I went into Commonwealth Kia on Saturday, 2-22-2023. I was interested in the Kia K5 GT with the Turbo Engine. I was dealing with Alex. We discussed lease numbers for a 36-month lease, 12k miles. Alex spoke to current Manager on duty, Mark, who is normally the Honda Sales Manager, but was covering Kia for the day. Alex came back with the lease offer of 12k, 36 months, No money down for $449.00 per month including taxes. I asked Alex if I could think this over and get back to him by 2pm on Sunday, 2-23-2024. Alex said he would ask Mark if this would be ok. Mark told Alex this was a one time deal and only good until I left the dealership. I confronted Mark and asked him why it would not be valid on Sunday, 2-23-2024. Mark's response was it was due to him being the acting Sales Manager just for Saturday and he may have been ignorant in offering this deal. Today, Sunday, 2-23-2024 Alex called to see I I was going in to sign the lease contract and give the first month's payment. I asked Alex if the would do the same deal at 15k for $450.00 per month. Alex said he would talk to Manager on duty and call me back. Alex called me back about 15 minutes later stating that the new lease for 15k for 36 months would be $580.00 with $5000.00 down payment. Can someone tell me what's wrong with this scenario, beside a bait and switch SCAM. I would really like a response from Mr. Charles Daher regarding this issue. And yes I am a former customer of Commonwealth Honda. This is totally a major Negative experience with this dealership and I will not hesitate to express my experience to others. DISGUSTING BUSINESS- GO ELSEWHERE. My husband and I went to this location to find a specific vehicle, they did not have it in stock and demanded a deposit to even "start the process of looking" which is a complete joke. There was already a red flag when we walked in as we had negotiated things beforehand and when we arrived nobody knew our names despite several calls before we walked in. We were very clear we needed to be in the car in a matter of days (me being 9 months pregnant). We had a scare and rushed to the hospital that evening and knew we were on an even tighter time crunch than we thought but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt to "locate a vehicle". A couple days went by and it was radio silence, no updates on finding a car no VIN located, no window sticker sent. We then called a couple days later and said we want to cancel the process because another dealership can give us a car that day. The sales pig JOSH refused to refund our deposit even tho there was no VIN, no financing complete and no possession of the car. He conveniently made a claim that they tried to call us that afternoon (a couple hours before we canceled) that they located a vehicle - but of course when we asked the junior staff what number they called it was the wrong one. They didn't even bother to follow up with an email or call to my husband or to even get in contact which indicates they didn't have the car. Josh then claims that he's the only person that will speak to us or call us back when we tried to reach out to upper management. Can't believe the owners are letting this freak handle all customer relations like this. They have forever lost a customer for service or anything in the future. Kia Commonwealth offered to secure a new vehicle from another dealer for me with a deposit. They failed to secure the exact vehicle I wanted and instead, without my consent, obtained a "comparable" one. Commonwealth Motors sold me a car in December of 2023. I was promised a windshield replacement, a touch up paint on the hood, along with replacement vehicle while it was being fixed. Soon after I discovered a number of issues with the car. The headlights severely condensate, the drivers side door leaks, the inside driverside I have had to use an ice scraper the windshield wipers stop out of the blue, the passenger side wiper is broken. The temperature showed 95 while is was under 20 degrees. The rotors are beat up, and to date I have not received my warranty information, despite my multiple request. I have not received the complete car fax report. It was sold to me for 4K over book value. Today is January 20 2024 and I still have NO inspection sticker. I was steered into purchasing this vehicle, and will be filing a report with the FTC, and Massachusetts Attorney General. read more

