Compared to 5 days of parking at SFO, it's still cheaper for the car service one-way. And if budgets are tight, I can always take BART home. The important part is getting to the airport with no stress. So I'll give you a couple of my secrets to enjoyable airline travel. I drove to the nearest DMV and the people in line were waiting for four hours and not close to being processed. I remembered YoGov and decided to use them for my appointment.Their web site states: "Save yourself from those dreadful lines. Book an appointment in seconds." and my time is valuable so I have no problem paying $14.99 to get an appointment. Well, there is a catch, my friends, and it is a big deal. YoGov is constantly just scrubbing government websites trying to find appointments and they cannot promise any results. Here is the rub: pay for something that is intangible, not guaranteed, and impossible to discuss with the vendor. The web site is clunky and super limited. The limited options include: ASAP; after 3PM; or before 10AM. There is no way to pick the DMV that they send you to. And the worst part is that this business is mechanically harvesting open time slots making it even harder for people to get appointments. ________________________ Now to address the comment they made, which I have a major issue with. "1) We don't harvest any appointments. When you submit a request our team begins to look for an appointment for you just like a personal assistant would on your behalf." They do not mechanically harvest appointments for non people to reserve, however they do harvest appointments for people like me that will not use them resulting in a reduced supply of appointments, this benefits their business. This comment is false, harvesting appointments is their business model. Additionally, the problem runs deeper. It appears like I missed an appointment and I do not like my reputation compromised. The second problem is that appointments are hard to come by so they took the appointment away from a person that did need an appointment. "2) We refunded you for the original charge and added a credit to your account, although it looked like we had the official confirmation but the DMV's computer system had an issue. " This is untrue. The DMV did not generate the email that I received, it came from YoGov. There is no way that the DMV just booked a random appointment for me, sent that to YoGov who then transmitted the appointment to me. "Your satisfaction is always guaranteed!" I am not satisfied, so the guarantee is worthless. "3) I think you may have gotten a reminder for an appointment that was still in our email reminder system, unfortunately, and that's what's caused the latest confusion. " So instead of owning the issue they are blaming this problem on a computer. This goes back to the point of this review, their system is the problem. You can tell a lot about a business by how they manage problematic situations. You can see here that they have not managed the problem, but they just made up excuses. They even went so far as to try and refute the fact that they are harvesting appointments. That is exactly what they do.

The staff is very friendly, and the airport has a good selection of bars and restaurants. The only frustrating part is that the bathrooms are sometimes closed for renovations or cleaning, which means you may have to walk to the other side of the terminal to find an open one. Overall, Oakland International Airport is convenient and easy to navigate, and I've had consistently positive experiences there.

David immediately replied briefly and unhelpfully, "Los Altos is not covered by the coupon. But we can pick you up anyway at full cost + gratuity." We replied stating that we are in fact in Cupertino, and that we'd be willing to walk 30 seconds to a Cupertino address next door. We asked if this would be OK (we'd probably need to walk 30 seconds to the front of our apartment complex anyway) David again replied with nothing but a brief, unprofessional "sorry no". This should have been an easy sell and easy repeat business for SuperLimo as we fly from the SFO airport all the time. I could understand if David couldn't take the extra step to meet us at our Los Altos address, but there was no reason for him to refuse our business to the Cupertino address, especially after we had been polite and understanding. His emails were extremely short and unprofessional, and I am glad we did not have a Cupertino address listed in our first email so we did not have to deal with him in person. He quoted $10,000, cash only and half paid now the rest upon delivery and guaranteed that my belongings would go directly from my old home to my new home within 3 to 22 days. He said it would only take longer if our items were not the only load on the truck which they were, so delivery would be within the week. Kevin assured me not to worry about packing mirrors, pictures, or bedroom furniture because their crew would handle it. He even gave me his "personal" cell number, promising to always answer if I had questions. Three days before the move, I got a call from Steven saying they had my moving date listed six days later than planned. Luckily, I had built in extra time. But then, he told me they needed to charge for all the items Kevin said they'd pack for free -- adding $20,000 more and wanted half in cash upfront. When the movers arrived, they showed up in a small panel truck, not a semi. They said they needed another truck to fit everything and demanded $3,500 more in cash, or they wouldn't take my property. I was also told my items would go to a warehouse until they could find a semi to deliver them. I could not reach anyone from Safe Ship after that -- not Kevin, nor Steven. Some of my property that was included in the original quote was left behind. Three days later, my belongings finally arrived -- in a huge semi driven by one man, who refused to drive up my wide driveway, claiming the truck couldn't turn. I told him to drive straight up, but he refused and demanded $2,500 more in cash to rent a smaller truck to shuttle the items from another location. Safe Ship told me if I didn't pay, they would keep my property. I asked him if he was going to have any other movers come help him and he said no one showed up and couldn't find anyone off the street to help. The single driver spent 16 hours unloading. He wouldn't let me near the garage to count boxes, saying I was in the way and he wouldn't continue if I interfered. If anything was missing or broken, I could file a claim. Later, I discovered several items missing and my 55 inch television screen shattered. When I filed a claim, it was denied because I didn't report the missing items "at the time of delivery." This was a total disaster. Either this company is completely incompetent or they know exactly how to scam customers. Avoid Safe Ship Moving Services and any moving brokers. Go directly through a company that owns its own trucks and crews. You'll save yourself thousands of dollars and endless stress!
