Absolutely love this place, my only regret is not making an appointment sooner. The office is very nicely decorated and clean, staff is friendly and chill. I switched to this place after an unfortunate experience from another chiropractor so I was somewhat apprehensive going in, but Dr. Kevin takes the time to listen and try different methods than my past chiropractor did which has helped a lot already. Unlike other places I've been, I don't feel like just another patient-- here, I feel like I'm recieving personalized care for my needs. From the self check-in kiosk to the adjustment tables and massage roller tables, they have excellent top quality equipment which very much contributes to a great overall experience. In every room they even have gentle cloud ceiling light alternative option to those like me with light sensitivity. After each visit I'm left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Dr David Nicol is amazing. I came in last week with extreme back pain and after an hour with him, my pain was down to a manageable level. While the pain is not completely gone, it is better than when I left last week. He manipulated my back again today, helped to stretch my glutes and hamstrings and gave me exercises to do at home. Just wanted to provide an updated review for Complete Chiropractic Sports and Wellness because I went in today, and I saw that a 1-star review was recently left for this business (which I hope doesn't scare people away!) It's unfortunate that this business will have such a crazy low rating on their record, because I have been to chiropractors in the past that were TRULY 1-2 stars in my book. As in dirty, rude service, long waits, and no clean adjustment tables. Contrary to those, this office is clean, the doctors are super nice and attentive to your needs, and the equipment is top notch. My last chiropractor didn't even have a massage chair, and these people have an entire massaging bed! I will say my review is genuine - I'm not sure about the other Yelpers who have reviewed this business, but I literally moved to Southpoint Durham from San Diego 11 months ago for my husband's job (pregnant with no prior friends or family in the area) and didn't know where else to find a chiropractor for my back. This one came up on my Yelp search, so I went in one day, and still go occasionally when I need a fix up. As far as my visit today, I scheduled my appointment this morning and was seen this afternoon. There was no wait and I had another great check up - had my upper back and my wrists adjusted due to repetitive pain from carrying my 6 month old. The relief feels amazing and Dr. Brian also massaged out a few knots and pressure I was having in my shoulders as well. Finished off with the back massaging bed which also provides great pain relief. However, I am updating my review to 4-stars, because they have not had a receptionist in a few months. Last time I remember there being one was in May. They do need someone to run their lobby and phones, though I haven't had a problem scheduling appointments. The last week in January of this year, I had a second surgery on my right shoulder in 10 years. I have been going to a prominent entity for physical therapy 2 to 3 times a week. It wasn't until I came to Complete Chiropractic and had my first session with Brian after six months with the other organization did I find hope. Literally after the first session my external rotation improved by 7°. For awhile I thought at 32 I would have to get used to life without the full functionality of my right arm , I even entertained thoughts of disability. I was unable to reach over to the passenger seat when on the driver side, it was very difficult to reach the nightstand beside my bed.I was experiencing considerable pain daily. I had talked myself into this is the way things are going to be for a while. I also went in and out of depression from the chronic pain. Found this place via a recommendation from a neighbor, then found a groupon as well. I was very happy that I went to these guys, as they were very professional and are miracle workers. It was a week before I had a big tournament and my neck / back was feeling really sore and achy. It was to the point where i could barely move my neck to the side and i was extremely concerned as this tournament was a regional championship. I met with Brian on a Monday. We spoke for a little bit first, then explained to me what he was doing the entire time. After the initial session was over, he put some K-tape on my back and neck to aid in the healing process. I was then walked over to a machine that looked like a massage bed, however the massager was built into it. Its a roller that goes up and down your body for approximately 8 minutes. I felt a little sore, however 2 days later I started feeling much better. The soreness in my neck had subsided (not completely), but to a point where i was able to move better. I went back 3 days later (Thursday) for a follow up visit. Got a 2nd treatment on my back / shoulders as well. The way they do their chiropractic techniques puts your mind at ease (especially the amount of anxiety that one builds up when someone is about to 'crack' their body). After my visit on Thursday, I felt very sore leaving, however by Friday, I was feeling much better. The K-Tape that they put on helped me with the tournament (which i ended up placing 1st place (GOLD) in my event). I am very fortunate to have stumbled upon this practice and am thankful. Look forward to my next visit in a week or so (health maintenance).. The only unfortunate side is that they do not take my insurance, however they are very accommodating and charge me the typical 'copay' rate of $55 versus their normal fees due to who my employer is. read more

