Wow was I not expecting this family friendly, worldly helpful coffee shop! Look up their website for more details, you don't need to read my review in which I may mistake exactly their goals and helpful charitable deeds. Overall, solid coffee place. Lots of parking and even more seating. The space itself was great. Don't even get me started on the play area for kids. My wife and I were super surprised when we walked in and there was a whole area for the kid to play! This made our journey here even more enjoyable as we got great coffee and our son got to play with the toy coffee cart. Perhaps it's an advanced training program for youths? They get kids onto playing with the coffee cart to see how good they are and then it's a direct feeder program into becoming a barista? Possibly. Anyways, cappuccino rating: 4/5! Really solid! Dirty chai tea latte: 5/5 for the wife! Play area for the kid: 10/5 he loved it and didn't want to leave! Loved stopping in this shop and seeing all the speciality and signature drink flavors available. I enjoyed the iced pistachio white mocha but with all of the different flavors, can't wait to keep trying more. They also offer a 34 oz bucket which looked fun for the serious coffee lovers! read more

Decided to try this local coffee spot and was not disappointed! First off I absolutely love their mission! This coffee house was started to help employ those affected by homelessness! That's an amazing cause! The staff when we walked in were so warm and friendly! It was as if you were walking into a place where everyone knew you, and that was a very welcome feeling! They also made sure to say goodbye! The space is a decent size for a coffee place. There were multiple tables and a couch to sit and enjoy your drink/treat. There was a little corner for kids to hang out as well! They also have records, so.many.records. that you could choose from and play! Very cool! My boyfriend got a regular hot latte and I got the fluffernutter latte with a substitute of oak milk iced! (They have dairy free options! Love that!!) We both agreed they were delicious! Not overly sweet on the flffernutter. Starbucks count your days because I'd rather support this local spot and it was equally if not more delicious!!! We really enjoyed this spot! I got to try out Anoka's newest coffee shop with a friend today, and I was certainly not disappointed! I love a good Cold Brew, and the Toasted Cold Brew from Compassion Coffee certainly earns a spot high up on my list. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. They even carried my drink out to me and apologized for almost overfilling the cup with heavy whip. Too much cream is literally never something that I would complain about, it was truly epic. The interior ambiance felt very modern with a lot of neutral colors, and a bright pop of blue from the coffee bar. There is a good amount of table seating so there was plenty of space even during a moderately busy time of day. They also have a nice couch area and a space geared towards kids. If you're a coffee lover I would certainly recommend checking this place out! read more

Loved this adorable coffee shop! We stopped in on a Friday morning and we had excellent service! The toasted cold brew was so good. We also had a cake pop and bacon, egg and cheese bagel which was also very good. The best part about this coffee shop, they have a neat play area for kids! This is a great coffee shop. Always looking to try a new place, my child and I stopped in while in the area. When we saw the the fluffernutter latte (pb and marshmallow), we were excited. We were both going to get it, but I decided to try the toasted cold brew (cold brew with a s'mores theme). Both drinks were very good, but definitely are flavor rich. If you like a coffee forward drink with a hint of flavor, this is not for you. The service was great and there was a lot of seating inside. It is much larger on the inside than I thought. I'm something of a coffee shop devotee, and after trying a lot of places in the Andover/Coon Rapids area I've settled on Compassion Coffee as my regular. It's unpretentious outside, but the ambiance inside is quite nice, with plenty of seating and a kids' play area for families. It's usually pretty busy on weekends, but I've always been able to find a place to sit. The coffee is excellent, and although it's expensive it's about average for local cafes. The food I've had is reasonably good too. Service is excellent, and the staff are always friendly and pleasant, and they don't mind how long you stay. I highly recommend if you're looking for a place to catch up with a friend or just work on school for a while. read more

Service was great! I ordered an iced vanilla oat milk latte and it was amazing; I am very picky with my iced lattes but this one was absolutely perfect. My family got several hot lattes, and while the flavors were good, the milk in all of them was poorly steamed, lots of big bubbles and not that smooth, velvety foam you expect. Aside from that, the shop itself was wonderful. They have plenty of good seating and even toys for kids! It's such a nice, chill place to unwind, whether you're by yourself or with children. I'd definitely come back, but I hope the milk steaming improves for the hot drinks. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted the bucket iced coffees today. Made the drive to Compassion and I walked in while he stayed in the car with our sleeping baby. Upon walking in, I noticed that the lights were off and nobody was behind the counter. Spotted a man sitting on the couch (possibly the owner?) and I asked if they were open. He said they were closed on Sundays and Mondays. I apologized for walking in not realizing they were closed. (The doors were unlocked even though they were closed because someone was working on the bathroom). He asked what I wanted and offered to still make the drinks for us even though they were closed. It was most definitely appreciated as we had a rough night of sleep from our baby being up most of the night. I didn't catch his name, but we were super thankful that he offered to still make our drinks for us. Great customer service! read more

It starts with the people running the place. Always there for you as you enter the building to greet you and take your order. Of course this is no ordinary coffee shop. This is one which Pastor Rob Bergfalk started to help the homeless of Anoka. They make great coffee at a good price. While I personally do not drink coffee, my wife and daughter love it there! read more
