I fully understand that hotels need to verify a guest's driver's license and credit card. I showed both my driver's license and my credit card without hesitation. My concern was never about your policy. The issue was that your employee insisted on taking physical possession of my credit card. When I explained that I was not comfortable handing my card over, he demanded it again. That interaction made me feel uncomfortable and was completely unnecessary. You also stated that I had reserved a standard ADA-accessible king room. That was not my understanding of the reservation we made, and the room we received was not what we expected. Combined with the unpleasant odor in the room, it was a disappointing experience. What disappointed me even more was reading a response that dismissed my concerns rather than acknowledging how your staff handled the situation. Instead of recognizing that a guest can feel uncomfortable even while following your verification procedures, your response simply repeated the policy. We truly enjoyed visiting Prescott and Jerome, and our trip was wonderful. However, trust is important when choosing a hotel. Based on both our stay and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we have decided we will not stay here again. I don't know why I hadn't liked Holiday Inn before because this place was fantastic and I would definitely stay in this hotel over and over again. Here are some of the things that impressed me: - Love the free chocolate chip that actually tasted pretty good. - The concierge let us choose which floor we could stay on which is very nice. I like to stay on the higher floors as it occasionally means that less people stay in these rooms and thus they can be newer. - The rooms were nice and modern. Everything was very comfortable and the shower pressure was exactly right. It gave me Springhill Sites vibes which I appreciated. - The concierge really knew their stuff. I stayed here about a week ago and I didn't know what to expect since this was my first visit. I booked my reservation for one night about six week in advance. The room had two queen beds since that was the only option available at the time. It was a pretty good deal for $116. Check in is at 4pm which is on the later side for hotels but it didn't matter to me since I arrived in the evening. The driveways and the parking spaces are wide so there is plenty of room for larger vehicles. The staff are nice and I didn't have any issues checking in or out but they didn't mention the incidental hold for my stay. Every hotel has one and the staff are supposed to inform you about it at check in but this bit of info was overlooked. I had to check my bank account to see that the hold was for $25. It got refunded after I checked out which is what I expected but it would have been nice to be informed about it. The room was nice. The bathroom sink is located outside of the bathroom and this kind of feature is becoming more common among hotels. There's a microwave, coffee machine, and mini fridge but I didn't use the appliances. The air conditioner was on for some reason so I turned it off. The bed was kind of stiff (at least, one of the two beds in the room) but the pillows were comfortable. The shower had some trouble maintaining stable water pressure but it wasn't a big deal. Breakfast is from 6am-10am and has the typical Holiday Inn staples: eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, hardboiled eggs in the little fridge, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, and juice. There's a pancake maker but I didn't see any batter. There's a laundry room and a stocked vending machine on the second floor but you can also buy snacks and drinks from the front desk. There's a small patio behind the hotel that you can access via a door near the ground floor stairwell. There are some tables and chairs and a portable grill out there. Guests are allowed to use the grill when permitted by hotel staff, at least according to the sign posted nearby. This hotel is across the street from a large mall and I thought about walking over there but the mall is situated on top of a hill. There is no easy access to get there on foot. It's possible, but you have to walk the perimeter of the property by following the roads to one of the driveways leading into the parking lots. My only gripe is that there were a lot of noisy guests. I woke up several times in the night because someone was talking loudly in the halls and slamming doors. Overall this was a very nice visit and I'd stay here again if I happen to be in the area. read more

I'm not a rocket surgeon but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. The last two nights as a matter of fact. I was in Prescott for business and called this hotel "home." And in this home, I didn't need to cook or clean. Right on! I didn't exactly get breakfast in bed but breakfast was served just down the hall. It was hot. It was fairly fresh. And it was all included. Bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, cereal, juice. A nice variety. More options than some places I have been to. A very nice selection. My room was good and clean. The thermostat was set at 69 which was perfect. I had a huge king bed to myself. And a movable big screen TV to watch. It was nice and should have been more comfortable. They try with their pillows here but I don't sleep so well without my pillows from home. Unfortunately those don't travel on the plane so well and so I had to make do with what comes standard at Holiday Inn. First nigh I didn't sleep too well but last night was better. The upgraded shower with the sliding doors added a touch of class. Curtains get so nasty and stick to your wet body as you lather up. Not the case here. I don't envy the cleaning crew that has to keep the doors spotless. I didn't notice any spot when I first checked in but there were definite spots a few showers later. Hopefully the next tennet will get the same spot free greeting that I got. My initial check-in went smoothly here. Check out was just as easy if not easier. The staff at the desk and the staff I came across at the breakfast area were all friendly. They all worked to make this a good stay. And, by the way, they put out a plate of cookies in the evening. Keep your lights, Motel 6. Holiday Inn gives me cookies and I will take that any day of the week. read more

