I had my first appointment with Complete Wellness Health Center today, and everything was above and beyond. They were professional, but also welcomed me and I felt as if I was part of their work family. I came in for some really bothersome pain from my neck to shoulder blades, and felt taken care of in every aspect. I was completely confident in Dr. Josh's care as he explained everything he was going to do step by step, why he was doing it, and how to get the most benefit out of the treatment. I left with no pain or discomfort, and am truly already looking forward to getting treated by Dr. Mike at my next appointment. When I found out I had to move from Chicago to Apex, NC, I was excited for a change but sad that I was going to have to find all new things like a hair stylist, doctor, and Chiropractor. What a time consuming, pain in the neck task! But I am lucky that I found Borgert Family Chiropractic located very conveniently to my house. I called and was able to get an appointment very easily; this office is great about working you in. Heck, you don't even need to really make an appointment; you can just call on your way in and say I am coming in! The first visit was pretty practical for a Chiropractor visit- go over what chiropractic care is, why it helps, x-rays, some range of motion tests, etc. Although, this office is a bit different than most chiropractors I have seen. Dr. Mike's office is one big open area. There is a private room but it isn't really used unless you are meeting with Dr. Mike to go over x-rays, etc. However, I am sure you can request to get adjusted in the private room if you aren't comfortable. The very next day, after my initial appointment, I went back to go over my x-rays with Dr. Mike and we started my treatment plan (2-3 times a week, neck traction exercises, wiggle chairs). Dr. Mike also has a massage table that you can lie on anytime you wish. I also get ultrasound done. It's been easy ever since! Not only does Dr. Mike do "regular" Chiropractic care, he is very knowledgeable about nutrition and other aspects of health. He offers a nutrition class (I believe) twice a month in the evenings. He also attends a lot of health fairs and other events to educate the community on the importance of chiropractic care. Their prices are very reasonable and they are very easy to work with on payment plans, insurance or whatever. My husband and I have been going to see Dr. Mike since we moved here in May and we are still going regularly to get our adjustments! In February, 2012, I called the office at 9:00 AM to see if I could schedule an appointment; they kindly made one for 12:00 that same day. I was in severe pain from "Frozen Shoulder" and arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. No other clients in the waiting area, but sat and waited 1 full hour before I was called back to see the "doctor', who proceeds to tell me he cannot see me today. I am in severe pain, I've sat and waited one hour, he sees 7, yes SEVEN, people come in after me, then he tells me he can only take x-rays, but not help my pain. Stay away from him. I have been a patient of Dr. Mike for over two years. When I initially became a client I had severe neck pain. After my initial x-rays, it was clear that my neck had lost its natural curve. He set up a treatment plan to help get me back on track. Now the curvature in my neck has drastically improved. Also, for anyone with kids...he treats kids for free. My daughter had severe double ear infections and he recommended that I bring her in. Sure enough she was out of alignment in her cervical spine. This is a "Maximized Living" Chiropractic office. They sound nice and caring but the sketchy shady vibe is there right from the start. First appointment is x-rays, second tells you something's really wrong with you, need to schedule a third and must come with spouse. I started going to Dr Mike after he took a look at my spine through a device he had that would project my problem areas on a screen. My spine was in bad shape - causing regular headaches, back pain, and numbness in my arm. After delaying my visit I finally came in - and I can sit here and say without hesitation it's changed my life. I started on a program that created a consistency in my adjustments, my home care kit, better eating, and exercising. I'm not where I need to be in all I eat, but I'm so encouraged by the results I'm having from getting my spine better....I'm feeling healthier, and its made a difference - I no longer take the blood pressure medicine I was on for several years, I have no sharp pain in my neck or upper back, and I just feel like my immune system is working as it should.
