I bought a larger size of Skinceuticals fusion sunscreen. She prescribes a skin lightener from Costco that you should use twice daily for 3 months. Natalie is a PA and has a bright smiling face. She has another employee Jasmine who brings you to the exam room and stays with both of you. Her advice? Wear a wide brimmed hat and use sunscreen. read more

Terrible service. I wanted to ask questions about my skin spots that I had concerns about being cancer, the doctor basically told me they didn't have time for me. I'm in the sun a lot for work and I rarely have time to do some self care and I've suddenly had a lot of spots that were not there before. Then they said to come back in like two months because they were booked out. There was no parking when I got there and was 10 minutes late because I had to park at pearl ridge and walk and when I got in they had already canceled my appointment. I'm going to find somewhere else where they actually care. They made me feel as if I was imposing on them rather than being there to help. read more

I always show up on time for appointments at Complete Dermatology and have been to the Kapolei, Mililani, and Aiea offices. It's very common to have to wait 20, 30 minutes or more once arriving. One time I was kept waiting an hour. I get it, sometimes they get behind. Today I arrived TEN minutes late for an appointment and the front desk attendant pointed to their SEVEN MINUTE policy and told me because I was more than seven minutes late I was being refused service, and would either need to reschedule and come back another time, or wait *indefinitely* until another patient that day cancelled. When I asked how long that might be, she just shrugged and said 'I don't know'. read more

While the providers at Complete Dermatology seem good at what they do, my experience there was really disappointing because of how I was treated by one of the staff members. JJ was consistently rude and dismissive toward me, which made the environment really uncomfortable. It honestly ruined the experience for me to the point that I decided to change dermatologists. read more

I have called multiple times (over months) to set up an appointment, but never receive the call back to schedule. I have been assured by the phone receptionist that a team member will call me back... never happened. Unfortunately, I have purchased skin care packages and I've been unable to use them due to their poor scheduling practices. Don't waste your time or money with this place. read more

Front office girl needs to learn customer service skills and grow up. Called to make an appointment and she yawns out loud on the phone and then says she's tired. So unprofessional. Arrived at the appointment and she doesn't even greet or say hi. She says, " You were supposed to be here earlier to fill out paperwork. Next appt is ...." Girl did you even look in the chart to see if the paperwork was there before you ran your mouth? Dr Elkenberg was in and out and really no help. Does not even compare to my old dermatologist who retired. Will continue looking for a new practice to go to. Don't waste your time going here. It's really hard to find a dermatologist in the Leeward area. My son noticed a bump on his arm that wasn't going away and he was getting worried about it. I remember seeing a banner at the mall that a new derm clinic was opening up and I was so glad to hear that they were taking new patients! We got an appointment really quickly at a time and day we wanted and it's really close to my house. Doctor offices do not validate at Pali momi so you can either pay the $2 for two hour parking or park at the mall. Check in was really easy but the new patient forms reminded me of signing for a home mortgage. They took copies of our insurance cards and we got seen right away. We got Dr Frankel and she was very patient and professional with us. My son got all his questions answered and she let us know to call her if we ever have any more problems. This clinic also does aesthetic procedures, I had inquired about their hydro facial and I'm going to call back when I can get time off to get one! Prices are very reasonable. If they are not taking new patients the very least they should do is let me know so I can seek further treatment elsewhere. Went to Complete Dermatology for the first time to check on multiple lumps under my skin and unfortunately I got no answers. dr. Joshua Eikenberg consulted with me for 5 minutes and inspected the lumps and told me to come back if they continue to grow bigger. Basically it was a waste of time that costed me $330. I would NOT recommend anyone seeing this doctor, for he is just going to send you home until your situation gets worse. read more

He comes in and looks and thinks real hard and give the laziest analysis on my son's eczema, for literally 5 minutes. 1st time we went there, he prescribed the adult pill version of the medicine and the pharmacy laughed at us when they saw it was for a little child. 2nd visit he tells us he will send over 2 ointments and after waiting 2 whole days for the pharmacy's text, I called them and they tell me that the doctor never called in the medicine. Also, who does a 5 minute grace period when u literally spend only 5 minutes with the patient? Just the absolute worst-unorganized , insensitive, inattentive, laziest doctor I have ever encountered in my life. And btw we didn't choose him, the damned Kapolei office stopped taking appts and pushed us there. Complete Dermatology, we are glad to leave you. read more