Everything I could ever ask for. Let me say, this was by far the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at (as an IHG member). My husband and I were in town from LA m, visiting family. The city is beautiful by the way. Let me get down to business: Hotel: the hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. They have everything that you need (gym, indoor pool, business area, etc.) continental breakfast provided was surprisingly really good. Somebody back there is cooking some real food, not the generic breakfast lay out. Bacon was fresh and crispy. Eggs were fresh. Cereal, biscuits & gravy...Yum...they even bake fresh cookies for everyone and leave them out. Room: the room was clean and comfortable. Everything was new and renovated. No issues whatsoever. Parking: plenty of parking, no issues. Location: perfect location near shopping, grocery stores, and food. Customer Service: everyone was so damn helpful and nice. I felt very welcomed. Plenty of outlets to charge your devices. After a day of hiking and kayaking it was nice to relax at in the indoor pool and hot tub. We had the place to ourselves! Pretty decent continental breakfast: turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, cereal, fruit, yoghurt. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication and we opted to pursue the reservation. The rooms were very clean with no problem checking in. I was happy to have the miscommunication and move forward with the evening and pay the fee. About 10 minutes after I settled the front desk called and explained this was a miscommunication about the policy and they extended to remove the fee as a courtesy. I understand most hotels have pet fees and restrictions which my husband called prior to ensure there shouldn't be an issue. We took a day trip to Prescott and stayed at the Holiday Inn. I loved how close the hotel is to restaurants and bars. There is also a Trader Joe's and some restaurants right across from the hotel, which is very convenient. Our room was very spacious. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, sitting area, and an outdoor seating area. Even though we only stayed for one night, I appreciated having a mini fridge and was able to buy some snacks and drinks and keep them in the fridge. The room and the entire hotel were very clean. I think the best part of this hotel was the customer service. When we checked in, we were greeted and welcomed right away. The front desk clerk also helped with suggestions to restaurants and informed us of the amenities and complimentary breakfast. When we checked out there was a different front desk clerk who was just as pleasant and thanked us for our stay. I will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn next time I'm in Prescott and would recommend this hotel. read more

The manager debited an additional $300 from my credit card two days after I checked out due to what he called an "incident" between my 9 lb therapy dog and an elevator worker, claiming my dog bit him although he admitted there were no clothing tears or bite marks. So, I spent $500.00 for a 36 hr stay in this not-so budget-minded hotel, waiting for a surgery in town. Very unfriendly; rude staff with the exception of the front desk. Never again! read more

My husband and I go out of town frequently, staying at many different hotels from 3 to 5 stars. This hotel had everyone of my wants from hooks in the bedroom (to hang stuff) to full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower (awesome shower). The pool was perfect, not cold. TV actually worked and had cable, HBO, etc. Breakfast was full, included with price. Staff was kind and helpful. They thought of all the little things. This will be our new go to place in Prescott. We stayed only for 1 night on a Saturday night in August. It was a pleasant arrival with the front desk staff person greeting us warmly, b/c I'm a platinum IHG member, haha... But all the same she was kind. We got this little luggage tag that they're making out of used room keys (eco-friendly), then she got our room for us and gave us the room key and other info and we were good to go. The room we got was a nicer remodeled room. She said not all parts of the hotel have been updated yet, so it was nice that we got a much nicer room than could other wise be expected. The king bed was nice and fluffy, there was a chaise lounger that a little kid could possibly sleep on (but it's a bit narrow and the child may fall off), a desk, flat screen TV, microwave, and the bathroom was newly remodeled also. All in all, the room was nicely appointed. The breakfast was quite comprehensive with various hot and continental items to include eggs, milk, juice machine, muffins, make-your-own pancake machine, biscuits, sausage/ham/bacon (on rotation), breads you can toast on your own in the toaster. We were quite full after breakfast. Overall, this is one of the nicer HI Express we've been to and compared to the one we stayed in down in Phoenix, this one was definitely newer, more updated/upgraded and in a better neighborhood, central to everything in Prescott. The pool/spa area was needing some repairs though. Other than that our stay was pleasant and restful. read more

