They explained everything they were doing and answered all our questions. They also arrived on time every morning to start the job and even showed up when it was drizzling outside to do work. WOW... I was so impressed with Brian and his team's ability to turn my 85 year young parent's 2400 square foot house into a ice box in under 3 days. YES... 85 years young lived in the house since 1968 with no Air Conditioning. BWR's crew started the install Monday morning, my dad called me Wednesday afternoon on a 90 degree afternoon and said he was freezing. I was busting up laughing. We had shopped for a company that could do the work and others said it was impossible to get equipment and we would be lucky to get it done by next summer. I have a gas furnace that would shut off after 2 min. Called BWR in the beginning of December. The Techs were very nice but unable to figure out the problem. They changed the High limit switch(which was what was faulting) with no help. Told me that I needed an additional return added for air flow. Even thought they had the door open with filter out and the unit still shut off, they still said it needed an additional return. $600 dollars later I have the new return (with the wrong grill opening on it)and still furnace that won't run. They then said I needed an additional Register for another fee... I pulled the top off the coil and let the furnace have unrestricted air flow out of the unit and it still shut off. After that they just stopped coming said I need a total replacement of this 6 month old unit. 4 weeks and several appointments later they walked away from the job. Today, another company came out and discovered that there was the wrong limit switch installed and that was the reason for the unit shutting off. 2 1/2months with no heat and $600 later and the unit was fixed with a 5 dollar part. I picked BWR because its a local company, and the reviews were good. So, just my two cents... very nice people... Im sure this isn't the norm for every case but for me, it was a disaster. read more

RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I would give this company an negative 5 stars if possible. We entered a contract with Brian Weaver of BWR almost 2 years ago. We contracted them to replace all ducting and remove asbestos in our home and install an air-conditioning unit. It was not until we started a kitchen remodel several weeks ago did we find out that Brian known as BWR never fulfilled his contract as he never replaced the ducts and did NOT remove the asbestos. We have now been living with asbestos blowing in our house for the past almost two years!!! When I asked Brian what went wrong, he said contact his lawyer. SHADY, SHADY, SHADY!! In response to Mr. Weaver, we are not disgruntled we were ripped off by a dishonest, negligent and sloppy company. We encountered numerous problems from the inception of the install and we had to call several times about HERS testing, lack of airflow etc. We have NOT been able to use our unit so I'm confused why Mr. Weaver makes this statement "that now runs beautifully". This is completely false. Just another one of his many misleading statements. Please take note, he does admit truthfully, that he failed to fulfill his contract and it wasn't until our contractor opened the ceiling that his negligence was discovered. read more

We had three companies come out to the house for quotes and Josh from BWR was the only person, who I might say isn't small, to crawl up into the attic and make sure he could do the job. He said " I'm not going to tell you that I can do the job without going up there and making sure that I can get in that space and do what I say I can do". We had a smaller guy that wouldn't even look in the attic and I'm not going to hire someone that's willing to cut corners for the sake of a few dollars. Our AC was leaking due to bad engineering of the drain from whoever installed it when we bought the house. Robby initially thought it has to do with the lack of secondary safety switch, so I was quoted for the installation of the switch. On the day of the job, Robby spotted the main drain was designed poorly, so he re-routed the main drain free of charge. Result was great, Robby and his team was helpful and friendly during the job. Had AC issues at 8pm on a Friday night during Labor Day weekend. A friend suggested I contact BWR. The gentleman I spoke with said he would send someone out the next morning. Two men showed up at 9:40am to look at my issue. They pulled a panel, determined I had a leak and told me I would either have to buy a new section (extremely expensive) OR have to replace my condenser unit. For 2800 total. I told him I didn't have that kind of money. He tried every possible way to convince me to have him do the work. When he finally realized I wasn't going to pay that kind of money he wrote me an invoice for $280. Of course, 180 of that could be applied to a new unit. The bill break down was $90 for parts, and $170 for labor (2 guys @ 2 hours- they were here for 50 minutes, one guy did the "work" while the talker called around looking for a local "cheaper" unit). I called someone else after they left. That person saw no evidence of the "dye" I got charged $90 for. He did also see the leak. Took the too off my unit, saudered the leak, and recharged my unit. He was here for 1 hour, it was the same holiday weekend, and he charged me $150. No wonder it is hard to trust anyone these days. I have half a mind to stop payment in the check and let him take me to small claims. read more

DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They price gouge and are extremely DISHONEST. BWR charged me $23000.00 to install an HVAC system and ducts through the HERO program. Even the girl in his office was taken back by the cost!!!! I have to this day never received any paperwork from Brian Weaver, who told me my system is under warranty. In June 2020, the A/C was blowing warm air and since I now have tenants in the property, and currently live in NV, I called BWR, Brian Weaver to fix it. He indicated it was under warranty and would call the tenants to schedule an appt. Mind you , my tenant was 9 months pregnant and no A/C. His tech called to tell me yes it is under warranty however, they didnt have the part and didnt know when it would be in, but he could put a commercial part in for $386.00. Since I was between a rock and a hard place, once again, he took advantage of that along with the fact I was not even in CA. I had no choice and trusted him. I asked him again to send me the paperwork for the unit and to this day he has never done so. The invoice he sent does not list a manufacturer name so for all I know he could have used a regular part from one of his "so called fully stocked" trucks and I wouldn't know that he didn't use a commercial part. After hearing that I got screwed on the price, especially for a part that was under warranty, I called around and in addition actually spoke to people that had the same issue and paid no more than $185.00 but Brian Weaver thought he could price gouge and take advantage of this situation. In addition, negotiating his cost down to $336, and refusing my $150.00 offer for a warrantied part, he turned around and never called me, he explained via email it was a sticker shock. NO BRIAN IS WAS A SUCKER SHOT!! His way of dealing with this for a part he should have installed under my 10 year warranty is to slap a MECHANICS LIEN against my property. He wants to play hard ball!! I have filed a complaint with the State of California Contractors Board, the BBB, the manufacturer as the installer of their product, and the HERO program and not only for the erroneous mechanics lien and inflated cost of service, but also for the inflated cost of the entire unit. WATCH OUT EVERYONE, HE IS A SCAMMER AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!!!!! read more

I went through American Home Shield and BWR was assigned to fix my mother's split unit in FEBRUARY. Brian came out and looked at it and did not give me an update. Time and again I had to ask him what was going on and what is the status. Time and again he blamed the girls at the office and for the companIES that lost the part or was backordered (and yet never came). Feb, March, April, May, June, July. I had to chase him down weekly (my fault for not complaining to the American Home Shield earlier) to see what was going on. Finally, last week I called AHS who escalated it to Contractor Relations and I really hope they pull BWR from their list of contractors. Brian is a very DISHONEST face of this company. If you cannot fix something in 6 months, why keep me on the hook? What does that get you? Just say you can't fix it and let someone else do it. I don't get it read more

Service call review only. I can't say I've had any major work done by them, but I requested a simple "service call" I mentioned I thought my Mini Split AC needed to be recharged. Tech comes out. Looks at it, "runs some tests" only to give me an idk answer. Calls his manager on FaceTime. They go over a few things. My husband asks if he can just try to recharge it. So the tech tries says it doesn't work. Leaves me with a bill for 100 bucks for literally nothing. Says a certain part in the unit is broken because of faulty installation whole unit needs to be replaced. (The unit is brand new) I received no follow up about what part until I called the office 3 days later( they mentioned they'd be having issues about notes and other things with the tech they sent me.) why are you sending techs out with known issues? Anyway The unit is still under warranty I was hoping the warranty would cover it. Something in my gut was telling me this guy didn't know what he was looking at. So I called for a second opinion this morning. ALL it needed was a simple recharge. 30 minutes and 50 bucks later my AC is running perfect again. This place billed me 100 dollars for literally nothing and almost cost me another 1500-2000 on a new unit had I not asked for a second opinion from a different company. Can't say my experience was professional or helpful. This was bad business in my opinion. read more

I appreciate Brian (owner) for still coming out on calls and working alongside his employees to get the job done right. The best thing about BWR is that they are honest with their customers. It would've been easy to say, my forced air unit is dead and I need a entirely new unit. Would've probably been a lot easier to install a new unit as well. The owner personally attended the service call and was very personable and professional. The repair was completed successfully and at a very reasonable price.
