Casey Hayes was Absolutely Amazing! Is extremely kind and respectful. Answered all my questions that I had. Would definitely recommend him for any work and would prefer him to be my personal Electrician. Did a fantastic job on installing my surge protector! Now I'm going to be full on transparent on here. I understand that they're a well established company and I understand that things are expensive. However, I spent more than I could afford to get my A/C "fixed", which was the original reason of me getting connected with them. They did a free check, then I had to set up Electrician work for the HVAC guys to come back out which was $2,000. A HVAC guy came after the Electric work was done and didn't do what I would told would have been done, which was checking to see if there were any leaks. He didn't check and instead just put 4lbs of freon and charged me nearly $500 for it. a Month in a half went by and my A/C began to stop working again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In between that time, I had gotten a call from the office to set up a free preventative maintenance for Electric and Plumbing and I was totally for that, since it was free.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Which was only because I had signed up to be a member, which they do free maintenance every 6 months and then they also give a 10% discount on services. HVAC came out again to check and had stated that the wires below the house, that connected the outside unit to the inside unit need to be replaced, which I agreed upon that to be replaced, in hopes that would fix it and for me to keep personal record on what is new, etc... Since I have only been in my home for 3 years now and was told things were new but have had issues sooner than I should have. I was charged $750 for that. Then, my A/C was off for a week in a half, while they searched for a part that they claimed that I needed to replace as well and wanted to try and say that they could do it for $2,000. Mind you, I have 2 children. I work a full time job but can barely keep up with everything because I am going through a divorce. I was not able to afford the $3,250 I had already spent on this company and the only good that was done was when Casey did his work and when Nguyen came out to do his inspections for Electric and I'm blanking on the guy I had for my Plumbing Inspection but he was nice and helped me solve an issue with my toilet flusher handle (whatever you want to call it). This is not a bad company. They're very kind, respectful, professional, and polite but I feel the HVAC side needs some work on being a bit more honest and communicating with each other on services being or needing done within a household, especially if the same people aren't going to be coming out each time. I am willing to stay a member to get the free preventative maintenance done and keep eyes on my Electric needs, but I ended up having a neighbor that is in HVAC, come over and fix my A/C. This all occured in the span of roughly 3 - 4 months, starting in July. I strongly recommend avoiding Comfort Wave for any service other than basic tune-ups! I own a duplex and arranged two work orders with Home Depot. One side was completed for $25.00, which included a detailed, complimentary diagnostic report with printouts and pictures, allowing me to consider future services. On the other property where my elderly veteran father lives, the thermostat wasn't working, so I fixed it by changing the battery. The Tech heard me telling my dad I would change the battery and quickly informed me that diagnosing the issue would incur a $66 rework fee rather than just the Home Depot tune-up cost special for $25.00. However, at the end of the second service, I was charged a non-refundable $166.00 diagnostic fee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfort wave tech Sebastian explained that since the work ran past 5 PM, he couldn't give me a quote on the spot but would send one the next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next day, the manager informed me that they needed to make a profit from the diagnosis because customers often go with other companies, and I see why customers would do this. The $66.00 service fee should have come with a diagnosis. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told the sales manager that the technician should have clearly communicated that there would be both a $66 charge and a $166.00 charge= $232 for the second property, not just making mention of the $66.00 service fee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt deceived since I was only informed of the charges at the "end of the service".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I had known up front, I would have declined to switch to Comfort Waves service. They do have one of the lowest service fees in Oklahoma; however, that is because they will force you at the end of the service with a random cost the homeowner knows nothing about. This is the new scam hustle. I should have only been charged $66.00 for the second property, which is fair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If the time had been before 5 pm, I would have been given quotes to decide to go with a possible repair, and wouldn't have known or been charged the ridiculous diagnostic fee of $166.00.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For the $25 service on one side, I received six attached quotes for potential future services with emailed pictures, costs, and diagrams in PDFs. To me, this should be considered part of the tune-up service, allowing customers to decide on any additional services. Again, the $66 service fee should have had the same follow-up service. The quote for the circuit board replacement ended up being $692.00, which was $526.00 after deducting the $166.00 fee. I found this to be outrageous, especially when a local HVAC supplier told me the board costs between $175.00 and $220.00. This experience made it clear that Comfort Wave is taking advantage of homeowners, the elderly, and women, especially. My second $25.00 Home Depot tune-up turned into a wasted $232.00. Here to think them having a cancellation to get both my properties in was a blessing. Nope, it was a big red flag mistake. So, if you are going through Home Depot or Lowe's promotions with local HVAC companies, be fully aware that once you change from the promotional cost, they will scam you into crazy HVAC costs regardless of whether you get work done or not. read more

