She has been so helpful with addressing the psoriasis that I have been dealing with for years, finally getting it under control, and fast tracked me on Biologics when I realized that PsA had set in. I feel incredibly lucky to have been at her office for a skin check during a flare, when she checked in on the psoriasis and asked about joint pain. Her thorough care saved me what can sometimes be a lengthy process for people to get diagnosed and treated for similar autoimmune diseases, and I know that being proactive is going to help me out a lot in the long run. All of the staff at the office has also been so helpful working with my pharmacy to get the medications approved and pushed through despite a few minor hang ups. It never takes long to schedule an appointment, I don't ever have to wait long to be seen, overall truly a great experience with everyone here.

Then she gave me instructions, then asked if I had any questions and wanted to see me in about 4 weeks. She was awesome, fast and very attentative to my needy needs. He took the extra time to check more than what I originally scheduled for. He found an unusual spot, suggested and performed a biopsy on the spot and sutured me up. When it came to relaying the results from pathology, he called me himself. Not his staff, not his assistant, but the doctor himself! Not too many doctors take the time to personally speak with their patients. I would definitely recommend Dr. Fujita to anyone!

The receptionist (I wish I remembered her name!) greeted me with a smile and got me checked in quickly with an iPad for my paperwork. Soon after, the medical assistant--possibly Chayan--brought me to the exam room, verified my information, and made sure nothing was missed. I waited only a short time before PA Jessica came in to examine my skin, explain what was going on, and discuss treatment options. She stepped out briefly, then returned with Dr. Wong, who was kind, thorough, and able to prescribe the medications I needed. To start off, this office is busy.. so don't be surprised that there will be a wait to schedule. From my perspective, I see the hold time as more of a stamp of approval for a surgeon who is well sought after. And he surely is! Dr. Healy was on my radar for 13+ years before my surgery. After 2 children and the aftermath of breastfeeding, I have always wanted to correct the remaining "two problems"... haha! Of course, having cosmetic surgery is a huge decision, due to the risk and high price tag, so being extremely picky about your surgeon is the most reasonable thing to do. Now that I've reached my one year anniversary, I can say with full confidence - I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE FOUND THIS OFFICE! My gosh... I have read reviews for other surgeons and I am so grateful for Dr. Healy and his staff for holding up their end of the bargain. I bought a larger size of Skinceuticals fusion sunscreen. She prescribes a skin lightener from Costco that you should use twice daily for 3 months. Natalie is a PA and has a bright smiling face. She has another employee Jasmine who brings you to the exam room and stays with both of you. Her advice? Wear a wide brimmed hat and use sunscreen.

He goes out of his way to make my son feel comfortable, which is not something we experience often in medical settings. He jokes with him, builds rapport, and treats him with genuine respect. I was MISdiagnosed there 2 YEARS when I had lymphoma UNDER shrapnel from an Iraq War wound. I was told, "You are getting OLD, and it's an old war wound..." DISSED for 2 YEARS??%$#@! finally, I went outside w/Medicare, got a proper diagnosis, (CANCER in that bone under the 'old war wound'), and referred for treatment-- finally the V.A. got involved because I threatened to go to the press if they didn't take over. The docs at St. Francis radiation center were GREAT. But nothing worked as it's a rare cancer and it didn't respond to radiation, and kept coming back. Finally, with MY research (I'm a retired surgeon) I found a treatment that may work for me and they referred me on after my oncologist AGREED. MAHALO PRES. TRUMP for 'Care in The Community', as we can now go to outside docs if we live far away--and they took me seriously, I got treatment the V.A. doesn't have anyway--and they listened to me, treating me with respect as a fellow doc. PALI MOMI WAS THE LATEST DOC TO SEE FOR BONE SURGERY--a big surgery, a VERY long 18 month recovery=MAJOR. I saw Dr. Aratani, who is highly specialized in ortho and oncology--one of only 2 on island. The only other is my friend @ Tripler but he was deployed so unavailable and he got me in to see Dr. Aratani. She was enthusiastic about my research, said YES--and referred me on to Queens for one treatment before she operates...but PALI MOMI WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I was pretty lost there as I never go to Aiea, living in Kahalu'u, and it's grown so much all my old landmarks are GONE--but after finally finding it, employees directed me every step of the way as to where to go, what building/floor/etc. OMG! That NEVER happens @ the V.A. I was totally--no lie--slack jawed by the time I got to her office! EVERYONE was so FRIENDLY--and not put on--I mean genuinely friendly, helpful...as my leg HURTS and walking HURTS...so so many folks there offered to help..I am BLOWN AWAY. It is BY FAR, the BEST medical facility I have EVER been in--and after getting wounded, I've had 15 surgeries, multiple scars/shrapnel/debility...etc. I just am very impressed=PERIOD. Much aloha to all you guys!!! Your assist and help was SO appreciated! I've been really down about all this, the time I lost getting treated and where it's at now--needing major surgery, possibly crippled for life...yadayada. But you guys there really cheered me up. ***4.5 STARS***…read more Recently a colleague reached out to me as his designated driver was unable to pick him up due to an unforeseen situation. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. Overall, impressed with my first visit to PMMC, with the exception of their pickup and drop off area. 2026 #60
