This is a very good service. Its pricey, but then again if your dog has significant separation anxiety or other issues its almost a must do to get him/her help. A lot of the suggestions that Yody Blass provided were things that I was already doing, just not sure they were right. In addition, she provided other suggestions that have so far been just what my dog needed. She's still terrified when she sees me leave, but she's better about me coming back to her when she's been in my bedroom away from where she can see me leave. Its been less than two weeks since Yody came and assisted with seeing my dog in action. I'm impressed thus far. Sure, I'm sure there are people who say the fee is too much. But I guess it really depends on how much you want to help and love your family member. Dogs and other pets are more than just a family pet, they are a part of the whole family. Based on the information I received, plus the 2 months of email and phone contact, I feel this isn't a huge price to pay to help my dog and best friend, have a better and more comfortable life. Give this place a try if you are really serious about your pet/family member. Its something you are going to have to work on. They can help and support you, but its ultimately on you to work with your dog or cat or some other animal to reinforce and keep working on the advice Yody gives you. Pamela Uncles was in our house for 2 hours and it completely changed our relationship with our rescue dog for the better. Our new 3 yr-old foxhound from the Humane Society was my wife's first dog ever, our family's first and my first in over 20 years. He was a normally pretty laid back pooch, but he had a serious separation anxiety issue and did not know how to communicate well with my wife when he needed to play or go out (usually resulting in aggressive behavior). Pamela was able to see him in action and was able to give us a short, mid and long term plan to get our dog and us going in the same direction. Since then, he has been able to be left alone for short periods of time with no damage to the house and we know how to deter his aggressive behavior before it starts. Could we have read books and developed our own plan? Yes, but it would have taken a lot longer to research and put the plan into action. Also, our hit-or-miss plans would have been less informed by experience and probably would've been more miss than hit. Pamela's years of experience made comparatively quick work of how we should attack this issue. Her post-consult communications (two-months of e-mail communications are included with the price) were invaluable as we hit plateaus or road blocks and she helped us get to the next level. I wish I had read this YELP page before I contracted with Yody Blass. She came to my home, spent 2 hours with me and my dog, observing and filling out a form, gave a "diagnosis" of what I already knew, and then didn't do any follow up. She gave me a copy of the form, and that was it. $450 for nothing! And It's embarrasing because I had just moved to the area and was trying to get referrals, and chose someone based on their "resume". Big mistake. read more

I do not believe that our cats would have integrated as quickly and as well if we had not had Pamela come into the home and provide us with a "hands on" evaluation. We were at our wits end and her advice/expertise helped us greatly. We actually engaged Pamela on two different occasions. The first time was 9 years ago. We brought Fennel into the house as a kitten and Jasper, 6 months older, was acting aggressively. Pamela showed us techniques that we then implemented successfully. Then a couple of months ago we had her back when bringing Lucky in with the other two. Lucky was a borderline feral stray that wandered onto our property from the woods next door. I reached out to this organization and started working with Pamela to address my 7yr old dog urinating in the house. She diagnosed separation anxiety. She spent a lot of time in her visit with us, learning about my dog, his habits, his personality. She walked through some tests to see how he responded and ultimately provided an array of recommended actions for us to take to begin desensitizing him to separation. I've been meaning to post this for months now. Pamela worked wonders on a difficult case! I have two cats who don't truly enjoy each other's company - they barely tolerated each other before working with Pamela. Additionally, the male, Mavs, has feline hyperesthesia syndrome and what we now know as pretty bad separation anxiety. Mavs for years, when he lived with a family member to now living with me urinated outside of the box for no distinct reason. He didn't have a UTI, was already being treated with anxiety meds for the hyperesthesia, and was well loved. When I moved him to my apartment with his sister, he continued to urinate on the bathroom carpet, my bookbag, my jacket, etc. Completely out of ideas - having used feliaway, cat attract litter, the highest dose of his anxiety meds, and lots of calls with my vet - I called Pamela. After her in home consult, where she spent ample time with me and the cats, she gave me a list of recommendations - including xanax for him when I travel - and instructions for improving my relationship with the cats, their relationship overall and Mavs' separation anxiety. It's been 3 months and there has been a drastic improvement - the cats get along better, they're calmer, there have been no peeing incidents and Mavs is more comfortable with less time on my lap. This is an investment; it's not inexpensive. But when you think about it, the amount of money I spent replacing bathroom carpets, on urine destroyer, on vet consultations, etc., it was worth it to have happier pets. I highly recommend Pamela. She constantly checks in on you and asks for updates. The more information you can give her, the more she can help. Especially if it's a case where you've tried everything you can think of and have talked to your vet and are at your wits end. Working with Pamela was a great experience. Per the recommendation of our vet whom we've known and trusted for many years, we hired Pamela Uncles this past spring to come to our home and observe our 2 female dogs. Mercy is a 2 year old Staffordshire bull terrier and Riley is a 1 year old black lab mix. Both are very high energy, playful and sweet.They had been together in our home for approximately 4 months. After a series of concerning interactions between the 2 dogs, we were desperate to learn how we can help them adapt better to each other and establish their roles in the pack. Pamela has been a miracle worker! We have two cats, one of which started spraying about a year ago. We had extensive work ups done at the vet to check for urinary or kidney disease, etc... He was put on two different medications (one for anxiety and one for bladder cystitis). The meds helped some, but not completely (he was still spraying a couple of times a week). We were at our wits end and decided to give a pet behavioralist a try. After the in home consult, we implemented all of Pamela's recommendations and we noticed an improvement (still spraying, but less). After about 2 weeks of frequent conversations with Pamela and trying additional methods, our cat has completely stopped spraying. It's been 3.5 weeks so far with absolutely no spraying, which is incredible! This service is a financial investment, but it is less expensive than replacing carpet and furniture that has been destroyed by cat urine.
