They are slowly growing their business, but currently offer a variety of treatments. I went in for the first time on a Saturday morning to try out the IR Sauna with salt therapy. Their entrance/lobby area is beautiful, comfortable, inviting and relaxing. I was greeted right away by the owner, checked in, and signed the waiver. While waiting, they offer coffee and cold beverages such as bottled water, Lacroix and San Pellegrino. I had time to chat with the owner about his business and how it got started. Ironically enough, the person in the IR Sauna when I arrived, was no other than our Community Manager Nikki! So we chatted while the room was switched over. Upon, entering the IR Sauna room located at the front of the business, I was instructed on different controls, lighting options, changing/dressing options, and music preference. The Sauna itself is an enclosed sauna within a small room. You have the room to yourself and the door locks. You are allowed to dress as you wish inside the sauna, and they provide you with a towel and a robe. There are 20min and 40min session options for the sauna. There is also light therapy offered for the sauna, with a sign on the wall describing the benefits of each color of light. Unlike a traditional steam sauna, you do not sweat as much and can last longer inside the IR Sauna. For my first time, I lasted 18 min before I needed to open the door and step out for some cooler air before returning for the last bit. Currently, single IR Sauna sessions are $25 for 20 min and $40 for 40 min. But they offer package deals for the IR Sauna: 10 sessions (20 or 40 min) is $150, 5 sessions is $100. Unlimited sessions are $100/month. And you can add on a salt boost (which has essential oils and a stronger salt content) for an extra $10. If you are unsure about this service, you can try out a 20min session for $1! The restroom is very spacious and clean, offers hair ties, gum, and mints.

Julie kept my facial simple by washing it, doing extractions, using a steam machine, using this awesome light tool that zaps bacteria on your face, this awesome gel moisturizer that she said would hydrate my skin much better than my current moisturizer, retinol she had recommended for me (it was an evening appointment so she got my face "ready for bed" - yay!), and more. She also sent me home with a few Skinceutical samples that I'm excited to try. Super excited to go back and use the new products she's recommended for me. If you've never gotten a facial before, I HIGHLY recommend going at least once, because the products you might be using in your daily life could be worsening your skin without you realizing it. They advertise a lot of cosmetic procedures so that seems to be their focus over medical dermatology. We went there for one main reason: they were able to get my teenager in the very next day for an evening appointment. I had called another dermatology group (Dawes Fretzin) and they had a 2 month wait for an initial visit. There were a couple of problems with this visit but the main one I think about now is that the PA should have done a visual exam of his skin but he didn't even have my son take off his shirt to see if there were any skin problems overall. They didn't really ask about family history either and both grandfather and uncle had basal cell carcinoma, a non-melanoma cancer spot on my nose ( common type) which were both surgically removed eventually. My teenager is probably ok because he gets tan so easily every summer but that doesn't excuse that lack of due diligence or excellent care. The visit with the PA was personable and he seemed to know acne care. He and the nurse were very friendly and helpful. He prescribed 3 things and placed the order for those online. There was a program or service I'd never heard of. I did have to register for the final mail delivery service but the best part was that these were at no extra charge since insurance covered it. They seemed to do this a lot. Within 5 to 7 days we got a box delivered to the door. That was nice. We arrived a little early for the appointment and were not told that the PA would not be on time. (Their chalk board said they were on time.) After 15 or 20 minutes of waiting I asked about it and it wasn't much longer before they got us back to the exam room. For our purposes for this issue this practice was fine. For acne and other aesthetic procedures I'd probably recommend. But for any other skin concerns I will make sure to see an MD or go to another one.
