Went here for our first date night in Temple away from our toddler and it was just what we needed. Chill vibes with the bar slightly to the side for people who just want to come for a drink. Lots of TVs with games on from different angles. Food is easy to order on a tablet. Indoor & outdoor seating. Staff greeted us and was happy to help and even asked how we liked the food. My husband and I shared the 8 piece wings and build your own nachos and they were great, especially the wings and fries. We got ground beef on the nachos, which was a bit dry, may just try a different meat next time. The food was served to us promptly. I wish I got pics but I am pregnant...so I dug right in. Women's bathroom was clean and spacious with a soft changing table if you brought your little one. Cleaning supplies were out so if you brought your kiddo in with you, that may be a hazard. It took some trial and error, but I have decided I love JNeely's. They kept tricking me with their carnitas, which made it tough at first. Their carnitas are not carnitas, they are bbq style pulled pork. If you order the carnitas thinking you are getting carnitas, you will be disappointed, but once your brain pivots to pulled pork you'll probably be like "okay this is pretty good" (assuming you like pulled pork). Anyway, since I've learned not to order carnitas, I've been very pleased! I love the variety they have! It's like kind of similar to Chipotle or Qdoba where you mix and match proteins/toppings/serving styles, but they have extra options like quesadillas and a "secret" (well-publicized) menu. They also have bar fare! This leads me to the "ambiance" as Yelp so classily words it. I have yet to eat in, but every time I pick up food I think about how much I want to eat here! They have a whole menu of "bar fare" and a really nice looking bar. Happy hour is Mon - Fri from 12-6, which is a lot of happy hours. I don't know if my 2 month old wants to hang out at the bar, so it might be a bit before I can update my review to talk about eating in, but I'm looking forward to it! I know it's probably not for everybody, but I have social anxiety and love the option to look over everything and customize my order without having to tell someone all my customizations because it always makes me feel awkward. Friendly atmosphere I had Beef & Chicken with Peppers and Onions with Avocado Ranch and Queso! They were so good. One of my grandsons had the Burrito Basket with Beef and Chicken and all the trimmings! It came with tortilla chips. 9/27/2024 my first time trying it out. I drive by all the time, and honestly it was a nice stop. This place reminds me of an elevated Chipotle, ( but JNeely's food tastes better). The restaurant is clean, very modern interior. Cute decor. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I ordered the steak tacos; comes with rice and beans in the price. I will say it is a very good price for 3 tacos INCLUDING rice and beans. Plus a drink, my total was $14. Not too bad. My food tasted great, it was stacked with all my toppings. I do wish the steak was chopped up a little more; cubes are hard to eat on a taco. The only real problem I had was the beans; it was heavily flavored with black pepper, but to the point where that's all I tasted. It felt like I was just eating black pepper out of a jar. I have been here a few times in the past and have enjoyed the food...in the past, not the present. I picked out the items for my burrito and also ordered wings because I never had the wings before. The food took over 20 minutes to come to the table, we were the only customers who ordered, and one table got their order before us. The burritos were huge and warm which was a good sign, and the chips and salsa were good. The burrito that I ordered was not the burrito that I got, items were missing from it. The pork carnitas tasted of pulled pork, smokey and that was the only flavor of the burrito, none of the other items on it had any flavor at all. Then I got my wings and fries, and they looked good...looked good indeed. I took a fry and popped it into my mouth, and it tasted of nothing but oil, no flavor except oil. The wings could have used a bit more sauce, but not too bad at all, looked meaty, and then a bite of it. The wing was so dry, it was like eating a stick, I had to have a drink to get it down. The next one was not as dry, but not good at all. I enjoyed the chips and salsa the most, and would not recommend the food here at all, unless you want quantity instead of quality. read more

So we've given this place a few tries and I've decided that on this final attempt I needed to post a review. I honestly hate giving a local business a bad review, but I'm hoping this will inspire some changes. The staff is never friendly. Now, they aren't rude per SE but they aren't inviting. It's difficult to tell who is running the restaurant and the overall aesthetic is just kind of awful. Once you get past that, the antiquated way of ordering your food isn't great. You write it down yourself on a small menu and submit it to someone at the register. While it's kind of unique, it's more so lacking in feeling like this place cares about its patrons. The food is delivered upon being ready. We had 4 people eating and everyone got their food at different times, none of it very hot. The rice in my burrito was crunchy and the over taste was bland. Believe it or not I will eat most meals without complaint, but I didn't even finish my food. That's a rarity for me. Honestly