Noticed water damage on my ceiling and cut in to investigate. Initially thought it was the ABS drain, but after tracing the issue I found the real problem was a failing fitting on the hot water PEX supply line. The plumber who came out was friendly enough, but the quote came in at $1,400 for a straightforward PEX repair. I had already done the discovery, cut the access hole, and identified the leak. This was not a complex job and did not justify that price. I ended up calling another plumbing company who is doing the same repair for $300-$400, over $1000 less. Price padding a simple repair, especially when it feels like it's based on the assumption an insurance claim will be filed, isn't a good look. Honest pricing and integrity matter, and in this case, they missed the mark. read more

Scott Cole Plumbing replaced the broken pipe, water heater and main pressure valve. Excellent customer experience and value. I called Scott to come get some work done. I sent him pictures and communicated with him ahead of time what I needed. He came to my house while I was at work. My wife took the day off work so he could come complete the work same day. He ended up not doing any of the work. Which was just to fix two p traps in two separate sinks. The other job we asked about was a backed up drain but he told my wife it couldn't be identified. He left the house and then said he would just give us a quote that night because he couldn't complete the work that day. He never sent us the quote and then when I asked him a question about the drain he just ghosted us. He knew my wife took the day off for this appointment and he left us having. Scott has helped us with 2 repairs. First last January when we had a broken kitchen drain pipe. He sent Ruben and his crew and they did an excellent job. It took over 2 weeks to repair as they did a rerouting and every day Ruben left for the day he cleaned up everything.
