    Cheesesteak

The food has fallen off a cliff. From leathery chicken fried steak to an emaciated cheesesteak sandwich. I have been 3 times and the only time I enjoyed the food was right around their opening. The drinks are fantastic, but the food was frankly offensive and overpriced.

I would recommend Commonwealth for the ambiance and drinks. The food has been disappointing each time we've been there, especially for the price. We had a birthday dinner here, and sadly no one liked their food, mostly due to nothing being well-seasoned. Brisket queso fries- normally we look forward to these, but they were skimpy on the amount of fries this time. Brussels sprouts-too hard Chicken fried steak- nice portion but bland Honey hot chicken salad- chicken was hard and cold Honey hot chicken wrap-same Ribeye-good portion and cooked right, but bland WDC burger-bland I'll also add that I was scared to order an espresso martini here again, as the last time I got one was the worst I've had and when I told the waitress, she didn't offer to have it remade. TLDR: would come here to meet for drinks as I think the inside and bar area is so nice but will stop ordering food here.

Went for a Valentine's Day dinner. We were just passing through. It looks really nice inside- like luxury ranch type decor. Big bar as well. It was freezing outside and they sat us right by the door so we asked to move closer to one of the rooms that had a fireplace and they reseated us. The waitress was nice and attentive. Having pickleballs courts at a restaurant seems a bit odd but other than that the ambiance was nice and the food was 10/10.

Commonwealth is a boujee restaurant with three outdoor pickleball courts. It's a really nice concept. You can reserve courts online one month in advance. They have a good number of times that are automatically reserved though. It's $30/hour Monday through Thursday and $40/hour on Friday/weekend. They also charge $5 to rent a paddle, which seems pretty steep when you can buy a cheap pickleball paddle for $10. If they're using high-quality, expensive paddles for rentals, then maybe $5 would be reasonable. I am not sure if they are though. There are a lot of tables on the patio but very limited shade. We had to move from the table right next to our court to one on the opposite side just to get a little shade. We got some pricey appetizers that were pretty average and small portions. I was playing pickleball when they came, so by the time I came back, there wasn't much left for a good picture. We got the brussels sprouts, green chile queso, and flatbread. I don't really have anything special to comment on them. They were okay, but the service was good. I haven't heard stellar reviews about the food here. It just seems like mid American food. I would not come here to eat, but I like this place for the pickleball.

Cheers to a great Saturday night dinner date! BBQ cauliflower perfect! Mark had the chicken fried steak that never disappoints!

We love Commonwealth! Atmosphere, quality of delicious food and fabulous hospitality!

    Brisket fries and excellent.

We walked in on the soft opening to an impressive entryway with a highly polite staff. After three visits, we tried the burger, chicken fried steak and superfood salad. The Waygu burger has fantastic flavor but the bun is dense and takes away from the experience of the wagu and cheese. I'm sure they will work this out, but it is a shame how close they are to a great burger only because of the buns. The chicken fried steak has a nice sweet grave and is a joy. It's not a massive serving like most places, but it's a proper portion with tons of delicious flavor. The superfood salad has an excellent balance between sweet and savory. The portion size is perfect for a quick, healthy lunch. Overall, this is a great place, and I will see us eating with friends many more times in the future!

Wagyu Short Rib (after removing the mound of garnish)

We tried out Commonwealth tonight and really enjoyed it! They are definitely still having some growing pains but nothing that will keep me from going back. The food was delicious. I had the wagyu short ribs and my husband had the wagyu smash burger. We both cleaned our plates. The short rib had room to be a tiny bit more tender, but flavor was amazing. Mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts were perfect. The burger and fries were also perfect - great bun, great char, great crispiness on the fries. Service was super friendly. Everyone seemed to enjoy being there. I liked that there were little seating areas that seemed open for people to use while waiting on a table or if they were done with their table but wanted to hang with their party and finish their drinks. There was room to improve a few things. We were a party of two and they kept the table set for four the whole time. My drink and our waters didn't make it out until we were halfway through our meal. I saw a manager walking around, but I didn't see her check on any tables and she did not stop by ours. They have a pretty annoying fly issue, but do have fans on the table that do a decent job of keeping them at bay. The acoustics are NOT good. It's a big space with high ceilings so everyone's conversations echo. I think this place has a ton of potential and I'm psyched it's in the neighborhood. I can't wait to see how they continue to improve and try more of the menu! I do hope they don't keep the reservation-only thing going for too long. It's great that they're popular but it's going to be frustrating if you can't just drop in for a last minute date night.