These are the types of chiropractors that give the industry a bad name. I can't speak for all of the staff that works here, but my visit and consumer observations tell me that this is a well earned one star establishment. The visit started with me waiting in the lobby for the receptionist that didn't exist. I guess they don't have one, the doctors handle all their own paperwork i guess. Which is probably why I've had to call 3 times to have an itemized receipt emailed to me in order to file a claim - as my insurance refuses to believe this place is real - i can see why. you should NEVER have to call a doctor's office more than once to have something like this taken care of, that's pathetic. I've also never been to a chiropractor that just starts cracking your body up without getting any x-rays to make sure nothing is seriously wrong. now, i know there isn't anything seriously wrong because i have this chronic back problem, but the chiro didn't know that. and as a result, i'm still having back issues because he has no idea what's going on inside my body. to top off the professionalism, it's quite obvious this office has either has their friends writing reviews or has handed out incentives for people to write these 5 star reviews on yelp and on google. do yourself a favor, keep looking for a reputable and honest chiropractic office. read more

I have been working with Dr. Brian McLauglin for over a year now. Before I started working with him I was highly skeptical of chiropractors but now I know it can be very effective. I hurt my lower back working out and had some sort of wrist trauma as well - both incredibly painful. I had been dealing with the wrist for about a year - after 3 visits I regained full flexion in my wrist. This was after an appt with the top hand surgeon at Duke who told me if it didn't resolve itself my only option was surgery. Crazy when all Dr McLaughlin did was massage the wrist and realign it. I now go every three weeks just to keep my back aligned. It gives me a wider range of motion and just makes me feel better. I'm heavily involved in sports including lifting, Bjj, and Muay Thai. I suffered a neck injury 6 years ago that resulted in herniated discs with radiculopathy and inability to rotate my neck to the left. I had seen the best spine surgeon at duke who recommended surgery. Despite my ignorance on chiropractics as I'm in a medical program that does not address it as a form of therapy, I decided I would try it as a last ditch effort given my age and after weighing risks/benefits of surgery. All I can say, is I wish I went to Dr. Kevin first. In just 3 visits, he's already improved so much of my neck immobility and shoulder impingement symptoms. I had a 24/7 numbness radiating down my arm for probably 1 year and it's down to 25% of the time in just 3 visits. I've been going to Complete Chiropractic on/off for a little over two years now. Dr. Kevin is always able to find my problem areas, and he is knowledgeable about what kind of treatment is best for you. He knows what he's doing. I should add that I have NEVER been coerced to come in regularly for a series of session over a period of time, as some chiropractors do. If I show up every week--great; If I show up only when I really need a fix--that's great, too. One time I had a very terrible neck issue (ended up being disc-related), and Dr. Kevin fixed me within a couple of sessions. Seriously, I don't know what I would've done without the treatment he gave me. Also, I absolutely LOVE the massage tables. While I've never had a personal issue with scheduling an appointment or getting in touch with Dr. Kevin, one of the reviews mentioned that there is no front desk help/receptionist. Now there is a fabulous office manager, Susan, who is very pleasant. She answers the phone and gets back to you promptly. Susan also gives you a call if you (like me) forget or miss your appointment for whatever reason, and she re-schedules with you very quickly. I also want to echo other things that the reviews highlight: clean office and no wait time (unless one person is late and that delays everyone else). The office is also conveniently located near Southpoint mall, and the after 5pm weekday availability is great for folks who can't come during the day. This is something minor, but Dr. Kevin recommended a pillow that you can fill up with water--best pillow I've ever had. read more

When I first went to Dr Kevin I was contemplating seeing a orthopedic for my shoulder pain. It was seriously impacting my life, and I was terrified that I would need either painful cortisone shots or surgery, so he was my Hail Mary. Despite all my years of visiting chiropractors for back and neck issues, I never thought it would be possible for him to get me past the shoulder pain and increase my mobility, but he did through a series of techniques that I hadn't encountered with my other chiropractors. I'm very grateful that I have a doctor that is always seeking out new methods of treatment with workshops and conferences, and am very happy that I saw him before seeing someone that would take a more invasive drug and cut approach. Not only did my injury improve and pains subside after each visit, but I was empowered with personal exercises to facilitate recovery and prevent reoccurrence. Her cheerful demeanor, colorful explanations, and enthusiasm for PT made each visit enjoyable, despite the potential physical unpleasantries of PT. As much as I liked the office visits, her goal was always to rehabilitate to a point where visits would no longer be necessary. She cares deeply for her patients and strives to improve their well-being. Dr. Stasko is extremely knowledgeable in the field, and as someone with lots of questions, I greatly appreciated the education I received during therapy sessions.