The nurse at check in at Pali momi office was so efficient as she went above and beyond even though we couldn't be seen at that office. I have never felt so assured in the competency of both Dr. Frankel and her assistant, Jasmine!! They are amazing and create such a welcoming and reassuring energy that I couldn't help but appreciate. My experience: I was called in a timely manner and Dr. Frankel's assistant, Jasmine, who was friendly and comfortable to talk to. She noted everything and gave me the feeling that my concerns were important. Nothing seemed rush. When Dr. Frankel came in, she had an incredible energy and automatically soothed my weariness with both her knowledge and detailed explanations. When thinking of possible treatments, I could tell, she genuinely cared and wanted to help me. She, too, gave me ample time to ask any questions, addressed every concern to the tee and was patient and fun. She explained everything transparently well and was direct and thorough. Very positive! I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. Had to wait about two months for my initial appointment. The receptionists and assistants ranged from alright to really helpful. They maintain office cleanliness, which is always appreciated. I visited Dr. Carcamo about three to four times. Nice guy, but the culture of the office seemed very business-oriented. I would mainly speak with the assistants and I'd see Dr. Carcamo for maybe five minutes max. He'd speak and explain things super quickly and be in and out of the room within minutes--no interest or time to ask if I had any questions. If I did, I had to ask the assistants since he was always on the go. Felt like there was a lot of waiting each appointment and I'd be at the office for way longer than expected. Actual interaction totaled 15 minutes, but I'd be there for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Being that the doctors work for a company and this is not a private practice, they probably need to see a lot of patients to make an acceptable profit. Quantity vs. Quality. Just not the kind of care and service I wanted and expected. Will not be returning. read more

I used to live in ewa and go to the kapolei location to see brooke Garcia, PA. Last year I moved to Aiea and would make appointments at kapolei just to specifically see her since she's so great! The Aiea location is much more convenient for me and luckily Brooke is there a couple Friday's in the month. I've seen her for acne issues, seborrheic dermatitis, laser treatments for telangectasias, and she's been awesome, I have no reason to see anyone else. Getting an appointment is always easy aside from the slim availabilities at the Aiea clinic but she is available m-th in kapolei. They are located in pali momi physicians building, super clean and up to date. Would highly recommend Brooke to anyone with dermatological issues. read more

I called and made an appointment but the doctor couldn't see me right away (not that it's an emergency or anything) because she was on vacation. I can afford to wait, not a big deal. So 3 weeks later, finally my appointment date is here. I walked in early. Super friendly and welcoming staff. They were all very nice, explaining everything they were about to do, how it's gonna feel. In my head, i was like wow, this is really great service! She asked me a couple of dermatological questions, asked me about my issue. I had a small skin tag near my shoulder, and an even tinier one on my neck, and some spots on my neck too. They also took a picture of me that will go on their patient portal profile. So the dr walks in, i forgot her name, dr frankel? I forgot but she's a petite, caucasian, curly haired doctor. She asked me what the issue is, told her and showed her. She said she could remove the skin tag on my arm, and the one on my neck. But not the rest of the small ones all over my neck because she said they were so small that the mark it would leave would be bigger than what it is now. I really appreciated her honesty and heeded her advice. She "froze" the skin tag on my arm and cauterized the one on my neck. There is pain, but nothing you cant handle. So after the procedure, i was like cool! That's it? I didn't check to see if the skin tag was gone, i just assumed that it was. So the doctor's assistant went ahead and let me sign the ipad to consent that i have undergone these procedures. I asked about aftercare. I asked if i could shower, she said yes. She also told me to put petroleum jelly if it starts to hurt. So i go home, looked in the mirror and saw that the skin tag was still there! I was like what in the world! I thought they removed it! I called the following Tuesday at 8 in the morning. Left a message, it's 2 pm, no one has called. Im already furious at this point because i know they'll send me a bill for this and they didn't even do a thing! I called again at 2 pm, left another long message. Immediately, someone calls me back. It's the doctor's assistant that helped me that day. So i told her, my skin tag is still there! You haven't removed it! And then she tells me that it takes 3-4 weeks for it to fall off. Well!!! You could've told me this after the procedure! So I schedule a follow up appointment with the doctor in case it doesn't fall off, and guess what, she will be gone for vacation again! I'm hoping that this will just fall off so I won't have to go back there again. read more