this place was super nice. accommodations were great. indoor pool hot tub patio. we stayed here for my brother's birthday and there was a full house that weekend. but they got us in and made sure we were happy. we had so much fun at the pool with the staff being so friendly. there is a small frig and microwave in the room. the bathroom was great the shampoo and conditioner was so wonderful. smelled amazing. the beds were comfortable for sure. I would absolutely stay here again. it was a little more than we wanted to spend but it was worth it!! there is free breakfast also. big plus! read more

Amazing all around! I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel after a spontaneous overnight stay. Everything from the staff, facility, breakfast, and even the friendly and inviting guests were just unlike any other hotel I have been to! When one enters the lobby you can smell how fresh, modern and clean the place is. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and have a great layout to store, lounge and sleep! The indoor pool was the ultimate cherry on top of a perfect stay! Kiddos and adults alike could be seen having a good time in the pool and jacuzzi it was such a hit with my family. We spent 4 nights at this wonderfully managed hotel! The location is great! Trader Joes for food and snacks, Five Guys, and many other choices across the street within an easy walk. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The woman who served our breakfast brightened our mornings. Inside areas and outside patio provide places to relax socially distanced. Beyond impressed with this beautiful hotel. The checkin was smooth, fast, professional and kind. The room itself was extremely clean and well maintained- up to date furniture and comfortable beds. The nice touches of coffee/tea available in the lobby and room as well as the shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower were all much appreciated and unexpected. Located 4.4 miles from the town center and there are plenty of stores nearby. We loved the bed, it was soft and comfortable, clean bathroom and great service. Been to this Holiday Inn about 6 years ago had a blast so we decided to stay again I was so amazed with the remodel one of the best Holiday Inns I've stayed in the rooms are all redone with very nice decor and super comfortable beds. We had a suite with 2 queen beds and a extra sitting area. First thankyou Raul the front desk staff so nice and helpful told me of some great places to see and eat Jerome was a fun day trip thanks again. Breakfast was outstanding so fresh and the biscuits were cooked perfect a lot to choose from and we were full. I got to enjoy the pool and spa for 3 nights and it was so refreshing and it's inside. The Hotel is so clean in every hallway and bathroom I saw people cleaning all the time. We did use the laundry machines on the 2nd floor very nice to have. One more tip get a fresh cookie made everyday I loved taking one at night before bed. read more

I know I'm a few years late posting this, but this memory still haunts me and I think I'm ready to write about it. Me and a girlfriend just took a road trip to visit her mom in Prescott. We got there around 2 am. A man was at the front desk and took forever checking us in. He asked to see our ID's and kept asking a bunch of questions when it was fairly clear we were extremely tired and just wanted to sleep. After a half an hour, we finally got our keys and got a room. We were so tired from driving, we passed out immediately without remembering to lock the added bolt lock on the door. Around 4 am I wake up to this man in our room. I don't know what the hell he was expecting, but I was out of it and groggily asked what he was doing. He said he needed to make sure me and my friend were over 18 and needed to see our ID's again. This is not normal. This shouldn't have happened. I was so tired, that I just got my ID and my friend's and showed it to him. I asked him to leave immediately. This is one of the creepiest experiences of my life. I believe him and his wife own this place. Never go here. I wish I had the courage to do more at the time, but I was young and couldn't comprehend how disgusting this act was. read more

I stayed here for two nights. I really can't come up with a single negative. All I can come up with are superlatives, and thats rare for me. The WiFi was faster than my LTE on my cell phone -- that happens about 1% of all Hotel stays. They had blueberry greek yogurt as a breakfast selection!!!! I eat that every morning. The room was great, everything was like new. No problems at all. .... and its 2 blocks from Costco -- and they have gas! Who doesn't love that?
