    Common Ground Pottery cool merch!

*Hello Kitty Mug Workshop* on 03.07.2026 at COMMON GROUND POTTERY in Henderson! I booked the class as soon as it popped up on my Instagram feed! Of course my algorithm knows I love Hello Kitty, but then again, who doesn't!? It was a 2-hour class which was mainly to create a masterpiece of your own creativity! Lol. I laugh because in my head I envisioned my design looking just like the advertisement, but I tried my best and still had fun! I even went on a solo date and sat at a table with other first-timers who were also there by themselves. It was easy to start convos with each other, especially when it came to questions. The mug base was already pre-made, we just had to select from the dozens on display. Grab it with caution since it's still wet. You're then mainly working on the design. Thank goodness for the two hours, because it was just the right amount of time! I chose to use a stamp, just like a cookie cutter, but you can also select a stencil to work from. The instructors were super kind, informative, and friendly!! For the first few minutes they introduced us to the various tools, processes, and designs available. You'll also need to decide if you're going to return to paint later (extra cost) or just the one color and glaze already included as part of the workshop. The drying period is 10-14 days, so I think it's about 4-6 weeks before you get to pick up your final product. The studio buzzed with excitement! There were two different classes going on at the same time, but the noise level didn't distract. There were also examples from previous workshops so you can get a better idea of what the possibilities are! I can't wait to return to finish my project, and to book future workshops!! Thank you to all staff for your awesomeness! Some of their work is on display and for sale in the merch corner!

I did the matcha bowl workshop here and had a fantastic time! Our instructor (wish I could remember her name) was great! She was so thorough, helpful, and anticipated the needs of all students in the class. I had such a fun time and will definitely be coming back for more classes and potentially a membership. I hope Common Ground finds their way to downtown Vegas and opens another location! Still worth the drive tho

It was our first time trying wheel throwing and it was so much fun. The instruction was clear and yet not overly prescriptive. The environment is clean, relatively tidy considering how many people were in class. The staff was kind, genuine, and overall helpful in their instruction. They really made everyone feel welcome and encouraging students on how to try different techniques to manipulate the clay. So much fun! Thank you so much to the staff for making this a fun experience.

Can you tell I'm a beginner? Lol.

So much fun! We had such a good time with our pottery wheel lesson. The instructors were friendly, patient and so helpful. We had plenty of time to work on 3-4 pieces and got to choose which ones to fire and take home. They gave us several color choices and pick up in about 3 weeks or so. Highly recommend, and shout out to Colton, who is one of the co owners and so patient, enthusiastic and helpful. Wishing this duo every success!

Such a cool experience! We spent a couple of hours learning wheel throwing with a small group of beginners, and it was a blast. The instructors were so patient, kind, and fun. We'll definitely be back for more classes--it's an awesome way to spend quality family time. If you haven't tried it yet, you totally should!

This place is so darn CUTE. I'll have to come back for a throw class one day, but the one we did (Coffee and Clay) involved molding just with our hands. We will get to pick up our cute lil bowls... cups? lol let's see if they stay together when they bake such a fun activity!

This place was incredible. The teachers are so knowledgable, so helpful and so kind. I've been dying to take a pottery class for years and I'm so grateful I decided to make a trip here. It's a beautiful studio and perfect for anyone at any skill level.

Common Ground Pottery is truly my happy place. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, welcoming vibes and a beautifully curated space that feels both inspiring and cozy. Every detail--from the colorful glaze selections to the calming music and decor--has clearly been chosen with love and intention. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned artist, this studio makes creativity feel effortless and fun.

My friends and I celebrated my birthday here, and it was so much fun. We did the wheel throwing and it was a great experience with everyone it was something all of us were trying for the first time. Colton and Robert were amazing at helping all of us and making sure we were happy with what we made. Overall great vibes all around. Highly recommend.

This place is so fun! I have zero experience with pottery, and they are so welcoming and friendly here. I've done two of their "coffee and clay" classes and just started their June series, where they teach you the basics of using the wheel and other things.

Common Ground Pottery is more than a studio--it's a soulful little sanctuary where creativity and community meet. Meg and Colton, the owners, are not only wildly talented but also kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in everyone who walks through the door. They've built a beautiful space that nurtures both art and connection. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned potter, this place feels like home. The vibe is warm, the instruction is thoughtful, and the energy is just... great. I leave every class feeling grounded and inspired. Can't recommend it enough!!!

It felt like a personalized and private class with the amount of attention we got. We decided to go for the candle making add on and they had all the supplies ready to go and we were done with the candle making part in 15 minutes honestly. While the candles cured, we headed over to the paint class! We ended up with a private paint class and our instructor was really kind and patient. He went over a couple things repeatedly for us and even walked around to help us out. Some of us were total beginners but felt completely at ease. We got to choose the playlist of songs and took our time with the painting. They do push purchasing drinks a bit. They had a raffle for a free painting at the end of the class. All in all this was an amazing experience for girls night, birthday, bachelorette etc!