I had the worst experience at Kia Commonwealth. I was going to buy a Kia Sorento 2021 which had a surcharge of an extra $2000 due to the lack of inventory. First of all, our sales person, Shaun Padilla, was brand new. I totally understand and appreciate everyone having a learning curve, but he didn't even know who to address our down payment check to. I was like "Commonwealth Kia??" It was 90° outside and he didn't even offer us water. Every question we asked him he had to go ask someone else. I didn't have a trade-in because I was giving my Honda cross tour to my son. I put $1000 down and even with that, my credit union couldn't get the total value to 100% (due to the surcharge which has nothing to do with the value of the vehicle). I kept going back and forth with the sales rep when I asked him to discount $1,500 of the $2,000 surcharge so my credit union could get to the hundred percent value they needed. All he kept telling me was how they can finance it for me.......over and over again like a broken record. I had asked for absolutely nothing, was willing to pay the sticker price (which I've never done before), because I know the climate right now with the micro chip shortage. They couldn't even give $1,500. Now they won't even refund my $1,000 deposit!!!!. The worst car purchase experience of my life! I will never go here again!!! I ended up going to another dealer (not Kia.....done with those for life) and what a difference!! no surcharge. There were three different people who saw us waiting who asked us if we wanted water or anything to drink. Our sales rep actually went out to get us smoothies because he felt bad that we had to wait for the person to do our paperwork. I didn't ask for anything, was willing to pay the sticker price, and he threw in custom mats for us!!!! what a night and day experience! My problem is that this is my third Kia that I have owned and the engine light is on at 71,000 miles. I bought my car at Pride. I am having problems with the camshaft and the service department at Pride cannot see me until November 13. I called Commonwealth Kia And they won't even look at my car because I didn't buy it from them. What happened to the days when you could get your car serviced at any at the dealership or any other dealership that sells the same kind of car! For years I raved about the service at Commonwealth Kia, especially Jesse! My 2019 Sportage was only ever serviced there, even for just a inspection sticker. I recently noticed the oil light go on after I had an oil change and thought it was odd. The next time I brought the car in for an oil change Jesse told me I was losing oil and a diagnostic would have to be done. When I asked what the worse case scenario would be, he said a new engine. He was going to check with the General Manager to see what can be done because the car was just 6K over the warranty and said my car was always serviced on time (maybe 1K over due oil change). I called Jesse for an update and I was told there was a 19K mile lapse between oil changes and they could not help me.I have every receipt from day one and I noticed that the same milage was on February and in June of the same year, obviously a typo on whoever entered the milage. If this happened once, was the correct milage put in the service order other times? My deceased husband was a mechanic. If there is anything I learned from him it was to take care of my car always, and it was! I am extremely disappointed with Jesse for not fighting more for me (Karma is a bitch). If you service your car at Commonwealth Kia, make sure you check the date and milage on the invoice before you leave there! read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Been bringing my car here for 2 years to fix this problem. Warranty is only as good as Kia Service's willingness and ability to find and fix problem. Today was 5th and final chance to keep my business. Made Saturday appt so I could test drive with tech to reproduce and show him the problem. Didn't honor appt. Waited 2 hours for them to "fit me in." Took car on test drive without me - the entire reason I brought car in and sat in stupid waiting room for 2 hours on beautiful, sunny, warm Saturday morning. Tech couldn't reproduce issue test driving without me. Too busy to go test drive again. Told me probably bad gas and I should run through full tank and come back. Told them i'd been there at least 4 times over the last 2 years and that gas is not the problem - and that I was not coming back. Then service desk tech Corrected me - said I had only been there twice. Told me to come behind the counter and see my history for myself. Listen, I wish I could forget the now 5 miserable and wasted experiences i've had with Commonwealth Kia Service - but I was there - and you obviously don't respect me or my time. After you lease a car they don't respond to a telephone call with a question. Kimberly Dahr calls with a recorded message a couple of days after the purchase, and says call her with any issues. She doesn't respond to messages either. Just an average car dealership at best. read more

