I have always been a fan of comic book heroes from Marvel, DC, TMNT, etc but had never been to my local comic book shop until recently and I was very pleased. This place is awesome. It has all the new books plus old classic graphic novels, trade paperbacks, oversized hardcover collection editions. There's a wide variety for everyone plus other merchandise like action figures, statues, clothing, etc. The store is neat and well organized. Located in a plaza next to walgreens so parking is never an issue. The reason I give this store 5 stars though is the service. When i visited, the man working was Garrett, who was very nice and welcoming. Before entering, I imagined the comic book guy from the Simpsons but Garrett was cool and very knowledgeable. You tell him what you like or what you're looking for, he gives you good recommendations. He is kind and respectful and isn't annoyingly pushy. Another thing i noticed was a particular customer came in (he looked like a regular) and he had like an assortment of comic books waiting for him at the counter. Im not sure if he pre-ordered on the phone or he just has a weekly subscription with them but that is great service. Also the place was busy with customers. I saw two moms buying multiple toys and super hero merch while I was there, which are all positive signs. Only bad part (which isnt unique to this store but im sure every local comic book shop across America has this same issue) is that all the prices are at MSRP so it is kind of expensive. When i visited, they had a "Buy 2, get 1 free graphic novel" holiday deal which is great but after the holidays, everything is gonna be back normal retail price. I hate buying from amazon because they dont ship comics properly (customers always claim book gets damaged in shipping), and its a large corp and i would rather support a local business but the prices are an issue if you intend to buy multiple books regularly. I wish there was a bargain bin or even a slight discount, at least on older books. If customers could get even 25%-30% off older collected editions, I would buy the whole set from my local comic book shop. Bottom line, I love this place and i hope others who may share this hobby continue to support this shop, especially during COVID where so many local businesses have been affected. read more

We drove over an hour to check out Comic City. We were pretty pleased with the store, the guy at the counter, and our overall experience. For being a Comic Shop they had more than just your standard comics. We went specifically to check out the Pops! We had originally expected to pay a little more than any other store that sells these items. So we weren't too shocked when they were being sold for the values. We look into each Pop figure so when one is being sold for about $10.00 but they are really only "worth" $4.00 it's hard to find a reason to buy. Everything else was great, and we ended up leaving with a couple Pops! We will be back again. read more

I know this store and I am telling you they will treat you well here, specially the managers. You will find what you need and more and if not, they'll get it for you! I love that this place exists, and I'll continue to support them till the day I die. Why? Because in this crazy world of ours, superheros are the only real role models left!! read more

While they have a LOT of comics they don't carry enough Star Wars and Manga in general for my taste. Nice staff and clean store, not much to brag about. read more

Everytime I go in my bill is wrong and it's a fight...This isn't on sale, this is, red line stuff over there isn't on sale, half off redline isn't half off the price it's half off the oldest price....Give me a break...Just left 6 items behind in anger and frustration...Used to be the best around but has gone down fast...sad... read more

spent over 200 dollars on a green lantern movie prop for my son, and when we tried to turn it on when we got home, it was broke. I called and spoke with an associate and explained what had happened, she said that I couldn't get a refund; furthermore, she said "you should've read the sign, it says no refund". I asked again, does this apply to being sold broken merchandise? there was a bit of laughter in her voice when she replied with "I don't know what to tell you".