I contacted Comfort Wave for a ceiling fan installation (actually 4 while I was considering 5) in a standard bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling. I understand that every company has its own pricing model and that additional work, such as installing a fan-rated box if necessary, can increase the cost. However, after obtaining estimates from four different companies, Comfort Wave's quote of $382 per ceiling fan install was by far the highest I received. It was several times the cost of the ceiling fan itself and significantly above the other estimates I obtained for the same project. As a homeowner, I don't expect the cheapest price because I'm big on quality, but I do expect pricing that feels fair and reasonable. Unfortunately, this estimate left me struggling to understand the value being offered for the cost and ultimately caused me to lose confidence in using Comfort Wave for not only this project but any future electrical, HVAC, or plumbing needs. The disappointing part is that I prefer to build long- term relationships with service providers and would have gladly considered Comfort Wave for other home projects. Instead, this experience led me to look elsewhere and will influence my recommendations to friends and family. And I don't curse, but this is ridiculous! And this is the only way to describe how this company has behaved at least two separate occasions!! This time, they charged me $60 dollars just for coming out, as if I'm paying for their gas. Then they charged me $300 dollars for them to locate the problem. And after I paid them, $360 dollars, they tell me they will send me a quote for repair. I'm just now reading these comments on Yelp, about this company, and two things stood out, 1. Comfort Wave's pattern of charging without repairing anything and 2. Comfort Wave works for Home Depot. So, basically I've paid Comfort Wave $360 of my hard earned money, for nothing. Yep, it was literally for nothing. Comfort Wave company reminds me of Proverbs 26:13. I was telling someone else about my problem and they recommended another company, who came out, found the problem and fixed it, on the spot, first visit for $250 dollars. The kicker is I should have known better, this isn't the first time this company ripped me off, and I got nothing. Tech came out, $66.00 just to arrive. Tech found a wiring issue. Tech rewired the 2 wires. I ask him to make sure they were tight. less than 48 hours later, one of the wires the tech moved had fallen off of the Start terminal of the compressor, no idea how long the unit was trying to run without a connection on the start terminal. While serveying the condition of the system, today which is less than 48 hours from the service. I attempted to open the unit up only to find that the tech had used his impact driver on the outside cover to the unit, and tightened the screw to the point that he had rounded the head off of the screw. Took me an hour to chisle the screw out to be able to access the inner controls of the unit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called them today, they are coming out tomorrow morning, I also ask to talk to someone in management to discuss the percieved sabotage to my unit, which would force me to replace this old one[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. read more

I am typically the person that avoids sales people at all cost. Especially as a veteran home owner that spends her weekends at HomeDepot gathering supplies for various household projects. I just so happened to be waiting to get a paint sample when the nicest lady approached us, she was so kind that we couldn't help engage. We took her up on the tune up, it was $29 and honestly we live in new construction so the added peace of mind was nice. Fast forward to later that day and the scheduler called us to schedule. I had my typical, I'm free and flexible all day. Only for Monday to arrive and I was in fact not free and not flexible. I provided William with a very small window I would have after navigating a hectic morning. William was fantastic, he chatted a bit and went right to work. He was respectful of my home, he was thorough in his inspection and tune up, he has one of those kind smiles that reassures you nothing can go wrong! He didn't attempt to upsell me or offer me anything I didn't need and I appreciated that he was respectful of my time. The unmentioned charges, outrageous parts pricing, and fail to present detailed estimate were negatives for us. Although the Tech was nice, the bottom dollar amount carries a heavy weight. A $135 Diagnostic, $66 repair charge with no repair, and the Tech being insure onsite less than an hour. A coupon was offered for Free repair charge if the company did the repairs, but if not you can be sure the $135 Diagnostic will be yours. To replace a $14 contactor which took less than 10 mins, and a $32 control transformer, their total cost was quoted at appr $514 but the Tech was willing to take it to $480 . This quote definitely makes the parts and outrageous cost to the us the customer. We went with this company because of the reviews, but I should have noticed the red flag of 2,016 5star reviews over a 2month period. Just too good to be True. read more

As a federal employee, I strongly recommend not doing business with this company. I ordered a Lennox and they installed a Trane! Two mini splits were installed into my home. From day one they didn't work. Comfort Wave installed a new outside unit and they still don't work. They have been to my home at least 12 times with several different techs coming each time. They refill the refrigerant each time then leave. After about 1 week the mini splits stop working again. One tech came out and said that the lines were too long and that they would probably have to put in two outdoor units and redo the condenser lines. Well that has been 6 weeks ago and I have heard nothing back from Comfort Wave. I called them but you just get the call center. I told the call center person the problem and they said that they would definitely tell the company to help solve the problem. Still haven't heard anything back from the company. $10,000 for mini splits that don't work and I now have ugly black pool noodles all over my home that they used to insulate the condenser lines. read more
