Its location in Westlake makes it convenient for a visit while picking up food or groceries; however, the westlake parking lot can be pretty full given the number of the stores. The booksellers are very friendly, quick to ask if you need help finding a book or offering recommendations. As for price point, there is something for everyone! They have a free shelf of donated used books, resale of used books, as well as new hardbacks and first edition signed copies. From one book lover to another, you will not regret stopping by.

I was looking for something to buy my boys as a glad to be back with them gift and truly there isn't much in Terminal 3! But this book store had a very large selection of kids books, comic books, some card and other games. I like to buy my boys books! I enjoy reading to them and them reading period. As some one who could not read at all, and didn't even get found out until the third grade, I think reading is essential. I struggled with dyslexia as a young man and still do today... I feel it is very important for everyone to read as much as they can! You have no idea what it was like when I could read! You don't know what you're missing until you experience not being able to read! I can't wait to give them these books tomorrow.

This place is like for book antiques or if you need a used copy of something that might be a few years back. Selection is pretty wide, the books genres are organized in a neat way but the books themselves are scattered. For example, the fiction and nonfiction adult books are alphabetical order by last name but the children's books are not. It made things harder for me to look but I didn't mind since I had time. I've attended many wonderful events at Fort Mason's Festival Pavillion and now another. They were all buying books - imagine, in 2018 - courtesy of the Annual Big Book Sale which benefits San Francisco's Public Libraries. This book sale is gigantic. When you enter (free of charge) you're given a map and you'll need it. The space is huge and filled. Literally, there are too many books here for me to get my head into. I went first to the "art" books and got a bit lost in the sheer volume. Then I made my way to "cookbooks" and almost ran back to "art". There's a lot to digest here. Mercifully, "graphic novels" had a smaller footprint as did "games". I made my way over to "comics" then to "LPs" and then to the checkout where I purchased 2 books as gifts for my son. It's easy to spend a lot here (hardcovers $4, paperbacks $3) but the cause is good so spend away. Thoughtfully, there's shopping carts at the entrance so if you want to walk around with 100 "maybes" before whittling down your actual purchase this helps. Well organized (as one would expect from librarians), this massive book sale is for those who still enjoy the act of turning paper pages. Amazingly, this tribe still exists and they're my people.