It is located in Pali Momi physicians office next to the hospital. I was referred by my health care provider because I was looking for a dermatologist in the west side. I came in because I had a cyst. I saw Dr. Frankle and my office visit was less than 5 minute. All she told me was something I already knew. That it was a cyst and she would just leave it alone unless it gets bigger or red. I actually went in because my healthcare decided we should take out the cyst. I just felt very rushed and not comfortable. I guess I'll just drive out to town to see other patient doctors. They DO NOT validate parking. Parking is about $3. read more

Wow! So my Doctor said that I should see a Dermatologist for my facial problems that I have been getting and referred me to Complete Dermatology. He said that I didn't need his Doctor referral to see them because I have HMSA PPO and that I can just go ahead and call them to make an appointment. So I went online and OMG! You can make your appointment online. They was awesome! They called me back asap. They asked a few questions, got all my information that they needed, made my appointment and when I got there. It was like they already know who I was. Belinda, here is a few papers that you need to sign and we just need your ID and insurance card and when you're ready just bring them all back here. Just sign and date wherever the highlighted yellow areas are after reading and any questions at all please do. It hesitate and ask me. Wow! Was my first reaction. I then did everything she asked and after handing in the paperworks just 10-15 minutes later they were calling me in! Now that's service or what! The Doctor came in, listened to everything I had to say, she asked a few questions and told me everything that I needed to do to correct my problem and that she'll see me four weeks from now. I went to the Pharmacy of my choice that they just sent my prescription to and within minutes I got my text saying that it was ready for pick up. Wow! Service was great all day or it must be my day! But I'll take that it was a great day because it was. Well I see her in four weeks and we'll see how it went from there. So just remember, if you have HMSA PPO just call them and make an appointment! read more

Three visits to complete Dermatology, three bad results, two major damages, one scarring injury that is increasingly painful After a year and a half of suffering, no improvement. Dr Alex carcamo was clearly angry as he was performing this simple common procedure and left me with a deep burn injury, a scar and pain every day. Why do doctors like this get to keep practicing? And he's the Third Doctor there to harm me! And he is in charge ! The owner , I believe ! I only kept trying because there used to be a doctor there that was helpful. I was told that he would come back, but he hasn't. I believe that the group there uses unusually harsh methods or equipment or chemicals which cause damage and harm and pain. This has been my experience. What a disaster. Imagine waking up every day to see a big scar on your face and Red Rough cheeks with blisters from what they called a mild brief peel. Imagine more than a year and a half later still having to look at these scars and damage and suffer the pain of this strange disease and deep burn! They had no business treating these areas of my face to begin with. In all these years I have never had problems with the skin on my cheeks. Dr carcamo refused to look at other areas where I had precancerous lesions. He never treated those areas. He refused, as if he had given me enough time already. I still have many of these lesions, but I'm afraid to go back to a dermatologist. The doctors that have looked at complete Dermatology damage seem afraid to treat it any further as nothing has worked to improve the damage in all this time. What a nightmare read more