I won't step foot inside any of the Commonwealth auto showrooms ever I thought again. Yesterday, a Commonwealth Kia sales person named Ivan lied directly to me. After telling him that the Manchester Kia dealer emailed me with a much better deal (and showing/reading him the actual deal), Ivan proceeded to tell me that once I showed up in Manchester to pick up my new car, the dealer there was going to "surprise me with $3,000-$4,000 in extra charges--they do it to everyone." I repeated his statement to him to make sure I heard him correctly. At best, it was ridiculous, outrageous and unprofessional. (And yes, I picked up the new car from Manchester and the deal was exactly as they had emailed me...no hidden charges.) Several years ago, I visited the Commonwealth Honda showroom. When I told the salesperson that I wanted a specific color of the Honda model I was buying, he said they didn't have that color in stock. When I thanked him and was ready to leave, he too lied to me by saying that he could see what colors all of the Honda dealers in NE had in stock, and I might as well buy his because no one had the color I wanted. I then traveled to the Honda dealer in Danvers and got the exact color I was looking for. Yesterday I wanted to give them another try in case my prior experience was an anomaly. I went to fix my KIA in commonwealth KIA.. Had a sign on and I was concern about it. I drive a lot and needed to make sure there isn't a big problem. They checked it and then told me that it will be cost $535 to fix it if not, they will charge me $100 for look check the car. I told them, fix it and I also have 10% coupon. My bill came $513 with taxes.. My husband got the received, he called a least 5 Kia dealers and the part that they sold me for $433 with the 10%. Others Kia had it $230, $245, $260.. He called them and argued why the part was so expensive when others dealers are cheaper.. they could not give him an answer.. He stills waiting for the manager to call him back.. well.. Next time you get your car fix, look around.. They really expensive and over pricing!!! AND check your Received and cooperate!! you wont go back! read more

Been coming here for 15 years (give or take). I am on my third Kia and as the years have gone by I have realized that the service has been getting slower. The problem I had today I have had before, and a few years ago it took 30 mins from the time I got in to the time I walked out. However, today, it took almost two full hours. I brought my Kia in for a tire leak. Turned out to be a screw in the tire. A whole hour went by before someone came out to talk to me about it. After that, it took almost ANOTHER hour to tell me they had the tire in stock and to put it on. It wasn't until I went over to ask what was going on that they told me it was still being worked on. This was one tire replacement, not all four, and nothing else was being done. On top of this, it was me and another gentlemen who was sitting in the waiting room who told me he also noticed over the years that things have been getting slower there. What happened? It use to be much faster service, especially on a weekday. read more

Our sale person was very, very good. He knew the car very well and we give him an A for that. But we do have comments: The first was in the sale of the extend warranty and oil change. The way it was presented to us, no one told us that it was only good at that dealer. We have 2 others Ika dealers closer that Commonwealth and wanted to take it there for service, but now we are locked into only using them. When I bought my extended warranty on my Toyota, it is good at ANY Toyota dealer. We love our car, and really liked our sales person, but if we knew that the extended oil change and extended warranty was good there, we would NOT have purchase that. They have no loyalty program. I have had both Fords and Toyotas and for every time I spend anything (service or parts) at those dealers, I get points, that I can use later for other purchases, weather it was service or parts. They do not have anything like that. Waiting room is very basic, compared to other dealers. read more

I have to say I have never had a better experience at a car dealership then with the guys at Commonwealth. I had recently visited another car dealership about purchasing a Kia and was pretty much told that there was no way I was getting a car and sent me on my way. I went into Commonwealth with my mother who also bought a car from them (she worked with Daniel Taiwatian and had a great experience with him as well) and just decided on a whim to see what they could do for me and if i was really dead in the water with purchasing a car. I worked with Bob Nerden on the purchase of my car and I have to say he is just awesome. He made me feel very comfortable and with the work of him and Josh the Sales Manager got me as close as I wanted to be with a payment I was happy with in the car I wanted. I ended up with a 17 Kia Sportage which is what i've wanted for months now and I am extremely happy with the experience working with Bob. I was in my car within 2 days of purchase and working with Eric in Financials I was very aware of everything I was signing and what i would be paying and wasn't pressured into buying all these extra warranties i didn't need. We bought a 2017 Serento when we made the deal we told the salesperson do not put any plates or decals with commonwealth on our Serento he said ok.Well we picked it up drove it home opened the back shut it and there was a decals it had to be 10 inches long.So I took my finger nail pushed up on it and it cringed up so I pulled it off when I got to the T there was a big chip underneath.Went back to show them the salesman and manager went behind close doors came out went out to look at the chip came back in and said you did it.There is no way a nail would chip down to the bear metal.They said they were not going to fix it.went home took off the rest of the letters and there was a nother chip .called and the salesman would not answer the phone.Keeped calling a nother salesman answered told him there was a nother chip he said you did it and hung up. I do not feel like they have done more work than needed and I feel like I can trust them when they say something needs to be done or it can wait.
