Comfort Zone (CZ) was a referral from a co-worker and I decided to give them a try albeit I was a bit leery due to 23 reviews (not a whole lot). The scheduled appointment time was between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. They were able to make it earlier and arrived at 9:45 am. According to my wife, Jim from was "very very helpful." I estimate he was at our home approximately 45 minutes replacing a fuse, running the system for awhile testing it, and ensuring everything else was running. All in all, a very positive experience with CZ. read more

What can I say but amazing! Speechless! Incredible! Our furnace made a loud noise during the night, came to a grinding halt and wouldn't blow air any longer. We were prepared for the worst. Steve and Comfort Zone of Glendora were HIGHLY recommended to us by a good friend. It was easy getting an appointment, he showed up on time, immediately spotted the problem - the motor needed to be rebuilt. Work was completed the next day and the furnace runs beautifully. Doesnt charge a diagnostic fee, only labor and materials and the bill was right at his "guesstimate". Comfort Zone guys were terrific. Feel like I won the lottery! They created a solution for the wind-tunnel noise on the new return that the Sears installer refused/denied there was a solution for. Sears guy kept saying - "you live in a condo there's nothing I can do." Comfort Zone opened up the wall, reframed the area, built a custom vent moving the return to the top of the wall where it's much quieter. No more wind tunnel. Very very happy. Comfort Zone even added sound dampening boards to the bottom of the other returns. I'm really sorry I didn't hire them for the whole job. I can't say enough good things. Hire Comfort Zone. read more

Comfort Zone is awesome. Steve installed a new A/c unit and replaced all the duct work at our house years ago, so this review is a long time coming. We remodeled our house and originally had a "friend of a friend" install the A/C. He did a terrible job (even fell through the ceiling and refused to fix it). Needing someone to complete the job, we were referred to Comfort Zone. They were extremely professional from the start. They worked fast and did an awesome job. It's been years and we have never had a problem with our A/C. We ONLY recommend Comfort Zone for heating and air. Somewhere along the lines an oil leak in the bearings in one the new swamp coolers was detected, Steve came out right away, ordered replacement bearings, installed them, and stood by his warranty like a real craftsman should. He took responsibility for the product he sold, and to me that seems like a very rare find these days. After 2019 ended, it turned out that Steve and his crew wound up not only doing an R&R (Remove and Replace) on my swamp coolers, but also added central air which entailed another R&R on the 50+ year old forced air unit. With the new air handler came an issue of high output air that my home was never designed for, and the system in my house never worked well getting the air out evenly to the entire home anyhow. So once more Steve & the guys helped me out adding an additional duct so air now flows evenly everywhere. Again, their work was outstanding, professional, not to mention if I had a question they were happy to answer it. (and being a tradesman of another craft I do tend to ask some technical and logical questions.) and just for clarification purposes, I use the word "Craftsman" to describe Steve and the guys as opposed to the word "contractor" because being a "Craftsman" is a much higher standard than just a "contractor" is. read more

This company is exceptional and I can't recommend them enough. I sell real estate in the San Gabriel Valley and have experience with many, many HVAC companies through housing inspections for buyers to repairs and new installations for clients of mine and Comfort Zone is far superior. I had them come out to my own house a few years ago and they were exceptional. I had braced for them to tell me I needed a new unit, and at more than 25+ years old that wouldn't have surprised me. But, they didn't. They serviced the unit and it worked great for another 3 years. This year, at the peak of summer heat, of course, the old AC unit that came with the house we bought died. I brought them out for a quote to remove the existing asbestos ducting and replace everything with new equipment. They just finished and I am thrilled with the experience from beginning to end - and I'm not just saying that because I finally have cool air blowing! Here's why I will recommend them to my neighbors and my clients: * They showed up on time and had the written bid to me when promised. This may seem like a small thing, but my experience is when contractors don't show up on time to get the job, you can expect a lot more of that once you sign a contract with them. * Their bid was very detailed and was sent with their insurance and bonding information. I usually would go looking for this information before hiring a company, but they proactively sent it with the bid. * Their bid assumed and included pricing for permitting the job. This is a big one. If a contractor tries to convince you to do the job without a permit then walk the other way. Now, you may choose not to get a permit, but you want a contractor who isn't afraid of and is familiar with the permitting process all the same. * Their office staff is exceptional. They were always two steps ahead of me and would proactively send me information about phases in the project like coordinating the asbestos removal (a different company). They also emailed to let me know the permit was pulled. I never had questions about what was happening next as they would email with the information before I even thought to ask. * Their pricing was right in line with what I was expecting. Frankly, even if they were higher than other bids, I still would've hired them because of all the reasons above. They also adjusted my final invoice (without me even asking or knowing it had to be adjusted!) because I didn't use the thermostat and the smoke/co2 detectors they had bid. I'm not sure I've experienced many times a contractor reduce my bill without even being asked. Because of all of the above I am fully confident if something happens to my new AC that Steve and his company will stand behind their work and fix the issue. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this company. read more

We had 4" of insulation in our attic. Comfort zone added 10" to bring us up to an R38 insulation rating. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. Very very reasonable price. We could tell a difference right away that the house was staying warmer. read more
