Got my COVID shots here with nurse Darcy! She was amazing, as well as the customer service with the other employees.

Held for 15 minutes before anyone even picked up the phone! Not off to a good start. I won't even bother going here.

I'll address both office visits and surgery…read more The parking for any service you need is ample for anyone that needs to visit a doctor for whatever reason. I've found my appointments to be timely and I'm never waiting for long to see my doctor. The nurses are quick to get vitals and are completely professional. I'm generally in and out within 30 mins or so. When I meet with the doctors, they've actually reviewed my chart so there isn't much of a recap that's needed. For surgery I found the whole ordeal to be simple and devoid of stress. The one caveat I'll mention is if you're going in for a procedure, they require a friend to pick you up. This was a small problem for me as I was anticipating getting an uber home. However their policies, justified imo, are someone needs to sign out the patient and give them a ride home. So please take that into account if you have a surgery. The day of the surgery was smooth sailing. The front desk reports you to the right floor and the nurses are quick to meet you and prepare you for surgery. After scrubbing down and getting into my robe, I had a small wait as I talked with the nurses, operating doctor, anesthesiologist and finally to make sure payment via card and/or insurance is correct. The patient is asked several times what they're having done to ensure the patient consents to the upcoming procedure. I'm not good with surgery as it drives up anxiety. I was administered preop medicine to prepare my body and reduce stress. Once they got my IV flowing my concerns were diminished and I was out before the ride to the operating room. My surgery was a success and was almost to the minute that the doctor quoted me for surgery. I woke up in minimal pain but it took time to regain my senses. The nurses were right there taking care of me. Quick to address pain, give a status update and make sure I was comfortable. The next day I was in pain in my neck so I called the nurse. She reassured me it was part of the operation procedures and my medication address the pain as best it could. Overall my surgery was a breath of fresh air with no complications. All the staff was professional and prepared for my every need. I highly suggest using this facility if they offer the services you may need. I highly recommend this facility.

I had a very disappointing experience at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center's Emergency Room. My…read moredaughter was crying in severe pain from what appeared to be a migraine or severe headache, and before deciding whether to check her in, I simply wanted to ask if the hospital had the appropriate equipment and specialists to treat her condition. If not, I was prepared to take her elsewhere. Unfortunately, the receptionist, Jessica, was on her phone when I approached. When I asked my questions, she was rude, dismissive, and spoke in a condescending tone. Rather than showing empathy or helping us understand our options, she responded, "This is an emergency room hospital," in a way that made it clear she didn't want to be bothered. As a parent with a child in tears and obvious pain, compassion and professionalism matter. Instead, I left feeling like my daughter would not receive the care or attention she needed. Because of that interaction alone, I made the decision to drive 40 minutes from Kyle to Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin. The difference in care was night and day. From the moment we arrived at Dell Children's, the staff was compassionate, attentive, and made us feel like my daughter's well-being truly mattered. I understand working in an emergency department is stressful, but there is never an excuse for treating worried parents and children with such a lack of empathy. First impressions matter, especially in healthcare. I sincerely hope Baylor Scott & White addresses this, because no family should feel discouraged from seeking care due to the attitude of the person greeting them.

She was provided with an iPad to sign in, but required assistance, which the two ladies present, Annie and Valencia, were unable to offer. My mother returned later with my son, who assisted her. I contacted your office to obtain the names of the receptionists involved and was told that Annie and Valencia were the staff members on duty. Annie mentioned that there were many patients waiting, which was inaccurate, as only two people were in the waiting room. Patients requiring medical attention may want to consider alternative options. The customer service provided was inadequate. Upon my mother's return, Valencia was too busy conversing to acknowledge her. They need customer service training and should probably find a different field to work in! 0 stars

When I arrived Wednesday they had to get the manager on the phone and find the girl I talked to the other day. They then told me I misunderstood what she said and would still have to pay the co pay. I then walked out. Completely unprofessional.

There is a ballad waiting to be written - something along the lines of Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's…read moreRestaurant Massacree" perhaps - about this woman who is strong, obstinate and disturbingly determined. The ballad should also be about the place that heroically enabled her stubbornness and resolve. Here's the raw data, and wildly, every bit of it is true. I pieced it together after speaking with about a dozen people. 10 weeks after having undergone two heart procedures, my nearly deaf 93-year-old mom sets out on her own for an adventure. Her goal? The scrumptious lox bagel at Mary's Cafe. She missteps exiting the car and... kaboom! She falls and breaks her hip. She is literally across the street from St. David's Medical Center. A kind man rushes to her aid. Together, at her command, they get her BACK IN THE CAR. SHE DRIVES HERSELF ACROSS TOWN AND GOES HOME. There, she realizes that she can't get out of the car. She is half in-half out. After ten minutes, an innocent passerby in our quiet residential neighborhood hears her bleating plea and - again - at her command, helps get her back in the car, whereupon mom DRIVES HERSELF ACROSS TOWN AND BACK TO ST DAVID'S. It took three nurses and the manager of concierge services to extract her from her old beater Honda - the one with manual door locks - and it ended up in valet parking alongside the Porsches and a Ferrari. Mom would go on to have a nine inch nail inserted in her hip and spend two weeks at St. David's, one week in the Medical Center and one week in St. David's Rehabilitatiom Hospital. Here she was treated with dignity and compassion by every single person we encountered. And there were tons of them. Every effort was made to make her feel comfortable. Cozy even. The staff made her laugh. Encouraged her. Listened carefully to every word she said. Her in-house doctors watched over so thoughtfully. The physical and occupational therapists helped her to understand that she *could* meet her goal of regaining her independence. Yes, there were times when a nurse promised to bring her something and then forgot, but really, things couldn't have gone better. The food? Not too shabby, and if you are a visitor, there are alternating pop up caterers for things like sushi, Indian and Mexican food, every week day. Parking? Free if you're over 65. Just scan your driver's license instead of your parking stub. And my mom's old beater Honda rubbing shoulders with the glamor cars in Valet? I drove it out myself... free of charge.
