Several years ago I was driving past the Toy Store auto lot in Salem, NH and noticed a little green sports car on the front row that really caught my eye. So, I stopped-in to check it out and while there had the very good fortune of meeting with the brother owners, Mike and Dave. That car impressed me as a great and honest car - as did both of the owners! Our credit picture was a bit challenging at the time, but they "rolled-up their sleeves" and worked with the utmost diligence and integrity for us to arrange some very reasonable "feel good" financing. Thanks to their efforts that car now still comfortably resides in our garage! The larger and much more important part of why I chose to write this review today is simply this: I have been a resident of this planet for more than half a century now and in that time have come into contact with many business people across all backgrounds and selling all multitude of products. In my view, in this day and age it is very rare when a person feels compelled to write about having a GREAT business experience with a particular company or people. So, I felt it important to due my part and to make a point of giving some proper recognition and credit when and where it was due. Each of these fine men at Toy Store Auto Sales did their very best to earn my trust, my admiration - and most importantly, my friendship over these past several years since I first came to know them. This is a GREAT and HONEST family-owned business of good moral character and faith; one that truly rises way above the typical "used car dealer" mentality and norm or stereotype. Over the happy years (and many happy "Miles & Smiles") since, I have come to know Mike and Dave's mom & dad (the couple that started Toy Store many years ago at this same location and who are responsible for building such a wonderful business model for their children to own and manage today) - and their long-time, very knowledgeable, hard-working and friendly head mechanic, Gary and their additional, since-hired, very personable & efficient salesman, Adrian. I am very proud and happy to consider all of these fine people my friends now - so much so that since the first car we purchased from them, there is now a second much larger "family" vehicle that just came home from Toy Store to go into the garage beside that neat little sports car. I would UNRESERVEDLY RECOMMEND the Toy Store to anyone who is in the market for a very satisfying car-buying experience - with an emphasis on genuine QUALITY, VALUE, HONESTY, INTEGRITY and GREAT PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE. I have come to know first hand that how these folks treat their customers - and how their customers feel about their dealings with Toy Store - is even much more important to them than simply "making the sale"! Try thinking that thought with the overwhelming majority of places you see cars for sale at - especially those selling used cars! My sincere hope for this great company and for all of these fine people is that this review of mine will shed some very valuable light on a truly great car sales business! That said, it is also obvious from what I see on their lot every time I drive by (sometimes stopping-in just to say hello) is that Toy Store does a great job of acquiring what would best be described as Pre-Owned cars - the kind that they themselves would feel good about having a family member drive-away in. I came to Toy Store Auto Sales on 02/05/17 with my girlfriend. We had gone to several other locations in the area the day prior with quotes of ridiculous rates and trying to make us overpay for the vehicle. As we pulled in to Toy Store Auto Sales, my girlfriend and I were looking at the nice cars and quickly thought there's no way we can afford these cars. When we parked the car we were greeted by Adrian. Very professional and knowledgable. He was eager to meet the needs of what my girlfriend's desires. He let us test drive the car my girlfriend wanted which was the 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL. The car is very clean and was very reasonably priced at a low interest rate with no money down. Unfortunately, they were closing soon but Adrian assured us he would get us approved by a credit union by noon the next day. 02/06/17 Adrian calls my girlfriend and tells her that we were approved and we could pick the car up at noon just as he promised. We had a busy schedule today and assured Adrian we would be there no later than 3pm. When we got there, the car had been vacuumed, filled with gas, and had a car wash and the car was warming up so we didn't get in a freezing cold car. We went over paperwork and everything was just as he said no bullshit. We received an inspection sticker, 20 day plates and a temp registration. And drove away. My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Mike at Toy Store in October 2019 through the Internet (initially found on Cargurus.com). Mike was thorough and always responded to any question we had in a timely manner. He sent us extra pictures when we requested it and was very honest. I had some apprehension about the buying process, as we did not see the vehicle in person prior to it being delivered to our house. When it arrived, it was beautiful and exactly as described. There truck was priced exactly right for what I was looking for. we were able to close the deal with ease. The next day they had called me at noon to let me know I was all set to go, Truck was washed up ready to go, they made the whole process so easy it was refreshing not to deal with the BS.
