Dr. YOSHI is the best vet ever ! Very thorough and caring. Extremely clean facility and excellent staff. I can't say enough good things about Dr Yashimoto. He is very intelligent and knows his stuff ! Thankyou Dr Yoshi for taking good care of my boxer, LULU!

    Our Girl Lyric

Our dog was in such pain Saturday morning we called Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital and they made arrangements for us to bring our dear girl in Noon that day. She was suffering from bone cancer and the only solution, for the insufferable pain, was to euthanize her. Both Dr Lisa and Vet Tech Tami were very comforting to our dog and very gently put her at ease and ready to make the transition. We are eternally grateful that HPVH was there for us in the very difficult situation. As much as we did not want to lose our wonderful dog we knew there was no other choice. Thank you everyone there for being there for us! Jay M. P S GREAT ++++++++++

My Dog thought the place was ok. They helped her with her ear infect from eatting grains . The funny part of the visit is that while there she panted more in that time then she does most days beacuse she was nervous. Sucked down water like she would never see it again. They do good work we will be back.

    Riley ready to travel!

I'm surprised to read all the negative reviews. I've been taking my dog Riley, to Hawks Prairie vet for about 3 years now. I love to travel and often bring Riley with me. Every time I had to make emergency appointment to meet strict international travel deadline, or when I was so lost with Hawaii's pet travel policy, Hawks Prairie team really helped smooth out the process for my family. I've taken Riley to Korea several times and to multiple other states, and each time, Dr. Hiebert & Natalie (and basically the entire clinic staff) really helped me so much. I highly recommend Hawks Prairie vet to anyone who needs extra detail oriented care team for their pets! They are SUPER organized and prompt with emails & inquiries.

Phoebe. This was taken at a different emergency vet.

The best vet we have ever been to. They are a bit more expensive than other places we've been, but you get what you pay for.

Healthy Pets is in a separate building across the driveway, where all surgeries are performed Yesterday I took Max in for his dental surgery. I was rather concerned about the anesthesia, so was quite relieved to receive a phone call after the surgery telling me that everything had gone perfectly. Several hours later I was able to bring him home having had two extractions. Aside from the spot on his leg that had to be shaved, when I got home and let him out of his carrier, one wouldn't even know he'd just had surgery. After 20 years at another vet practice, I'm so glad I moved my cats care to this vet practice. I've found the staff at both buildings, efficient, caring, and totally professional. I was given detailed written post op. instructions in addition to verbal instructions and any questions I had were patiently answered. For those that don't know Healthy Pets is the canine practice and surgery, while Oly Cats is where you take your felines for normal service.

We thought the initial (almost $600) visit was handled correctly: we got a health certificate, and they provided a written prescription for Clavamox, advising us to wait for lab confirmation before administering the medication. We got a call to start the 14-day course of medication, which we had filled at a separate dispensary before leaving the United States. Unfortunately, we later discovered Pinehurst *only prescribed HALF the required course of antibiotics!!!* We are now stuck in Whitehorse, Canada, having to postpone a long driving day to Tok, Alaska, to coordinate with a local veterinarian that was willing to provide us with the remainder of the medication we should've been prescribed by Pinehurst. We just needed Pinehurst to email the details and confirm the Canadian clinic had everything they needed to dispense the medication. Unfortunately, when Pinehurst initially emailed the Canadian clinic, they DIDN'T include the prescription details. Pinehurst also told us their clinic's telephone system would not allow them to make an international telephone call to the clinic in Whitehorse, leaving us responsible for correcting another problem Pinehurst created. Given the urgency of the issue and their responsibility for this entire situation, why wasn't someone willing to use their personal phone to make the call? The repeated lack of basic follow-through caused significant stress and disruption to our travel with a sick cat. Would not recommend if you need reliable care or cross-border support.

