Joe is seriously one of the nicest people I've ever met. He went out of his way to help me and even offered to order whatever I needed if they didn't have it in stock or in my size. Joe really helped me out when I was in a bind. The Colonel who runs the ROTC program decides to make a uniform change with less than three months left in the year, thanks buddy sure I don't mind buying ANOTHER set of boots for my daughter in ROTC. With only days left before an event Joe made a special order and had them shipped next day air via Fed Ex. These boots were very specific and no other stores in the valley or LA carried them. Joe carried them and he came thru like a champ. Customer service at its best. I will be returning to purchase some of the Nine Line clothing line too. Very happy with my experience here. read more

I really enjoy going here even to just look around I've met Joe G., the owner, and he's just the nicest, friendly, down to earth gentleman. I don't give this compliment lightly. I'm really a grouch and hard to impress. How many 5 star ratings to you see me give on Yelp? I only give it if the service is consistent through the years. I purchased a fleece jacket from the commando surplus store. It took two months to get it. When I got the jacket I paid in full. Apparently they didn't write it down that I paid in full. I paid for it and it was 140 dollars. Then when the right jacket comes they charged me an extra 40 dollars and why? I believe that they ripped me off. When I was upset about having to pay more the gentleman at the counter was very hostile and just being rude. Then he threatened me in front of my kid. The gentleman that worked there was rude, and not nice. I would never go back not would I say to go there at all. read more

Great store to shop at! They seem to have more selections of military gear and other related apparel than other surplus store. Plus, all their Nine-Line apparel gives back the proceeds to our wounded soldiers, how cool is that? It doesn't get much more American than that and it definitely hits home to me having somebody in my family that is currently serving our great nation, so I think it's really cool and amazing for them to carry the merchandise and support our home grown heroes. read more

This store has most everything you will need when looking for military items. I wish the store was larger.

Commando Military Surplus has a great selection of military uniforms, clothing, survival gear, patches, pins, boots, knifes and anything military related under the sun. The store is conveniently located on Main street with ample parking both in the front and back. Stopped in today needing help putting together a Halloween costume for my wife. Joe (owner and veteran) helped me piece together everything I needed to complete the costume at a very fair price. They have an off site warehouse so if you don't see what your looking for just ask... They will have it! Customer service is something hard to find now-a-days and Joe along with his staff are top notch and had me leaving with a smile on my face! read more

I only come here if i am desperate for gear but i no longer come here anymore because i overstock whenever i go to base or order online everything at this store is over priced beyond belief you can buy all those things online at a cheaper price and better quality. If there was good customer service then maybe you would not need to sell things over priced. read more

Came here a few months ago to buy some Acu pants they had a big selection and were really nice it was a Mom and pop tipe of store but when I got the Acu pants they ripped the next day at work so I'm not to happy with that. read more

Under New Ownership - the last owners were ok but the prices were way high. The new owner came in and dropped all the prices.
