He's made me a custom harness because my old one was uncomfortable, a custom belt because I didn't like how my old one rubbed, custom straps, webbing, pouches. You name it he can do it. It's impressive how creative he and his staff is. You present the problem they are going to solve it and they won't stop trying until you are satisfied. On top of that, he is priced extremely fair and you can tell him and his staff genuinely want to just help you succeed however they can. There are many surplus stores in Columbus. And they are all great. The thing that separates Gibson's is that it is like a family there. They know your name they know your situation and they are invested in your career. To the point where Gibson shaved his head when one of his customers graduated from ranger school.

STOP GOING HERE Went…read morein looking for stuff to turn in to CIF. I tried picking gear that needed some cleaning to save money. I was wrong. Tried to wheel and deal but there was zero wiggle room on obviously used and abused gear. I was told "We get these straight from the manufacturer," all while I'm looking at large rust patches and wear. The guy offered to get me brand new items. That was nice but the price was still high. Of the 7 small things I wanted I left with 2 canteens and 2 canteen pouches, less money, and a sour taste for the store and the gentleman behind the counter. He did stick to his guns, there was no way I was going to leave with that used equipment for anything less than what a brand new item cost. I went down the street, passed ranger joes and turned into Tier 1 supply. This is what a surplus store is supposed to be. Friendly folks behind the counter instantly said if you got stuff to trade we do that. I got everything I needed with a couple extra things cif wouldn't take from me. Even before the trade, the price for all 7 things (2 sustainment pouches, 2 2qrt canteens, 2 2qrt covers, small stuff sack) I needed was half the price of Commandos. Tier 1 even gave me free donuts as I left. Immediately returned to Commandos to return $45 worth of canteens. Like are you kidding me.

The alterations were $130 and I paid her half on the same day I took them. I called on August 1st and she told me they were not ready bc her machine broke but she would have them ready the next day and she would give me a call. She never called. I called this morning she did not answer so I left a message still no reply so I called this evening just for her to tell me my stuff still was not ready. She stated the only thing she had ready was one outfit but keep in my mind we discussed the price for each piece of clothing and the outfit did not equal $65 when we discussed the prices. So asked her could she just give me a discount for the inconvenience and she said no. The only thing she would do is give me the outfit that she fixed and give me back the others ones she did not fix but the outfit she fixed was not $65.
