs in a room. Not just one, but two large screens. They had Pandora, Netflix, YouTube available, we mostly played music in our room. I love Prescott and can't wait to come back for another staycation. I will be sure to come back to this hotel for our next visit. read more

We stayed here a few weeks ago for a random trip to Prescott to get out of Phoenix. The location was perfect, completely walkable to everything downtown had to offer. The hotel itself was very clean and nice. It obviously had been completely renovated recently and it showed! Our room was very comfortable and perfect for what we needed for a couple nights stay. They offered breakfast and snacks to purchase at the front desk. All staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful! The pool/spa was available by reservation only. We actually loved this idea as we got the entire area to ourselves and they always had availability for the times we wanted. We typically only book a night or two and "wing" it when we vacation to keep it open if we want to try other hotels out and we ended up adding an extra night here and extended our stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again without question. read more

Nice hotel in Prescott, Arizona , where we just completed a 3 night stay. The hotel quite large and according to reception , usually at 90% Occupancy. Our room was comfortable and spacious. There is a daily $5.00 parking fee. Breakfast is above average for a free benefit. Room TV's are large. I saw quite a few people with dogs , so pets must be allowed. There is a great indoor swimming pool and hot tub. There are a wide variety of snacks available for purchase at the Lobby, as well as hot coffee. Upon check in, Jane and Barbie provided excellent customer service. Amy helped me check out today, as was also very friendly and helpful. read more

Wife and I took a trip to Prescott, AZ for our 10 year anniversary. Have to say I really loved the hotel from the outside. We checked in and went to our room. Once in the room, it was very appealing and cute. A little modern touch and great colors. We freshened up before heading out to downtown Prescott. Downfall number one would be the shower pressure in the shower. It was a TINY shower and the shower head was pretty big. The water pressure was terrible and I believe it was just from the shower head not being the right fit. I say they need to get a new, smaller, shower head. Also, we realized after the first and second day waking up and heading out to downtown. The hallway smelled like cat urine or sewer.. it was just a very odd and unwelcoming smell. Kind of what NOT to smell on the way to breakfast in the morning. OTHER than those two small things, the hotel was amazing, cute, convenient, and the bed was conformable. It did rain a lot while we were there so maybe the rain made it a bit damper or bad smelling, but overall.... I'm going to give it 4 stars. Breakfast there was amazing too. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and an excellent downtown location make this my top pick in Prescott. Plenty of restaurants within a short walk. It's right also next door to a Sprouts grocery store too. It's also across the street from Two Mamas Gourmet Pizzeria, which also offers delivery to your room and has also always been a solid choice. My sister and i booked our stay here over thanksgiving for a lil getaway. The staff was very friendly, the front desk lady gave us discount cards to a local bar and was able to recommend some good local food. We did the breakfasts in the lobby, pretty delish with a variety of food options. Our main selling feature to this hotel was the heated indoor pool & hot tub compared to the hassayampa inn which is historical and very close to downtown. I stayed here while in town for a wedding and couldn't be happier with my experience. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. I was traveling with my chihuahua and upon checking in we asked about the pet fee. The woman who checked us in was so sweet and waived the fee as she saw my dog was small. The room was a decent size, not too big but it was so cozy. I loved that there was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a small kitchen sink by the area. There was a desk area as well and a couch that converted to a bed. We asked for a king size bed as it was just 2 of us but the room could have accommodated another person. The room was clean and the bathroom also had full size shampoo, conditioner and body was... loved this! Another plus was that there was free breakfast daily with hot options like scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, chorizo and oatmeal. There's cold options like cereals, yogurt and breakfast pastries. Next time I'm in town I'd stay here again. We were sad we didn't get to try the indoor, heated, mineral pool! Next time :) read more

Conveniently located a few blocks north of Downtown Prescott and the Court House, I enjoyed my week's stay here. The room was comfortably large for me and the staff friendly and welcoming. The front desk personnel greeted me by name each time I passed through the lobby. Parking is plentiful around the the hotel. Even more convenient, if you don't want to walk the short blocks to downtown for dining, across the way is a Panda Express, Chipotle, Brown Bag Burger, Swirl-N-Top Frozen Yogurt, Starbucks, and more. Breakfast and beverages are available weekday mornings in the lounge area next to the front desk. The fitness center is tiny, but I made do. I certainly will consider another stay here on my next visit to the Prescott area. read more

Prescott is my hometown and my mom still lives there, so staying in a hotel in this town is a rare occasion. We are in town for milestone birthday and my daughters traveled with us, so we needed to get a hotel. Our experience started en route. We had reserved two rooms and we called along the way to see if we could get early check-in. Amy, who answered the phone, let us know we'd have one room available for sure, but could not guarantee the second. When we arrived, Amy herself was at the front desk and checked us into one room so we could store our stuff. She asked why we were in town and we let her know we were there for a milestone birthday party. The next day, while we were eating the FREE breakfast, Amy approached us and asked us how the party was. I thought it was great customer service that she remembered us and asked us that question. Other hotel employees should take lessons from her. The hotel, itself, is clean, comfortable and modern, not to mention that it's in the heart of downtown Prescott. Historic Whiskey Row and various restaurants and saloons are within walking distance. They do charge $5 a night for parking, which I don't mind paying, but seems a little unnecessary. All in all, if you're traveling to Prescott and in need of a decent hotel close to downtown, this is your place. read more

I recently visited Prescott. It was a very busy weekend, as there were several events that made for a fun time. Springhill Suites was so convenient that I could walk downtown without worrying about parking. It was also close to many excellent restaurants. Next to the hotel was a Sprouts Grocery and shops. Our room was spotless, and it had a small refrigerator in it. Every morning, there was an excellent complimentary breakfast buffet. It will be a place I will highly recommend to friends and will return to for my next visit. read more