    Dupont Veterinary Center

TLDR: got a bully? Don't go to DuPont Vet…read more From visit one with my rescue, we were mistreated. He was an untrained dog who needed care. I spent thousands on training. Nonethless, each visit we were treated as though my pup is something to be feared. I worked diligently to support him, providing treats and a muzzle as needed. I took the staff feedback yet I always felt like they did not care and were afraid. Feelings are not facts so here are some facts: He presented with allergy issues. I started cytopoint at $275 every 4 weeks. This totaled over $3,000. He was having paw issues. Never was he given a cytology. I continued to bring him every 4 weeks for care with no improvement. My concerns were dismissed from every staff member I encountered. I saw another vet and he was immediately tested and turns out he had staph. In his paws. Which required an extremely high dosage of antibiotics for 3 weeks and a prayer that his staph was not drug resistant He also had a significant reaction to anxiety medication for pre vet care. I describe it as doggy psychosis and detailed the scary symptoms. When I reported my concerns I was dismissed and in fact told to double the dose. In a text. From a Receptionist. No call. No concern for his well being despite me calling and asking for a call back. When I stated I would not give those meds again I was told pre vet med was not optional and I should consider a mobile or other vet. No asking how he was doing, is he getting better or offering care. I met with the hospital manager. She listened and affirmed my concerns. I appreciated her time. I checked in a few times and was told it was being investigated. More than 7 weeks after my initial meeting I was given a response via email that stated I did not share any concerns and that his staoh could have been uncontrolled allergies. There has been zero effort from corporate to rectify this, only blaming pet and owner. Yet again this team is dismissive and unprofessional. Never will I ever recommend this vet for any pet care. It is disgraceful and shameful the way I and my pet have been treated. The greatest disappointment is this vet center used to be exceptional- my previous dog had amazing care under the previous vets. Selling to a corporation has been a massive decline in quality of care and staff.

Our 1st visit was about 2 years ago, I made new patient apts for our 2 pups to get the whole sha bang, we just moved to be area and they were very close to our home. The front desk staff was horrible. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Rude. Didn't acknowledge my presence when walking in at any of our apts. I had to literally walk up and say hello.. no greeting. No good morning. Just take a seat. Ok. Our first appointment the boys got there wellness checks, 2nd shots, they 1st visit stuff. No problem. We were told we should return in a few months to have them neutered, I advised we felt waiting till they were a year would be more appropriate for their development. Vets dismissed my feelings on that, said it was the standard time frame. Ok. The tech came back into give me the estimate for care, again she was SO nice. But she told me I had to pay the past due balance on the account. I said what balance? I paid the $40 deposit they required for scheduling a new patient visit. X2 since I have 2 pets. She said no it looks like it's from a previous visit. I was obviously confused because it was my first visit. I explained that to her and she went to go speak to the front desk about it. I get it, mistakes happen, but when I went to pay my actual balance witch was right about $560(estimate) the same front desk lady who I'm sorry just seems to really hate her job was all annoyed that I questioned the bill. I made sure to check that the "past due balance" was removed. Then she was rude that I didn't have my actual care credit card and just the info on my phone. She literally ripped the phone out of my hand. I thought maybe she's just having a bad day. And left it at that. A few month go by and I needed to take one of the boys in for a tummy ache, same front desk lady put me on hold for 10 plus minutes, hung up and I had to call back, no Oh I'm sorry or anything. I just needed to make a standard apt, I said anytime on Thursday or Friday. I wasn't being picky or rude. She says YA I KNOW. Ok The last apt we had was the worst, I had to bring in my boys at the same time, stressful for me. One of them almost choked himself a few minutes before our apt so I was really upset. He was fine got his head stuck in the gate of the kennel. Anyway I came in solo and checked in. Said I have both boys out in the car is there anyway I can have a tech help me bring them in. They were fine but there was a full house of big dogs in the waiting area, no place to sit or stand. And I didn't want to try and wrangle my anxious boy with my I love everything dog at the same time. I arrived early we had time. The front desk lady was so nasty. Same lady each time. "Well I'll have to ask" ok that's fine. I literally said if they can't it's not a problem would just be helpful. The very nice tech ended up coming to help me and there's wasn't any issue. Front desk can make or break a practice and after multiple times of just being met with rudeness and just the bare minimum we won't be coming back. Compassion goes a long way and I try to remember that, but you reach' a point when you say OK this person just is unpleasant.
