I'm glad I found this place! It's really lovely. Tucked into a modest suburban strip mall, it has all the warmth and coziness you could possibly expect from a little independent coffee shop. The latte I got was something-something-bon-bon, sorry I don't remember what it was called but I loved it. Quite sweet, which I like, but not so much as to hide the coffee. I also got one of those "Gourmet Pop Tart" things I've seen at some cafes lately; I got the last one of the day and it was still plenty fresh and tasty. The service is extremely professional & knowlegable and the dining area is like a library, tons of books and magazines to peruse. This is a beautiful coffee shop and I think you should go hang out there.

Today the coffee tasted awful- burnt. I let the staff know but they didn't really acknowledge it. I paid for a refill and tried the light roast this time- it wasn't much better- I couldn't finish either cup. I think having coffee sit in the carafes makes it less fresh. I normally like this coffee shop- they have a cute ambience with books and games. Update: the manager reached out and made things right! Wonderful and kind

Stopped in here after a recommendation from a friend. This little gem is tucked back into a little strip mall. I got a ziigwan sugar maple and it did not disappoint! There was a great selection of different coffees on the menu. They also have some baked goods to purchase as well. Barista who helped me was super welcoming. They had a decent amount of tables to work at if you'd want to work remote as well. Definitely will be back again!

Love this little coffee shop! It's tucked away in a little suburban strip mall and has a simple, spacious interior that's great for working or just hanging out. I was very impressed by the Gimiwan Latte which has amaretto and ube but tastes like the silky-smoothest vanilla latte ever. Can't wait to try out the rest of their menu! Food options are limited, some snacks and a few baked goods.

Love that they have lots of seating indoor and outdoor, wifi, a big parking lot, and lots of drink options. I stopped by to do some work and it was pretty quiet but a lot of people stopped by which means they have great drinks and food! I got their Aurora Chill drink and it was refreshing! They also had lots of book for you to read and games for you to play with friends. I would definitely come back with friends for a chill hangout.

Makwa's the kind of shop that you might find in a big city or near a college campus, but it's in a strip mall in Roseville. Ample parking, excellent coffee and tea drinks, and the laid back welcoming vibe I love in a coffee shop. It was later in day when I visited, so I ordered a decaf coffee, which was surprisingly tasty. I don't often order decaf at coffee shops because it's usually bad, but not the case here. Excellent choices for tea as well, and I finished with an herbal. The only downside of this shop for me is it's too far to make it regularly, but when on this side of town I'll be back.

Came back today, another Friday afternoon and it was pretty empty. Lots of space and very friendly staff. I had the ube drink which I have no clue what the name is, but it was very delicious. Would definitely recommend trying it iced!

Great coffee shop located in Roseville. I loved that the decor was all upcycled materials. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but they sent me in the right direction. I ended up getting a latte that they recommended and it was delicious. I will be returning.

Very cozy and cute coffee shop. I really appreciate how there was a huge parking lot shared with other businesses around the area. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato with oat milk which was smooth and overall okay- I would have preferred it sweeter. Overall, I think they have a good amount of flavor options to make different coffee drinks including non dairy milk alternatives which I like. Oh one thing to note- their iced drinks only comes in the bigger size, 16 oz. I also got a berry pop tart which looked better than it tasted as it was kinda dry- I would skip it. Their bakery/snack options are pretty limited but that's fine. Also seems like they close around 4pm or 5pm most days which is pretty early for me as I'm someone who likes to hang out at coffee shops but I also get it because it's kind of in a seclude spot and probably works better for their needs. I would come back and overall would rate it a 3.5/5.

A cozy coffee shop in the small Hamline Shopping Center. There is plenty of parking in the oversized lot. My weakness is large windows and they deliver with clear views and plenty of natural light to work or just glaze in your hazy reverie. There is a fireplace, in rememberence of the original Caribou shops before they went 'Chicago'. Service was quick, there was no line, but at least there were smiles from behind the counter.

