We started using Bolt Medical Transportation service mid-April 2025…read more First priority was to get my spouse to her kidney dialysis sessions 3 times a week. But then with complications with the portal/catheter placed in my spouse's body to get the dialysis process to work we had to go to a surgical center multiple times to get replaced. Then in June 2025 we had to go to Riverside hospital multiple times to place an alternative portal for dialysis in my spouse's body. Owners Dean & Aiesha Bonsu of Bolt Medical Transportation have come to our rescue in a BIG WAY to provide transportation for all these medical appts/sessions as early as 6 AM in the morning and many different times during the day. Their dedication for their handling of my spouse in their wheelchair each trip is SECOND TO NONE. Their attitude & care in this service is also SECOND TO NONE. We have no "backup plan" for a different service with a handicap accessible wheelchair vehicle so whether texting or calling Dean to arrange a pickup from home to a medical appt and/or contacting Dean for the different length of these appts is no problem to make us wait for an extended period of time. Well they want payment upfront, which I thought there was some kind of meter in a taxi. Maybe that's old school? I don't know. This isn't Uber or Lyft. How would you know how much before the trip. I explained the situation to the driver and he said it would be fine, that I would remain in the car until someone came out to pay. He even called me back to confirm that I explained the process to my dad which I confirmed that I did. When the driver pulled up and saw me, he immediately changed his mind, told me not to get in and refused the ride. I understand that it's not the usual policy to receive payment at the destination, but they had suggested the alternative way then completely flipped the script and with the attitude of someone who had been wronged. I can only speculate there's an anti-African American bias at play as we had spoke on the phone twice before his arrival and he had agreed to the alternative that he himself suggested. But upon seeing me immediately changed his mind. He was actually charging double of what it would normally cost. We were willing to pay it. He took the job and then upon seeing me became very abrasive argumentative and disrespectful. If you don't respect the population that you make money from, you don't deserve our money. Do not use this company.

Recent red eye trip to Salem MA. We narrowly missed a what would have been fatal accident. Our…read moredriver, who had issues the whole trip with staying alert and awake, fell asleep for a good minute on The highway traveling at highway speeds. The other driver, who was also an issue, had to take control and save us all. Her driving might not have been as horrible but her attitude sure was. The cussing, arguing with other drivers in front of us over her headset, telling passengers she's not responsible for giving us toilet paper, cussing in front of children, and then threatening to take off while people were exiting the bus with their belongings. The whole trip was a disaster. Everyone on board is now being accused of being racist. Which is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I guess we should have all just allowed this to happen and kept our mouths shut for the sake of the company. I guess when it's 30+ against 1 when it comes to what happened, we should discredit the group of people. *eyeroll*. Do your research before boarding a charter bus and definitely book elsewhere. Save yourself the trauma! I'm giving them one star because there's no place to leave a negative star review.

To begin with, the bus was an hour late, setting an awful tone for the entire trip. During the ride to Salem, the driver got lost multiple times despite minimal traffic, causing us to arrive three hours behind schedule. On the trip home, the driver told us that there would be a stop for us to freshen up about an hour or two into the 13-hour trip home. However, I woke up 5 & 1/2 hours later to find that we were lost again, this time in a residential neighborhood, without having stopped once. THEN, I heard talk of the bus running low on necessary fluids, and the driver admitted that if we didn't find a rest stop soon, the bus would shut down. I even had to help locate a nearby travel plaza to avoid further issues. The lack of communication and poor management were the most concerning aspects of the entire experience. The drivers clearly needed better training. While I'm thankful we made it back in one piece, unless you're looking to star in your own low-budget horror-comedy about a bus trip, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company!