I just figured I would eat something at home later. To top it off another customer's small child spilled a drink near the entrance and the customer cleaned it up by himself. I'm all for accountability, but he's dealing with an upset child, so maybe some training in customer service is needed. This is my first review where I felt the need for a picture. I hate writing negative reviews, but I'm hoping this will help provide feedback for improvement. The first thing that turned me way off was the roach on the floor. Someone had stepped on it, but it was left on the floor. The burrito was large, but underwhelming in quality. The rice and meat were crunchy/hard, there was not a lot of flavor, and it wasn't even hot when it came out (the inside was barely warm). It wasn't busy, so I really don't have an excuse for the lack of appropriate temperature. Skip out on the dessert as well. It tasted old and gross. The food was awesome! Brisket was super tasty. The lady at the register was super helpful and friendly. The lady bringing our food to us on the other hand was not very friendly and seemed very inconvenienced at any question we asked her. The cooks were knowledgeable and helpful when we asked if a certain item had gluten. The ambiance was weird. The bar area seemed like standing room only. There was a huge table put together that said "reserved" but when happy hour ended like 4 people came over and sat at the huge table "reserved" for like 12 or more people. Not a huge dining area especially when one big table is reserved and only four people sit at it. There's an okay amount of two tops and four tops, but when you're a family of five and get snubbed for asking the server a question...makes for a bitter environment. The service is always friendly and the staff makes you feel like family. It's a bar and a "check the box" food establishment. Our order has been jumbled on the check the box part at times but it's usually with them putting better meat on our plates. We live nearby and frequent the establishment a couple times a month. The ingredients taste fresh and the offerings are good. Happy hour attracts is usual customers and finding seating can be a challenge. They have a very nice outdoor patio area and with nice weather I suspect it will be a pleasant place to eat. read more

We were super excited to eat here but upon ordering our food and paying, we noticed the cook eating in the kitchen where the food is prepared. He wasn't wearing gloves and COUGHED into his hands and went on preparing food. My mother in law spoke up about it and he actually asked "do you want me to wash my hands?" So if you're looking for a place where the cooks eat in the kitchen while preparing food, don't wear gloves, and don't have any common hygiene sense to wash their hands, then we totally recommend this place. James, the bartender, was nice and attentive. I ordered a ribeye burrito with a sun-dried tomato infused tortilla. It was tasty; but, the steak was grisly and the burrito itself was cold. The bigger complaint: my wife was served her dish about 10 minutes prior to mine. So, she attempted to wait so we could eat together; but, her taco meal also turned cold quickly. Really good burrito. I am a little surprised by the low star reviews. I will say that I ate here like 2:30 on a weekday so they were slow and didn't have pressure from a busy dining hall. Finally tried this place out and am really glad I did. The choices are selective but the food is great. Service was quick, enough time to get settled and get a drink from the bar. (I will say the high top bar stools just aren't big enough to sit on with out continually sliding off what seat area the chair does have; and I'm not a big person.) bottom line this place offers a great spin on burritos and tacos with fresh ingredients that taste amazing. I hate to give a one star anywhere but if you cannot make a margarita correctly and the food is sub-par and employees complain about the owner and management then something is not right. Margarita was made by pouring lime juice, tequila, and sour mix into a cup with ice and serve to me with a lime. (why it wasn't shaken I have no idea....) After that drink I didn't order anymore. Beer Selection - your typical generic beers. This is a small local town, I would expect some Texas beers, or even Bold Republic Brewing since its right down the road. The concept of this restaurant is novel and the flow is great. The options were fantastic and easy to understand. The salsa was okay not exceptional, the queso was good. I paid with cash to get the free chips and salsa but I have to say the chips and salsa were not better than the 3% I would have gotten back from my credit card. I didn't mind as I know that cash is better for the business and they did offer an option for cash, which was nice. We went when it was not too busy and our food took a little longer than expected as someone that ordered after us got their order before we got our food. We ordered two different burritos and they were good but left our stomachs unsettled for the evening and the next day. Whatever they used in their ingredients impacted my wife and I. I thought it was the queso which we both eat, however I did not eat all of my burrito and brought it home. My son asked if he could finish it and I said yes. He tried it but it was too spicy for him so he ate the remaining part of his mother's burrito. The next day he get just like us. There was something that did not sit well with us.
