I got my car(used) in 2004 and have had to have my car repaired twice, once when my car's muffler fell off almost completely and again when my car had some serious issues (i.e. Check Engine Light). I shopped around getting appraisals from a few different shops before I was recommended to BestCar Care II by my friend. In both of these situations I was low on cash and desperately needed my car fixed fast. Out of all the places I went to, to get an appraisal, Terry's shop was the cheapest, fastest, and the most helpful. He fixed my car both times within a few days... but what I think sets them apart was when I needed my car fix and needed to be somewhere at the same time. He made it a point to find someone he knew to drive me where I needed to go. He could just as easily gave me a cab number or made me reschedule the appt. to a later date (which would have exceeded the time span I had to get it fixed.). And that's why I will never take my car anywhere else. How can you beat the friendliest/fastest/cheapest/most helpful shop in northern Illinois? That's right... You can't. p.s. THANKS TERRY!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I can't say enough good things about Jerry and his staff who have gotten me through a couple of tough times in recent past. I rely on my car heavily for my job and recently found myself stranded in McHenry. One call was all it took to be able to hook up with a great towing service (Alpine Towing) and get my car fixed all in the same day. I've been a "frequent flier" within the past 6 months and each time have been treated like a valued customer. The staff are very knowledgeable and do not over sell as other places do. I've brought my 30 collector cars and my family cars to Terry when he was at another repair shop in town. Now that he's started his own business it was a no brainer to bring all of my work to their shop. THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST. Fair prices and the best work you can get. I don't care if it's rebuilding a muscle car engine or a tune up on one of my daily drivers, they can do it. They're fast and friendly too and will pick you up and drive you home after you drop your car off. There is nothing this shop can't do for an auto or truck. read more