I usually stay at Marriott properties, so my expectations are pretty high. It was my first time in Prescott, so I was excited about a hotel close to the heart of the city as well as to Whiskey Row. They have a larger parking lot (but it's a $5 nightly charge automatically added to your room). They have "breakfast", which in COVID times was cold pancakes in baggies, tons of toast (in baggies), and bagels (in baggies). Lordy baggies must have been on a run at Costco. My room had cereal on the floor, and some kind of rock that I stepped on (I hope it was a rock). The bed was super hard, and really REALLY uncomfortable. The staff, where there were signs everywhere about masks being mandatory, apparently didn't think it was for them and wore their masks like chin straps so only their mouth was covered. As much travel as I do for work, I have to say I was the most disappointed in staff here. I don't get it, either remove the signs if you don't care about masks, or follow your own signs! TVs are almost as big as the room, and the showers are designed pretty cool. I wasn't impressed frankly for the price, and would likely try another option in the future. read more

Location... Location... Location... You do not need to find a hotel downtown or near the square. Very close to all the touristy places downtown. Staff is wonderful and the breakfast was great. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub each morning and a dip in the pool. Being next to the shopping plaza was perfect to pick a quick meal at Sprouts, Chipotle, Subway, Brown Bag Burger, etc. and Walgreens is there too if you need it. Highly recommend! Have read great reviews about this hotel so decided to stay here while visiting the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful with check in and with any questions. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had a room next to the small exercise room but didn't hear much noise. The hotel is within walking distance of the main downtown area which is nice if you want to have a few drinks and then walk back. There are many restaurants and bars in the area along with a Sprouts grocery right next door. They also have a nice breakfast setup every morning. If you need any assistance the front desk was great. It was a busy weekend so we didn't ask to change rooms, just figured housekeeping will take care of it when they come through. Nope. Our rooms were never cleaned during the weekend we stayed. I signed up for Marriott Bonvoy and reserved 2 nights at this hotel. The reservation rate was $220 per night, however the second night I was charged $320? I was told upon checkout that due to the hotel being fully booked my room rate increased? Never in my life have I heard of this?? I would expect a reputable hotel like Marriott would at the very least notify you of the rate increase and give you the option to checkout. I'll never book under Marriott again. read more

Dear Mr. Anthony Capuano, CEO of Marriott International Hotels: I recently stayed at your Springhill Suites hotel, a Marriott owned property in Prescott, Arizona. I encountered several problems during my stay. My main concern has yet to be resolved. As I explained to your employees, I stayed at your hotel only after being assured there would be a working refrigerator in my hotel room in which to store my medicine. It turns out, though, that the refrigerator in my room did not work properly, and it destroyed the food and medicine I had placed in it. I injected the adulterated medicine into my body twice before I realized there was something drastically wrong. Although I suffered harm from being without a week's worth of my medicine, I am lucky I did not die. I spoke with Theresa S., who agreed to reimburse me for the food and medicine, provided I submit documentation as to the cost of the medicine. I complied. And then, instead of honoring our agreement, Ms. S. moved the goal post. In case you don't know, Ms. S. is an assistant manager. After I provided the documentation she requested, she stated she would deny my claim outright, without even informing any superior of hers, unless I provided additional irrelevant information. I then spoke with Brad C., president and CEO of Ponderosa Hotel Management, the company that manages Springhill Suites. Mr. C. also accepted liability for my damages. He, too, said he would reimburse me for the food without my providing a receipt, but, to reimburse me for the cost of the medicine, he requested I send him documentation as to its cost. Upon receiving proof of the cost of my medicine, he refused to reimburse me unless I provided additional irrelevant information. Mr. C. did, however, acknowledge that had he broken an item in my home, he would, of course, reimburse me for the cost of the property he damaged. Next, I contacted Marriott Corporate offices, which routed me to its Office of Consumer Affairs, which then routed my complaint to its insurer. The insurer requested I provide the same irrelevant information that had been requested previously by Mr. C. and Ms. S. When I explained to the insurer why the information it requested was irrelevant (and would be inadmissible in court) it changed its strategy, making up a new defense (which I can disprove), and denied the claim outright. It is astounding to me that after more than a year of lockdowns, after the devastation the hospitality industry incurred, and with people still reticent about staying in hotels because they fear for their safety, I trusted Marriott enough to stay in its hotel, only to end up being harmed by doing so. And now, even after the harm it caused to my health and wellbeing, Marriott is refusing to compensate me for the items it destroyed. The cost of one week's worth of my medicine, while meaningful to me, is a blip on Marriott's radar, and is probably less than its insurance deductible. Marriott had the opportunity to do the right thing, at minimal cost to it, while also preserving our relationship and obviating the need for me to tell others about the dangers I encountered while staying at a Marriott property. And it could have been resolved three days after I informed Ms. S. of the destruction of my medicine. We're not talking about a Frappucino. I require this medicine to stay alive. And Marriott destroyed it. I am posting this information because people need to know. They need to know that Marriott couldn't care less about its "guests," it couldn't care less about its "guests'" property, and it really couldn't care less if its actions cause harm (or worse) to its "guests" who rely on it for their health and safety. I encourage everyone who reads this to take heed and to warn others that if they require medicine that needs to be refrigerated, they should not trust Marriott Hotels. And, if you do trust Marriott and it destroys your medicine, Marriott will treat you as disrespectfully and cavalierly as it did me. I will continue to keep you updated as to the status of this situation. Have a nice day. read more
