    Crab and avocado
    Lydia L.

My brother and I had the pleasure of dining at Disfrutar the day before, and they recommended that we try Compartir before we left town. We are so very glad we did! We started with a couple of cocktails--the Diablo and the Sant Jordi. I was in love with the Sant Jordi; my brother felt the same about the Diablo. I really appreciated that they gave us the option of a half portion most of the plates, since there were only two of us. It gave us the opportunity to try several dishes, and every one was delicious. 1) Oysters with black garlic - awesome. If you haven't had oysters in Spain yet, try these (or any other preparation of oysters on the menu). 2) Crab and avocado - It is so easy to see why this is one of their most popular dishes. So delicious and creamy that I wanted to lick the (very cool) bowl. 3) Veal carpaccio - My only issue was that I was incompetent at rolling it up and I wasted some of the foie. But so so so yummy. 4) Pullet egg with potato and truffle - This was the only dish where I wondered if there was a better option. It was very good, but with so many choices, I'd probably skip it. 5) Ham croquette - Sushi grade tuna on the top of a croquette??? Just wow. So so so so so so good. 6) Seafood rice - It's not paella! But it was awesome. The seafood is all cooked to perfection, and I loved the slightly crispy rice. For dessert, we had the hazelnut and apricot one, which was absolutely perfection and paired gorgeously with a glass of ratafia. But all of the other desserts also sounded awesome, so who knows if that was the best choice! All told, we walked out the door after a world-class meal for two for under 150€. Incredible!! P.S.: If you come here without having done Disfrutar, and if you can stomach paying 50€ for a few bites, the caviar brioche, paired with the truffle vodka is one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life. Trust me.

During our second evening at Compartir restaurant, we were once again captivated by the incredible food and service, prompting us to return on our final night in Barcelona. The ambiance is wonderfully pleasant and relaxing, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. The spacious seating arrangement ensured that we didn't feel cramped. Our meal included the following outstanding dishes from the menu: 1) Beetroot Salad with "Ajablanco" sorbet 2) Tomato rustic bread 3) Endives with pesto, hints of kimchi, and pecan nuts 4) Longline hake tempura with fennel and seaweed salad 5) Grilled T-bone steak with garnish 6) Veal carpaccio with Port, foie-gras, and idiazábel 7) Catalan-style grilled ECO chicken with Catalan-style garnish

Heinous experience. Do not dine here! Food quality is terrible, if your looking for over cooked cold lamb with salty "mix greens" and chewy tortillas for 50€ this is your spot. I informed the waiter of the cold lamb, he took the dish, brought it back 3mins later, same dish with simply Lukewarm sauce and still a cold piece of lamb. Wine service, is a joke at best. Not exactly sure what is the definition of MICHELIN good meal is. Because sadly to say this is not it.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Cañete was booked out for 2 weeks straight, so we decided to risk it and see if we could get a spot as walk-ins; and were lucky enough to want less than 5 minutes before being sat at the "bar" in front of the open kitchen, which is honestly the best seat in the house IMHO. You get to see all the 'action' and interact with the friendly and often funny staff. Everything in the menu we tried was fantastic, but a few standouts for me were the squid sandwich (do yourself a favor and try it, even if you aren't a "squid person" the bread is fresh, and the butter garlic sauce they use should be sold in bottles at the supermarket), the lobster croquet was refreshing, and the aged beef steak with foie and truffle sauce was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Gorgeous Cave-Like setting right in the heart of The Gothic Quarter. For food we got: - both Peach and Red Sangria's - maybe the best in Spain. 15 Euros so not cheap - Pan Con Tomate - first time having this dish -- great, - Iberian "Pluma" Acorn Fed Pork - so tender and amazing! - Cod (Bacalao) - perfectly baked I must give a shout out to our amazing waiter LUCAS who spoke excellent english and gave some perfect recommendations. We got here at 7:30 and it was quiet -- but quickly filled up and was totally full by 8:30. It's more expensive than most restaurants but for that you get quality service, superb food, linen napkins, and soft jazz music. We wanted to come again the next night but it was totally booked! Trip Advisor rates this as #57 (as of May 2026) but I think it should be in the top 10. Book a table early guys -- this restaurant will not disappoint you!
