Adding new information: This business is unethical. My insurance company talked to them, and the…read morereason why they sent me the brand I didn't want it's because it's CHEAPER! The pharmacy would lose money if they send me what I requested; however, if that's the case, the pharmacy should communicate with my doctor's office from the very beginning not until the last minute when I reached out. Now my medicine will be delayed for more than 4 days. This business basically doesn't have ethics and only cares about money. Avoid this business if you could. This pharmacy sent me a substitute generic brand without my consent which is birth control. - if you are a female you know how each generic brand works differently. My gynecologist office places the prescription with this pharmacy so I don't know the details but I specifically said I needed Xulane patch, not Zafemy. The worst part is that there's a guy named Luis who's racist and rude. After I tell him my name which is a foreign name on the prescription, he had an attitude against me. He using inappropriate language like "I'm not repeating my name to you" "there's no further discussion" "I'm in charge." This guy cut me off a few times and never let me finish my desired solution and doesn't have a can-do attitude. All he did is "there's nothing I can do for you, is your doctor's fault" So ladies, avoid this racist place that substitutes your birth control without letting you know. And don't let a rude disrespectful man who is not even able to get pregame tell you all the birth controls are the same!! Ridiculous!

They have a great staff so hopefully that won't be changing! I hope they will consider bringing back some of those lines in the future but, for now, probably best to call ahead if interested in those items because that side of the business seems to have gone away.

I have actually been to this location several times, just never opted to write a review as there is…read morejust not really much for me to say. I mean, it's a Walgreens. Unless something incredibly horrific were to happen like the RedBox machine exploding before my eyes, what is there really to say? I should probably also clarify that I am almost never on any prescriptions, so I have never used their actual pharmacy itself. I work with several pill poppers, and at the office I hear them bickering in the break room about pharmacies the same way catty women would about shoes. Since I am not involved in that whole lifestyle, I do not have much to add about the level of service for Wallgreen's in that regard. I typically stop in for odd's and ends types of purchases when I am too lazy to want to drive to one of the bigger places as this location is extremely close to my apartment. What others have said about it being in an inconvenient location is right on the money. The corner of Golf and Barrington is a zoo at times, which makes it a frustrating voyage if you go during peak times. Their is a stop light for both entering and leaving the location at least, which is a big plus for this area. One of the most annoying aspects of driving in the Schaumburg/Hoffman area is the amount of businesses that do not have direct access to them from the opposite side of the street. This basically forces you to have to drive to a stop light and do a U-Turn. Lame! So this place is actually a cut above average when viewed from that perspective. This location is also open 24 hours, which comes in handy when you are a night owl like me and have a sudden urge for a Hot Pocket.

You try to call them to confirm and you are on hold for 30 minutes just for someone to hang the phone up on you. You go to the pharmacy just for them to say they never ordered it? You ask what happened and they can't even offer you a human response beyond just a customer service response. Holy hell.

I WAS able to find crutches here AND a wrap for his ancle but what I didn't realize was that I had to check the height of the crutches... so I ended up buying crutches that were too tall for my dad. I called the shop right away and talk to the what I assume is the pharmacist. He was also the guy who helped me check out so he remembered that I was there earlier. I was afraid he was going to tell me that there was nothing he could do, as the girl who pointed out the crutches to me did mention that they were non returnable... but he was so REASONABLE and even though he didn't have the height that I needed, he ordered the right height and had them ready first thing in the morning the following day!! He let me do an even exchange... and he made what I thought was going to be dreadful non returnable experience.. a simple pleasant exchange. I felt the need to write this long review about my experience with this pharmacist because people like him are hard to find. In a world we're people tend to be... lazy and would rather brush you off with "there's nothing I can do" and "we're out of stock, sorry".... finding someone like him in today's world is always an amazing experience and a breath of fresh air. Someone who genuinely cares and want to help in which ever way he can. I said Thank You a bunch of times to him but I just wanted to say it one more time. Thank You I recommend you get medicine for yourself or a loved one from this place if you want to get it from someone who genuinely cares.

The pharmacy doesn't necessarily seem like they added to staff, but they are acknowledging people in line (inside and in the drive through) more quickly. One thing that slows down the pharmacy, particularly the drive through, is when people ask for other merchandise other than prescriptions. While I'm sure this is a good service for those who use it, if you need a prescription, it lengthens your wait time pretty significantly. I wish Walgreens would reevaluate this service and have people go into the store to buy merchandise.

How can Walgreens, a store built around a pharmacy, have the pharmacy closed when the store itself is open?!?!? I have had poor experiences in the past here, but this beats all!!! The store itself I would not rate high overall and then to have the pharmacy closed and not be able to pick up your medications?!? The only saving grace I can say about the pharmacy is that there is a veteran pharmacist there named Laura that has helped a lot, but otherwise the rest of the store and the decision to have the pharmacy NOT open 7 days a week are awful. If you can utilize another "drug store" near you it would be a very wise decision.
