Had great service from Taxi services I've used in the past, but this is not one of those times. I called and reserved a Taxi on a Monday to pick me up from Brisbane for a ride to Oakland Airport that upcoming Saturday. Even called Friday the day before to confirm the reservation. Next morning the Taxi was almost an hour late. I missed my flight to Southern California and had to wait 5 hours on stand-by to catch the next flight. The driver was very apologetic and I didn't blame him. It was Yellow Cab who failed to get a driver out to me on time. Worse stress and anxiety I've ever experienced from missing my flight because that had never happened to me before. I learned my lesson. I won't use these guys again. read more

Cab arrived in a reasonable amount of time and the drivers were all good drivers and could ballpark the fare within a couple bucks. When you use this company, put your maps on. My driver went the scenic route which cost me another $15. I then called dispatch just to let them know what the driver did. If zero stars were possible, I would give Peninsula Yellow Cab -5. Was forced to use this cab company through way.com parking. On my first ride (to the airport), the driver was texting while driving. I'm talking multiple texts back and forth, not just a quick look for directions. My experience attempting to be picked up from the airport is described below. Much the same as everyone else who has reviewed this company, I scheduled a pick-up in advance and had to call and ask for a status update after the car was 20 minutes late and I'd heard nothing. Was yelled at by the dispatchers- they lied and said the taxi had called me. We did this dance back and forth for about 30 minutes with multiple people supposing to have called me (phone logs don't lie). At one point they just stopped answering their phones and I was left with no other option but to call an Uber because they never actually sent a cab. If you have extra hours to waste and love to fight with assholes on the phone- this service is for you. Seriously, what's with the one star reviews? I had the best experience with this company. They rescued me from the wilds of Brisbane after an unfortunate shuttle mishap from Balboa Park BART. It was really my own fault for missing my normal 8:50 shuttle to my office at Sierra Point, and erroneously assuming that all shuttles that go to Brisbane would go to my office; how big can Brisbane be, I thought? I found out, and it was a valuable lesson. Long story short, I ended up on the direct opposite end of where I needed to be, across the Bayshore Freeway, in an industrial area devoid of sidewalks and civilization, filled with meat-packing plants and restaurant supply companies. I'm pretty sure a lot of illegal operations exist here too. I'm stranded with my purse, giant laptop bag, and shoes that nobody should have to walk more than 2 steps with, or it would violate some type of Geneva convention on torture, I'm pretty sure. Too proud to call anyone for a ride, I start dialing cab company after cab company, only to be told "we don't go to Brisbane" -- um, HELLO, why is your name Brisbane cab then??? Desperate and convinced I'd end up murdered, found in a landfill somewhere, I called Peninsula Yellow Cab. They picked up right away, and a friendly dispatcher asked my location and if I was ready to go. Never been readier. In 10 minutes, my chariot arrived. My driver was polite and friendly; and to my delight, they take credit cards, since I didn't have cash on me. Drivers are reliable and helpful with my luggage and were always giving me the fastest way to go. The people were nice and quick and sent me a cab right away on a Saturday night at 1am at a weird location. THEY DESERVE absolutely ZERO stars for this HORRIBLE Cab Company!! I've had so many unbelievably bad experiences with them!!! I had a dr's appt at kaiser so i took bart to ssf & then was gonna take a cab to go up the hill (it's the loc off of junipero serra) - i arranged for the cab to meet me there... the guy (who was BEYOND RUDE) said "20 mins" .... 20 mins pass by, no cab, i call - he said he would be there in 5 mins... another 25 mins pass by... nothing!! i start to walk to the starbucks, cancel my appt, & had a co-worker come pick me up... when my co-worker showed up 15 mins later I see the cab drive by... really?!?! AN HOUR for a 20 mins wait?!?! That was my 1st of bad experiences... i live near Skyline Blvd and it's quite a trek from SB Bart. I got to the station after a Giants game & called for a cab to come. She gave me the "20 minutes" message & so i waited. I see a cab pull up & as I'm walking over to it this male couple gets in!!! As they're making out in the back seat I tap on the front passenger side window - and tell the cab driver i arranged for this cab. And he goes "WHO ARE YOU!?!?" & i go "Megan." & He goes "Oh, yeah, you're on my list to pick up. But they're already in here. Sorry." And drove off!!!! I was PISSED!!! Here it is nearly midnight - i'm the only person at the station & a woman at that & he just drives off with 2 guys who DIDN'T call to make the reservation?!?!?! She said she's sorry she couldn't do that but to call when I got there & she'll send one right over. So I get to SB BART & call as soon as I step off the train. The same lady answered and she told me 45 MINUTES!!! WTF?! So I explained to her that I had just spoken to her. So,the other day I was going home early to pick up my sick infant daughter from daycare. My husband informs me while I wait for BART that he drove in to work and I should hail a cab to the daycare. I call the cab company immediately in my attempt to save on some waiting time. The lady on the line rudely informed me that they do not take calls from public transit! What if I hadn't told them that I was at the station and would be reaching South City in 25 minutes? So,I try calling some of the other numbers listed on yelp and guess what?The call gets answered by the same fricking lady! So, I decide to wait to reach South City before making the formal call. I reach and call and am told,to my utter frustration,unapologetically, that the cabbies were going thru a shift-change and it would be 'sometime' before the cab turns up! I try to tell the lady that this is the exact reason why I was calling 25 mins ahead,earlier,but she would have none of it! I wait for a good solid half hour before I call her back only to hear that it'll still be 'a couple of minutes'!!!! By now, we are nearing time for closing of daycare and I start to panic! I called the college kid who usually picks up the little one and she saved the day! Grrrrr.....have used Peninsula Yellow twice to go from Pacifica to SFO - a 12 FREAKING MINUTE DRIVE!!!! Think that they can manage to get a reserved cab to my office at a reasonable time? Nope. On both occasions, they were given a full day's notice to get a cab to my doorstep. The first time I was notified 5 minutes AFTER the cab was supposed to be there that they were still looking for someone to pick up my fare. The second occasion? I was contacted 13 before scheduled pickup to see whether I needed a cab or not -- at 2 minutes before pickup time, I was notified by the cabbie that he was in Burlingame and on his way, but that he would be 10-15 minutes late. Okay -- no big whoop. 20 minutes post pickup, I'm called by the cabbie and told that his POS chariot had overheated and that he couldn't complete the fare. Result? Two extended stays at SFO short term parking. Do yourself a favor -- hire a car service...they're dependable worth the extra couple of bucks and the removal of travel-related stress from your life. read more

The last three times I've asked you to pick me up, you've been 10-25 minutes late. For a girl that is the queen of cutting it close, who is traveling approximately 8 minutes from pick up location to airport terminal, I know how much time I need; when you play by the rules that is. You're late. I call. I'm always told, "they'll be there any second." Minutes tick by. No sign of you. Today you made me miss my flight. By five minutes. And I can't help but think that if you weren't 15 minutes late picking me up, I wouldn't be sitting in the terminal waiting an hour for the next flight, angrily Yelping you.
