Window a/c unit 10,000BTU cools house right away to 80-81. Big unit$5,000 plus $1,200 maintenance program vs $300 for window unit which works 3 x better. Locked into yearly checks for $100 or I will lose the $1,200 fee for noncompliance. Don't waste your money. Worse decision I ever made was to go with air source. They insist it's all my fault and / or the thermostat is broken. Nope. Have had it checked. They come out but never fix it. Product is just inferior. Period.

When he came out, he immediately said the compressor was bad and probably wasn't covered by the warranty. When I started to push back as to why it wasn't covered, he said there was a few things that he could try to see if it would fix the problem. He suggested to install a hard start and a surge protector. Then he looked at the unit and said it needed a deep cleaning because it was too dirty. I asked how it could be dirty since it hasn't been running that often (this was a second home; we live up north). Jerry said that we're in a dirty area and the unit pulls grass into it when the lawn is cut. The unit is about 3 feet in the air! Long story short, we reluctantly agreed to the repair and told him that we will be leaving in a few days, he said that was no problem and would schedule the service. The service never happened, and we told him that we didn't want any work done while we are gone. I texted him to cancel the service and he agreed, also said that he would refund our money. After weeks of back and forth with him where the refund check was, he apparently blocked me. No more communication and NO REFUND ISSUED. Don't trust this guy, we will hire a reputable company to look at it when we return. Yelp has my house location wrong! It is near New Port Richie, FL
