The first interaction with the staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. The Dr. was understanding and actually LISTENED to me and my issues. He gave me options for meds and told me where to go online to learn more about what would be best for me. Fee was $100 plus $15 for the extra/optional laminated picture card. Their booking system is online, which is easy to use. The admin was nice and friendly enough. Payment is taken before seeing the dr. It felt like dr malka was possibly seeing too many patients and jaded. She did not really listen to me or ask any questions. Seemed to judge me and probably thought I did not have a legitimate medical condition. Asked me why I was not seeing my regular dr and kept going on about that. Finally gave me a 2 month recommendation, probably because I already paid. It was $120 for the evaluation and card. I will not go back for my renewal. Sorry but I've been a patient for over 5 years and I have never paid as much as they want to charge for a rec I understand that options around here are limited and the last time I had to drive all the way to San Jose but even with the cost of gas it is still a hell of a lot cheaper to drive all the way out there. When I called on a Monday to get my mCard I was offered a Tuesday morning appointment. I was directed to the patients forms section, printed out the questions and completed the new patient form to bring along with my med records. The office staff is very knowledgeable, very funny and helpful. Dr Stephen Waltcher is kind, pre-emptive, and very familiar with medical cannabis. I found this place because they were easy to find online and was able to make an appointment online as well. The location itself is actually very convenient, but it is a tiny bit hidden away (next to a Korean hair salon, it seems, and up the stairs so it's not disabled friendly). The doctor here is SO nice, I've seen him (Dr. Stephen Robinson) for two years now. Informative, and friendly! It's $100 for a new patient, $80 for recurring. The office is pleasant; as they note on their site, those who cannot make it up stairs should call ahead; there is an elevator. I was seen today by Dr. Robinson and was most impressed by the fact that he did an actual quick physical workup, e.g., reflexes and more - not sure what it all meant but I do appreciate this hands-on, first-things-first approach. This is the kind of fundamental medical exam I've seldom received even from primary care providers, but I know it is the sign of a great doctor. While I didn't necessarily need it, he did advise me about medication for my specific issues. I have had nothing but the best of experiences with the Dr. and staff here. I just booked for my yearly check up for the third year. The Dr. is very professional and passionate about helping patients like myself that have and need an alternative way to control symptoms of an illness other than hard core medications, which I cannot take due to severe physical reactions. With her guidance and reccomemdations I have been able to control my pain and swelling while being able to live my life in relative comfort. Ive taken friends to other clinics, but this was the first time i visited this clinic and the first time i went for myself as well. The clinic is conveniantly located in Monterey, Ca which is a 50 minute drive from South County Monterey,Ca. I loved being able to schedule my appointment on-line (i found the clinic on-line at 12:45pm on a Fri afternoon, sceduled a same-day appointment for myself at 4:30pm). As always, I was running late by about 40 min. I called the office to let them know expecting to hear i had been canceled and should reschedule. Instead they were very understanding and told me where I could probably find parking close by. The office is on the second floor and easy to find. You fill out a short 3 page information sheet (actually about 2 page's, the rest is just info.for yourself), then you pay the fee ($100 for new patient -includes 2 certificates or $125 for a same visit picture i.d and 2 certificates, $75 for a renewal ). Prices at this clinc are competitive with prices in most clinics. For me, it was cheaper at this clinic because i would have to drive to Santa Cruz or San Jose otherwise and that would mean more costs in fuel plus longer driving time. The doctor sees you next. Dr. Robinson, a tall and handsome gentlemen was very personable, inviting, attentive, and took the time to answer and explain any and all questions or concerns. He has a great sense of humor on top of all the other good stuff. The 2 receptionists were very easy going and also had a great sense of humor. They even put up with the flirty nature and shenanigans from my elderly friend. The clinic is very clean,large and not stuffy at all. The staff is very professional yet personable and they all make you feel welcome and will happily answer all your questions. The entire process is quik and simple. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone wanting to get their referral. I know i will be bak to renew here and nowhere else. Try to be about 10-15 min early though because their is no private parking,only street parking is available. Bring your photo id, any medical records you have handy, and the cost of the fee.