A blink ago, I was eighteen and could care less about my skin. A blink later and I'm in my thirties and everything is beginning to age (and sag). A recent development has been my hormonal acne. I'm like a frigging crater, y'all. So I decided to contact a dermatologist via a friend. I was immediately set up with Dr. Frankel of Complete Dermatology. I was surprised at the openings they had and how it fit in with my schedule. I have been a patient of Dr. Frankel for at least six months and have noticed a significant difference in my acne. Like TONS. I look back at the pictures of my worst breakouts and am content with the change in my skin. My scars are fading and the breakouts have been much smaller. This change would not be possible without the medical advice of Dr. Frankel. I'd also like to give praises to Dr. Frankel's assistant, Jasemine, who has made each visit pleasant. She has made herself available to contact if any questions arise. I am also quite appreciative of their reminders. The team calls to remind you of your appointment through email, text message or a phone call. Not many places care to confirm appointments so I'm grateful for that. Dr Frankel and her wonderful assistants removed a stubborn lipoma that was on the back of my neck. My pcp referred me to her and I'm very pleased with the service I received. First encounter was basically to get me registered as a patient and have a look at my lipoma. Then we got my appointment set up to have this sucker removed. Second encounter was D-day Dr Frankel's assistant set me up in a room and prepped me to be sliced. They could tell I was nervous so Dr Frankel assured me that I wouldn't really feel it. And she was right. I was awake the whole time. Let me tell you this, the numbing needles were the most painful part lol. Only type of feeling I felt during the lipoma removal was the tugging of the fat and the slicing. They stitched me up well and sent me home with proper cleaning instructions to follow. It's been a few months since then and my stitches healed wonderfully. It's no longer an irritating and painful bump just chilling behind my neck. Now I have a simple scar. I can sleep peacefully. Atmosphere was really welcoming and clean. This was my first time here. All though I was late for my appointment due to parking (see below), they were still able to accommodate me in fulfilling my appointment. I didn't need to wait that long before being called after turning in my paper works. Jasemine, doctors assistant, was really friendly and cool. She was really understanding which made my experience very comfortable. She answered any questions I had. She was able to let me know what I was going to expect once Dr. Frankel came in. First time assessment with Dr Frankel. She was really understanding and nice. She made me feel really comfortable. This appointment was very quick. In a good way. Which made me feel like she detected what was wrong and was able to determine and refer me a product to use. Jasemine came back in with samples of the one of the products and gave me simple instructions of usage on products as well as walking me thru it. She was able to confirm that she had sent out my other prescription out to my desired drug store. Jasemine is very sincere about her job as she also explained what type of things the office provides as far as other services. LOVE IT!!! NOTE: The only down fall during my appointment was the dreadful parking experiment. So frustrating. It took me a good 40 minutes just to find a vacant stall. Sugarcoating the problem will harm me... She gave it to me straight and I left happy awaiting my follow up which is Oct 16. This review is late I went in Sept. Nonetheless the flow from check in to the point of being seen wasn't bad although they kept apologizing for the wait, which at best was like 10 mins after my appt time. Let's be honest 10 mins compared to most places 30+ mins I'll take the 10 min wait !! I told her I honestly didn't even realize it was past the time and I wasn't upset! I was referred to Dr. Frankel at Complete Dermatology by my primary (military) health care provider. The office was nice enough, and the admin staff wasn't bad. But neither were they particularly friendly or welcoming. The care received seemed more focused on maximizing visits than on proper patient care. I had a couple sun spots on my face. On the first visit, Dr. Frankel froze only one of the spots, stating that the other spot didn't need treatment. She also said that "insurance" wouldn't allow her to perform a full skin examination on the first visit, so I would have to come back for a follow up. I then had to sign the iPad that a procedure (the sun spot freezing) had been performed. A couple weeks later I returned for the follow up, "total skin exam." That follow up was the most cursory, BS examination I've ever had, a 90 second glance that didn't even involve dropping my drawers. But, lo and behold, NOW my other face spot needed treatment! In about 60 seconds, she froze the other spot. And guess what, I then had to sign that she had done ANOTHER PROCEDURE. When, of course, it should have been done at the same time as the first spot. Dr. Frankel seriously saw me for less than ten minutes and milked the visit for another "procedure" billing in addition to the basic office call. I didn't like that dishonesty and decided I wouldn't be returning. A couple weeks later I got a bill for co-pays that no one in the office had ever mentioned. What a lovely touch. Maybe it wasn't totally intentional but it sure felt like they would have kept me coming back for meaningless visits, piling up the co-pays, without ever saying a thing, until they milked the whole process to its end and then presented the inflated bill. Dr. Frankel may be a competent dermatologist. I don't know, because my situation was so routine it didn't demand any particular knowledge or skill. But she is definitely good at maximizing the money her office brings in (split those procedures up!). What a load of crap. Find a dermatologist who cares more about the patient and less about gouging every dollar out of the patient care system. read more

