TO: Dr. Paula Sommerville, Karen and Susan in the front desk, and the countless technicians that have been so helpful since day one (it's been about a year) -- thank you. Everyone is on the same page and full knowledge and helpful tips. Pet care is expensive, let's be honest. However, I find CVH to be less or equal to what you would pay anywhere else. The main difference is the care they put into you and understanding your pet. That is something you can't buy in healthcare. My two doggies can be difficult. They don't fancy the vet and I'm horribly fearful of their anxious behavior negatively reflecting on my ownership, but CVH are compassionate pet people. They anticipate anxious buddies and do the most to make them feel safe (excitedly praising, gauging animal nervousness, properly handling them). It's not just a business, they care. I cannot stress that enough. Sometimes they'll forget to trim my furrier pet's inside lil "thumb" nail, but they're always kind and quick to rectify a situation. Today my Havanese meanie Ollie barfed up a flea and tick treatment I give him every three months. I was ready to cry. It's something I have to financially plan for, so I tried to salvage the medicine since I had given it to him about 1-2 minutes prior. He wasn't having it, and I don't blame him one bit. Perhaps he was just excited for a treat, the medicine is formulated into a single beef chew and he may have gotten too excitable. I called to get a new one, ready to scrap my literal last pennies and Karen places me on a hold, returning to tell me that they would give me a new one for free. I just asked if I could purchase a new one and am floored by the kindness. I know for sure anyone else would have just charged me a second time, or called me negligent. CVH just feels like home for us, and we're a long long way from there. Thank you to the entire team! Here are my two meanies for reading tax.

wonderful service from the moment I arrived to the end. We got a new pet suddenly when a neighbor died unexpectedly so we knew nothing about him. The doctor answered all of my questions and concerns, a plan was made regarding the weight problem and a follow up appointment was made. The doctor even called that night to go over blood work that was taken. I found the prices not bad at all. Dr. Paula Somerville will now be our forever doctor to our other pets we have.

I took my pug to cvc to remove a mass on her leg. When she was out of surgery, she came into the waiting room and was then rushed out by the staff because of other dogs who were coming in for an appointment. It was very stressful. My dog came home And for the next 3 days her paw was extremely swollen. I took her back to the vet where they said they removed the stitches so that the blood could flow easier. During this explanation, the vet had no personal space and repeatedly told me that this wound would heal regardless of how we treated it. After a few days, my pug started to get an infection so I took her back where they charged me for antibiotics and an extension on her pain meds. During this visit, the staff was whispering back and forth and looking at me. It was very uncomfortable. A few days later I had to return to get my dog's staples removed. And as soon as I went into the vet, I was met by the staff who rushed me out and said that the waiting room was too full. Once those two two customers left, the staff never told me I was allowed to come in. We had the staples removed, and a few days later looked and she was infected again. This was because they left a staple in there. I refuse to go back there ever again because of how rude the staff is, how incompetent the vet seems and how disappointed I am in the level of treatment.

First time here, since COVID we have to stay outside. The dr was extremely informative and the girls were polite and kind to my Bebe. This is Rockys new vet for sure

Right after surgery when they got home. :) happy kittens.

My kittens were very well taken care of during their visit. Companion veterinary hospital went above and beyond my expectations. Flea medication, spaying, nail clipping, and more. I love how you will receive text message updates if you opt in. Thank you all, very much.

    Horrible Vet Office.

(READ EDIT!)Only leaving one star cause i have to. horrible office. and HORRIBLE receptionist. has an attitude with anyone who walks in and laughs at you instead of trying to be helpful. when you get frustrated they bring everyone out to talk about it like teenagers. horrible establishment. ‼‼EDIT: I wrote this review directly after the situation and was very frustrated. Now that it has been a few hours and I feel better, let me give a full rundown of events that happened at this establishment so there will be no more lies about what happened on their part. I walked into the office, not yet realizing i had put the wrong time for this vet appointment into my phone. A receptionist named PENNY WITKOWSKI comes up to me and asked how she can help me. I replied like any normal person and said "I have an appointment for noon" (in a normal calm tone) instead of letting me know politely i had mad a mistake on the time and they don't take clients during those hours, instead she laughed at me, and then in a condescending tone all she says is "no you don't" and obviously I am very confused as i thought that's when my appointment was. Then still with an attitude asks the name, I give her the name on our account and she looks at the computer, laughs again, and in the same tone says "your appointment was at 11:30" at this point I am very frustrated, not with missing the appointment time but with the way i have been treated during this occurrence, especially since this is not the first time i've received this treatment from her. So then all I say is oh ok, and I go to leave. She then decides to use her customer service skills and understanding and says she is sorry, at this point I am beyond upset with her, I came in just trying to get my dog help and instead i got a condescending attitude for making a mistake on the appointment time. This was the one and only time I voiced my frustration with her the entire time during this occurrence and i said "sure you are, with your B***hy attitude" (as i was walking out the door, door closed behind me as soon as i finished that statement) NOT ONCE did i use the F word and NEVER told her to "f off", and I was never a threat to her or her safety, I walked out as soon as she told me I was late! Yes I could have handled myself in this situation better as well but this establishment is 100% at fault for this woman's actions and defending them! And when I was out in my car after they looked out their window at me, an actual vet came outside and started yelling at me telling me to leave RIGHT as i had just gotten into my car (trust me I wanted to leave just as much as they did) I am a 19 year old girl. If anyone felt threatened in this situation I did. All i did was try and take my dog into a vet appointment and instead I was just embarrassed, scared, and very frustrated that i was going to trust these people with my dog. And one last thing, this woman is so unprofessional she took to her personal facebook posting her (lies) about what happened! Someone tell me why she still has a job here?? I've seen multiple bad reviews on here about her and she makes people feel stupid and uncomfortable talking to her! I hope this gains a better reply from this office because the one I have gotten is so far is just ridiculous. (would also like to point out they have not had a good yelp review in over two years, hopefully photo proof helps from them continuing with these dismissive responses they give everyone because my next step is a complaint to the BBB!) :)