I also loved the individual task lights above the smaller tables. It's a small detail, but it made the space feel really thoughtful. The only downside is that there isn't much natural light, so the cafe can feel a little dark, especially toward the back. The staff was the biggest disappointment. They weren't rude, but they came across as pretty standoffish, which made the experience feel less welcoming than the space itself. I ordered the light roast coffee and, unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. That said, the menu is huge with lots of different drinks and food options, so I'm sure there's something on it that would be a much better choice. I'm sorry Jason. You really had my hopes up when you were talking about Betty and Earl"s biscuits…read moreon your show but you've proven to me once again that unless you were raised in the South or by a Southern transplant you don't have a clue about baking soda biscuits. A good southern biscuit is hard to find in Minnesota. In my house they are served warm. and soft, usually fresh from the oven. A dab of butter melted inside sets them off perfectly. If a restaurant in Minnesota says it has Biscuits and Gravy I can't resist trying it only to be disappointed over and over again. That being said, KFC and Hardee's both have a good biscuits. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with frozen Pillsberry Grand Buttermilk Biscuits. Not the ones that come in a tube. So why would I go to a bakery in a mall that opens at 11 to get a biscuit? I trusted Jason. He sounded so sincere. Huh! Big mistake, I should have checked out his genealogy. The actual place is in the food court in the Rosedale Mall and the sign says, "Seeet and Savory by Diane" . The first warning was seeing the biscuits on a covered cake tray like you might stack doughnuts. These people are bakers after all not cooks. So, we wait for the lady at the counter to finish helping the person in front of us and then we asked for biscuits and gravy. The lady walks over to the sign and shows us the little sticker they added that says, "Weekend's Only". I was already wondering why anyone would start serving breakfast at 11. While we were trying to figure out if that applied to every item on the board or just the biscuits and gravy another customer got in front of us. We decided to ask for biscuit and egg sandwich's and a cup of coffee. Well, they only make one craft of coffee a day and when it's out it's out. If we wanted coffee we were told we need to go to the Brew and Waffle concession a few feet away. Alright no big deal, but over there no one's behind the counter and I am baffled as to what is going on. It doesn't seem to be self serve but there is a young lady sitting at the counter eating. Finally she gets up and acknowledges me by telling me she's on break but but since I'm there, she'll help me out anyway. She made it very clear that I was inconveniencing her. Well then, put up a closed sign or a "Back at 1pm" sign. Let's just skip on to describing the biscuit sandwich or more precisely the $10 (the sign said $8 I think) biscuit sandwich. The biscuits were big and thick and yellowish in color. I wondered if they added cornmeal to the flour. They had a gritty texture but not as gritty as cornbread. Ok, next time we'll try Betty and Earl's Minneapolis location. And Jason, spend a weekend south of the Mason-Dixon line and learn a little more about biscuits. Damn! I'm so sorry! I forgot to take pictures.

Ordering from the website is easy; you can opt for curbside delivery, and once your order goes through you get an email with instructions to call them when you arrive. There is a handy little parking circle by the main entrance to Potluck; that area gets plenty of traffic but your call with a friendly B&E's person will ensure that they find your car among the group. I got the biscuits with sausage gravy the first time and the pulled pork open-face biscuit thingie the second. Both were really good. The sausage gravy was a great, meaty brunch item, and the pulled pork was really delicious. Having piles of shredded BBQ pork on top of those thick, freshly-made biscuits was a unique experience. As long as you don't mind getting your fingers a little messy - and if you're eating pulled pork then honestly what do you expect - you just form a pile on one of the biscuits and hold it by the biscuit as you snack it down. There will be leftover meat that you can eat with a fork. I got yummy fresh cookies both times as well, and ended up full and satisfied. One issue I have with the website is that there isn't a description of the entrees, so you don't necessarily know what will come on them and there's no option to request, for instance, "hold the pickles". But that's about it; I really like the food I've gotten here and will keep it coming.
