I then saw the bill which my insurance paid most of it but it was $400+ tele health appt only to be dismissed. Needles to say I am still dealing with issues and seeing a naturopathic dr as well as seeking an appointment with another GI doctor with another practice.

As others have noted, the wait time here is a killer. They don't really have convenient appointment…read moretimes for folks working a 9-5. It's even less ideal for folks like me who aren't allotted partial PTO in their jobs and try to make an appointment over their lunch break. A 3:15 PM appointment means you'll be lucky to see your clinician by 4 PM. Really not ideal. Oh, and they tell you to arrive 30 minutes ahead of time. Why? No. I spoke with my nurse practitioner about it earlier in the week, and she confirmed that they are always 'crazy' and behind due to a litany of tasks that they have to do. I totally get being swamped with patients and procedures, but I wish the office management would get their act together a wee bit to be more respectful of their patient's time. Everyone who works there is really nice, and the NP I saw, Stephanie Herndon, honed in on my issue right away in a way that no other clinician has in the past. Her diagnosis seemed on point and she was really personable and kind. She took her time with me, which I appreciated also. I've previously seen Dr. Farrell also, who is also great. So: 5 stars for the clinician, 1 star for the wait time.

Dr. Ellis is a wonder. She has been my PCP for many years and she now works here at the Mayland…read moreClinic. She is so thoughtful, thourough, and has an incredible bedside manner. She explains every test result in layman's terms without having to be asked. It's not easy to find a doctor of her caliber any more. The office staff are equally great to deal with. The nurses go way above and beyond to help you feel comfortable doing everything they can to be of help to their perspective doctors. Never a long wait in my experience. That's wraps it up.

I see Dr Ham at Mayland for treatment of migraines. She and her staff are top-notch and I feel I am in very good hands. The Maryland facility is easy to get to (access, easy parking) and the administrative staff make check-in and check-out a quick and easy process. I have never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room before getting to see the doctor.

I have no complaints with my doctor, or the care I have been given, but the billing department this time changed the coding and now I am being charged for my procedure (not covered fully by insurance). Same procedure I have had every time, but this time coded differently. I was not informed in any way prior to my procedure that there would be charges involved due to different bill coding. I really think when you are going to be charged $1000 plus, you should be informed prior! So, be prepared, their billing department is there to find a way around insurance to get $$$$$ out of your pocket!!!

She kept talking in circles, repeating the same sentence 3-4 times, kept saying "uh huh" real fast in the rude and annoyed way, and would not stop talking and making remarks long enough to allow me to ask my questions. I had to sit in silence to wait for her to finish her wildly unprofessional rambling. I asked her at least twice to please treat me with kindness and that I was a customer/client. I ended up in tears, feeling worthless. l've never been treated in such a way. No respect or care. I love my doctor there and the front desk has always been nice. Billing department needs intensive training in customer service and soft skills. Not everyone understands billing, they should be able to help customers understand and not get upset so easily. I am still in complete shock over that call.

In that time, he failed to fax simple paperwork to my employer. I ended up losing my job of over 12 years because he couldn't do his. And then they blew up my phone because I wasn't paying my bills. I'm still having phantom pains, btw. He didn't figure it out. I've already spoken with two lawyers about a lawsuit. This group cost me my job, affected my credit AND are now threatening to garnish my wages at my new job. AVOID.

I was treated like a new patient and told no appointments were available and to call back at the end of August when the next appointment block opens up because my "first appointment" had to be with a doctor. Don't know why I can't see the PA who should then be able to assign me to a new doctor at an office where I've been a patient for close to 15 years. I am horrified by the treatment I have received…read more The colonoscopy procedure was fine; but when I called about a problem, Dr. Charlotte Campbell did not call me for at least two weeks. I needed another in 6 months, and dealing with her and her team has been pretty crazy. I called maybe 6 weeks or more before colonoscopy because I had stomach pain. Her team failed to call me back for, again, two weeks with, again, excuses about a busy office. I was able to get an appointment in another 2 weeks. She gave me instructions to eat small meals often and to take more Prilosec and to take Famotidine. These instructions have not helped, and my stomach is worse, so I rescheduled the upcoming colonoscopy. When I spoke with someone to give a message to Dr. Campbell, she was extremely RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE. She told me I shouldn't have rescheduled in a very unpleasant way. When I told her my reasons, she argued and put me down. Then, she told me I should go to the emergency room if my pain was severe. I don't know what to do. I really want to change practices, but I fear I'd have to wait too long for another appointment. I am really upset after such an experience.

I came back to this practice in 2024 but this time with Dr. Charlotte Campbell. She was polite and professional and let me explain the totality of my experiences with regards to my referral concern. However, I again leave feeling unsatisfied with the guidance and treatment options provided. It felt like pulling teeth to explore alternatives to what I have already been doing/trying for 15+ years. And the recommendation wasn't any different than the one I received 3 years ago. I would recommend Dr. Campbell if you're having a hard time finding a GI provider taking new patients, but I would enter the visit with minimal/moderate expectations.

Called GSI office for a new gastroenterologist appt as I am from a different state and need a new…read moreGI doctor. They had Dr. Michael Farrell (surgeon- not actual GI Dr) ready to see me the same week or so. Not good when one of the more "experienced" GI doctor has you available very quickly but I was happy with that. Had to fight with anesthesia about not having a certain medication, because I have bad side effects from it. When I had my EDG procedure I was under (deep sedation) for less than a minute and he was done. I awoke with severe agitation and bruising all over my arms from the medication they gave me. Looking at the billing now he charged my insurance company for taking biopsies, for which he didn't even take any! It's in the report and I had an actual internist look at it and preform the correct procedure with biopsies. P.S- go to an actual internist if you want somebody to do something about it for you not a surgeon looking to cut you open and bill you ridiculous prices for nothing!!