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Complete Dermatology. I recently saw Dr. Frankel at the Aiea office. When I first saw her, I thought she was thorough, compassionate, and would be a great fit as my dermatologist. Unfortunately after my next visit, I changed my mind. She saw something on my foot - I explained it had been there for 30+ years. She had a very cavalier attitude about cutting in to it. I won't bore you with the long story. But a week later my foot was still bleeding, a month later I have seen a vascular surgeon and have missed quite a bit of work. The horrific follow up to my phone calls of, "my foot won't stop bleeding" have made me find a new dermatologist. If you are sure that you have nothing wrong with you and you just need a basic dermatologist, I think you will be fine. If you are like me and hit outside the norm - STAY AWAY. (Full disclosure: I waited a month to write this review. I do NOT enjoy writing bad reviews. I did everything I could to resolve this with the office and honestly believe the follow up I received after my procedure warranted warning others) read more

My first appointment and follow up went very well and I was impressed with my doctor. I had to wait a while past my appointment time, but once I got in she was straight to the point and didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. However, the practice appears to have really gone down hill. I've called at least 100 times over the past week trying to get my prescription refilled and a follow up appointment. I've left several messages, I've tried every phone option, I even messaged them on their Facebook page, but haven't been able to geat ahold of anyone. The four stars are all for Dr. Frankle and Jasmine. They were very attentive as soon as I walked to be seen by the doctor herself. Before that Jasemine welcomes me and she was very warm and friendly. She asked the reason I came in for and any other concerns that I may have. Down to earth and easy to talk to. Dr. Frankle was like a ray of sunshine as she walked in and shook my hand. Made me feel as ease right away and took the time to explain what was was needed to be done with my situation. The four stars are all for Dr. Frankle and Jasemine. Now, as soon as I came in for my appointment, I had to fill some papers. The receptionist was ok. Didn't feel that friendly atmosphere. Then the girl behind her who was in front of the computer was just texting on her phone. She seemed tired and didn't have the energy to be there. My feelings changed to being slightly irritated. So, I filled up the paper. When I walked to the counter to hand it in, no one was there. I waited a minutes till the receptionist took it. .. I sat down and waited again. All the while I could here the two teenagers talk about there personal life. The one with the uniform that was in front of the computer earlier was saying she's tired and ready to go home. I was thinking, it's not even 9 a.m. It's been a long time since I've experienced something unprofessional. They are the first person a patient sees as soon as they walk in. It would be nice if they keep it down with their personal life and just concentrate on their job. If they can't give their 100%, then just call in sick instead! Saw Dr. Frankel today. Her medical assistant was Tiana and they were both FABULOUS. Dr Frankel was the THIRD Dr I have seen for my skin and SO MUCH more helpful. Both Tiana and Dr. Frankel made me feel comfortable and helpful. Everything was explained to me. I am confident that Dr. Frankel knows what she's doing, my last Dr told me to google it. Tiana even pointed out her phone number and said I could call her with any questions. I am so happy with my experience...finally! read more

Dr Frankel knew exactly what type of skin I had and prescribed me meds. She told me it will take 6-8 weeks for results. I am now on week 4 and I see my skin clearing up. I love this office. The girls at the front are always welcoming when I get there and stop what they are doing to check me in. Dr. Frankel is awesome and so laid back and down to earth. She is super efficient and I rarely wait past my appt time. I have been seeing them for acne, and in addition to Dr. Frankel putting me on the right meds, Wendy has been a blessing doing blue light, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Wendy is so friendly and passionate about your skin, I truly feel pampered there. Staffs here are very friendly and professional. Especially Dr. Frankel, she discussed the treatment very well and thorough. In addition to that, she explained the adverse effects of retinoid and made it clear that it may take up to 2-3 months to see improvement of my acne. I really like how Dr. Frankel explained all these details so that I know what to expect during the treatment. Dr. Frankel made sure that I understood everything and reminded me the importance of using cleansers and moisturizers. Dr. Frankel's medical assistant, Tiana was also very helpful and professional. She addressed all my questions and concerns. She gave me sample of the Epiduo Forte and coupon to use. She clearly explained how to apply or use the Epiduo Forte. At the end of my appointment, Tiana gave me a "patient handout" consisting the conversation/counseling that I had with Dr. Frankel. I find this handout very important and helpful because I can always refer back to the patient handout if I forgot something.