My personal preference is for a thinner chip. Some like the thicker ones and try this place regardless of my chip preferences. I ordered the Steak Fajitas with Corn tortillas. Great portion size. The sides were portioned to complete the meal. I did ask for sour cream since the menu did not say it came with it. Well it did and the waitress did not let me know that and so I got charged for an extra sour cream. Not a big fan of refried beans, however that was what they had. They tasted good and I believe if you are a refried beans type, they would be considered great! The restaurant itself is modern meets industrial vibe. Cozy but not tiny. The staff could be a little more attentive or at least more personable. All in all, I would eat here anytime I am visiting the area and wanting Mexican.

He recommended the upstairs dinning room if you want it to be romantic evening. Agree 100% when we left you could hardly hear your self talking. They also have a nice outside area which would be nice in spring/summer time. Our waitress was Riley who has been with them for 2 years and was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was spot on the whole night. Had our drinks my wife the Appleton and I had Dewars and soda. Bartender knows their stuff and does not skimp. Appetizers were Risotto Tots, Very good, also to large crab cake with remoulade sauce, excellent. Shrimp scampi was excellent and very filling. They have a very diverse menu for varying appetites. Highly recommend eating at this establishment. 5 stars plus. Keep up the great work.

I was hoping it would be more intimate, but…read moredespite there being a few other open tables we were seated back to back to a large party. Since it's a small space and echoey, we could not hear ourselves over the group of people talking. Drinks: We started with the Queen Bee cocktail and a red wine. The cocktail was good but I didn't feel the mixture of flavors worked well for my taste. I can't recall the name of the wine but it was a nice wine to pair with red meat. Appetizers: we started with the fried green tomatoes and the Caesar wedge salad. The tomatoes were a little bland and came out cold (not sure if that was on purpose?). The wedge was good but was slathered in dressing which made it a little too rich. *Side note: I realized after we left that complimentary bread was mentioned on the appetizer menu, but I'm unclear if we had to ask for that...? It was never offered nor brought out. I decided against ordering the French baguette because I assumed there was complimentary bread. Entrees: I had the Ravioli Diablo and my husband tried the Sea Bass special that came with clams, mussels and lobster ravioli. The Ravioli Diablo was just OK, kind of a small portion. For the special, he liked the mussels but thought the sea bass was a little overdone. In hindsight, there was a lot going on with that plate; the ravioli was a bit out of place and it could've used a nice risotto or rice instead. Dessert: we tried ordering Creme brulee but they were out so we ordered the "brown butter" cheesecake instead...I'm including the description from the menu and a picture of the bare cheesecake loaf I received with no toppings (I took the picture after my husband took a bite). I'm actually most disappointed about this since I was hoping it would be the part of the meal to make up for the mediocrity of everything else. "Vanilla bean brown butter with candied pecans and soft whipped cream" Honestly I tried to be optimistic but it was overall not the experience I was hoping for. Especially for a $200 bill.

My Think Pink drink was good, but overpriced. They don't have prices on the cocktail menu, and this felt more like a $9 drink than the $12 it turned out to be. My husband's beer was very well priced, I thought, at $6.50 for an IPA. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It wasn't tossed in buffalo sauce, just unevenly drizzled on top so the full sandwich wasn't covered. He asked for a side of sauce to finish the job and we were charged $0.50 for it. He was also charged $0.50 for a side of ranch for his fries. In general, I just don't agree with charging for condiments. I had the Alehouse Burger and it was fine. It had a bacon tomato jam so I thought it would be okay without condiments, but it was dry. It needed pickles. None of the burgers on the menu had pickles. Burgers should have pickles. We weren't given a kid's menu when we were sat, so I thought they didn't have one (it's a pub, I get it), and I tried to just order a side of mashed potatoes for my son. Our server was cool with it and was able to ring it in (because she later had to take it off the ticket) but the kitchen told her they don't serve individual sides which is very odd to me. You have a button for it on the POS, you can serve a side on an entree plate, so just put that amount on a side plate. It seems like a very easy way to cater to your customers. The sun really shines through those back windows in the evening. Some pull down shades would be a huge improvement. It's a beautiful view, but not when the sun is setting and blazing into your retinas. Overall, food was mid, prices were a little too high across the board, service, as always, was great.