Healthy Pets is in a separate building across the driveway, where all surgeries are performed Yesterday I took Max in for his dental surgery. I was rather concerned about the anesthesia, so was quite relieved to receive a phone call after the surgery telling me that everything had gone perfectly. Several hours later I was able to bring him home having had two extractions. Aside from the spot on his leg that had to be shaved, when I got home and let him out of his carrier, one wouldn't even know he'd just had surgery. After 20 years at another vet practice, I'm so glad I moved my cats care to this vet practice. I've found the staff at both buildings, efficient, caring, and totally professional. I was given detailed written post op. instructions in addition to verbal instructions and any questions I had were patiently answered. For those that don't know Healthy Pets is the canine practice and surgery, while Oly Cats is where you take your felines for normal service.

We thought the initial (almost $600) visit was handled correctly: we got a health certificate, and they provided a written prescription for Clavamox, advising us to wait for lab confirmation before administering the medication. We got a call to start the 14-day course of medication, which we had filled at a separate dispensary before leaving the United States. Unfortunately, we later discovered Pinehurst *only prescribed HALF the required course of antibiotics!!!* We are now stuck in Whitehorse, Canada, having to postpone a long driving day to Tok, Alaska, to coordinate with a local veterinarian that was willing to provide us with the remainder of the medication we should've been prescribed by Pinehurst. We just needed Pinehurst to email the details and confirm the Canadian clinic had everything they needed to dispense the medication. Unfortunately, when Pinehurst initially emailed the Canadian clinic, they DIDN'T include the prescription details. Pinehurst also told us their clinic's telephone system would not allow them to make an international telephone call to the clinic in Whitehorse, leaving us responsible for correcting another problem Pinehurst created. Given the urgency of the issue and their responsibility for this entire situation, why wasn't someone willing to use their personal phone to make the call? The repeated lack of basic follow-through caused significant stress and disruption to our travel with a sick cat. Would not recommend if you need reliable care or cross-border support.

TLDR: got a bully? Don't go to DuPont Vet…read more From visit one with my rescue, we were mistreated. He was an untrained dog who needed care. I spent thousands on training. Nonethless, each visit we were treated as though my pup is something to be feared. I worked diligently to support him, providing treats and a muzzle as needed. I took the staff feedback yet I always felt like they did not care and were afraid. Feelings are not facts so here are some facts: He presented with allergy issues. I started cytopoint at $275 every 4 weeks. This totaled over $3,000. He was having paw issues. Never was he given a cytology. I continued to bring him every 4 weeks for care with no improvement. My concerns were dismissed from every staff member I encountered. I saw another vet and he was immediately tested and turns out he had staph. In his paws. Which required an extremely high dosage of antibiotics for 3 weeks and a prayer that his staph was not drug resistant He also had a significant reaction to anxiety medication for pre vet care. I describe it as doggy psychosis and detailed the scary symptoms. When I reported my concerns I was dismissed and in fact told to double the dose. In a text. From a Receptionist. No call. No concern for his well being despite me calling and asking for a call back. When I stated I would not give those meds again I was told pre vet med was not optional and I should consider a mobile or other vet. No asking how he was doing, is he getting better or offering care. I met with the hospital manager. She listened and affirmed my concerns. I appreciated her time. I checked in a few times and was told it was being investigated. More than 7 weeks after my initial meeting I was given a response via email that stated I did not share any concerns and that his staoh could have been uncontrolled allergies. There has been zero effort from corporate to rectify this, only blaming pet and owner. Yet again this team is dismissive and unprofessional. Never will I ever recommend this vet for any pet care. It is disgraceful and shameful the way I and my pet have been treated. The greatest disappointment is this vet center used to be exceptional- my previous dog had amazing care under the previous vets.
