Few of us visited to try it out and overall that make standard/good beer. Most brews were to…read morestyle. Small place and easy going staff. Wear Shorts Schwartz (schwarzbier) was good as was Coyotes Call (Dark Lager). Both easy drinking that the masses can enjoy. Oh, Rhinestone Kolsch Boy as well fit the same profile. All 3 chill beers. USA 250 (Strong Ale) hit a home run! Nice, smooth beer that would a "sneak attack" if one did not notice the punch hidden in the easily liked flavor profile. A nice surprise of the group. Smoke Signals Bamberg (Smoked Lager) was ok however it had no smoke notes; so while good as a beer, it was a style mismatch of sorts. Azacca Hazy (Single Hop Hazy) was ok. It didn't phone home and it blended into the mix. Good for the masses and maybe a pass for the hop heads in the group. Overall a chill place that is worth a try.

Tables are picnic type tables, wooden benches inside, there's also an outside area in front. We opted for inside because of the heat. Friendly staff, looks like a lot of regulars that stop in. Small area, so it can get loud pretty quick, depending on the kids present/folks on speaker phone.

For my 500th review, I present to you my favorite hang out in Central Texas that is next to my…read morefavorite barbecue spot in Central Texas. This is a family run establishment. It has been open longer than I have been alive. This is a very local hang out with many very close regulars. But they don't bite. As I am moderately amused by most things in life, I like the chill ambiance. Rustic with operational doors, soap dispenser and hand towel machine for the ladies restroom. Yes, that's a big deal. Things to know: 1) Beer only but.... 2) BYOLiquor and get charged a fee for it? Or there's soft drinks you can purchase? I have not really ever figured that out. 3) There is nothing over $4 and there is a Thirsty Thursdays discount. 4) The jukebox plays everything but be careful what you pick! Some songs just shouldn't be played here. 5) There is one pool table and it does get used. 6) They do gladly accept cash but you can pay by credit card. 7) If you're looking for barbecue, it's a tan building to the right of Honeycutt's as you're looking in from Airport. 8) You can eat your barbecue here. But you still have to go get it yourself, lazy. 9) Don't piss off the owner or the bartender. If you don't know. You better ask somebody! Or just try it out!

Michael, the owner, is always welcoming! It's always a good time at Honeycutt's. There's a reason…read moreit's been open for 71 years, and if you visit you'll understand. Great ambiance and good drink. Can't go wrong!

With similar hops flavor to Snake Farm IPA. Could be an IPA in some breweries as the overlap allows. Snake Farm West Coast IPA. A good brew that is easy drinking. Tibetian Popstar-Fruity Blonde. This is a hmm. Lot of creativity going on. Not the star of the trip for my tastes. Amber Dextrous-Amber Ale. WTH. Like a red with hints of molasses! Nice surprise of flavors. Interesting! Flat Penny Porter. Very good Porter. Could be a stout. More robust flavor and texture than the avg Porter. Solid brew. They can brew and a 4+ on beers.

So, I guess I have no other option than to publicly post my email message: "Hello Jacob, We are first time customers at this restaurant. Let me start on a positive note: - Shroom Burger and Garlic Fries were delicious! Now, for my disatisfactions: - We were at a 7PM graduation and needed a late dinner afterward. We chose your restaurant because you were open an hour later than others. No where on your website did I see any indication of kitchen closing a full hour before closing. Upon arrival we were told "kitchen closes in 10 minutes". - We quickly placed our orders and the marinara was the texture of water - INEDIBLE! I asked the server if they might have thicker sauce and her response was "probably not, kitchen's closed". An acceptable response would have been to double check and NOT serve substandard sauce to begin with! - I was drinking water. Forty minutes before closing the server took the three-quarter's full container and dumped it on the plants. I was planning to get more water! How about asking if anyone would like more before dumping. Basically we felt unimportant and not at all like valued customers. I am extremely unhappy with the service and plan never to return, despite the delicious food. Sincerely, DT
