First project was shower which was ok. I gave Raul another project which was indoor paint. There were missed areas that needed touch ups. He mentioned that they will fix those but didn't really happen. I gave another project which was the floor. Paid him all the paint job and all the material plus some labor for floor. Paid to replace kitchen lighting which didn't get completed. Unfortunately, the delays started. No answer on phone calls from reasons such as he said he didn't pay his phone service and then getting sick. Then finally no response at all. Now I'm left with half baked floors. I have other pictures I sent him and he mentioned that they will fix. This is sad because I think he was a nice person including Mark. I thought of giving them more projects and build trust. Not sure what happened. I asked for updates 3 times but haven't heard from him since. read more

I sent a Yelp message to all local companies (Tracy, CA) for Drywall Installation & Repair. One company responded 3 days later. A 2nd company respond an hour later, but Complete Home Improvement responded to my Yelp message in 2 minutes. Raul from Complete Home Improvement was very responsive, and we met the following day, Saturday, for the estimate. He gave me a very competitive bid for my job. The job was wall repair of 2 openings in my ceiling of my garage. The sizes were 3' x 1' and the other hole was 2' x 1'. He was free to do the work on Sunday, but I chose Monday instead. Raul arrived Monday and completed filling the hole with dry wall and patched it all up. He minimized the dust in the garage by hanging plastic around the work area. The next day, he came back to finish and paint. Raul cares about the work he does and completes it on time and on budget. We kept in good contact via text the entire time. Whenever Raul had to run to the hardware store, he would text me to close the garage. He respects your property and ensures it is secured before he leaves. I'm 100% satisfied with Raul's quality of work. Complete Home Improvement was good value for me. Raul works hard and is honest. I introduced him to my wife when he looked at another possible job in the kitchen. I mentioned to my wife in front of Raul how much the garage drywall repair was going to cost. I was mistakenly a bit higher on the cost and Raul corrected me right there on the spot and reminded me of the lower estimate he gave me earlier. That's honesty. I have a small drywall patch/paint job, which is caused by water leak from roof and wall. Raul came today, he knows paints very well, he immediately tells that the ceiling and wall are two different color (I thought they are), and what kind of paint I need. I watched him doing the patching and found him pays meticulous attention to details to make the finish look perfect. He would seal the seam between wall and ceiling with caulking gun, he would remove those already finished and redo because he was not satisfied with the result. He still need to come again to paint, but I am sure it will be perfect. read more

Raul was prompt and friendly when giving you an estimate. We had a ceiling water leak at home at Tracy. He was able to estimate the cost based on the photos I sent to him. When I call him, he immediately picked up the phone. He was able to clearly explain what he was going to do and it sounded very promising. I called several drywall/ceiling repair companies and Raul gave me the best price with promised finishing results. He arranged a next day appointment. Quickly he opened the water damaged ceiling and had water cleaned. Instead of install the new ceiling piece immediately, he suggested us to hire plumbing contractor to thoroughly check the pipes above the ceiling. So even though he would come back extra times, he did not charge us more. We then hired plumbing contractor and did find other leaks. He then came back and continued his work. After quite a while, he then sent me a picture of the closed ceiling. I told him that the paint does not seem matching. He said, "I am not finished yet. I will wait until it dries then I will come back in 2 days to finish the job." I can't believe that he was doing the job in such a thorough and professional manner. He did not count how many times he came back for the work but wanted to make sure the job was done right! He then came by in 2 days and finished the last paint layer. Wow! What a great job! The water damaged ceiling area totally disappeared! The new paint finish matched perfectly with the neighbor ceiling area. I can't say how much I appreciate what Raul had done. Raul accepted my project but he did not have opening for almost 4 weeks. Because he sounded very polite and he had good reviews on Yelp, I decided to wait for him. Almost 4 weeks later I texted him to remind him of the appointment, called him 3 times, left 1 voice mail, and got no response. Today is the day of installation for my garden shed. He didn't show up at our 9am appointment, didn't call, didn't text. It's one thing if he had something emergent happening, in which case he should be professional enough to call the customer, its another thing to make an appointment, make the customer wait almost 4 weeks, then be a no call, no show and won't even pick up the phone. Raul, this is irresponsible, unprofessional and disrespectful. You have no regard to customer's time and trust. read more

I have hired Raul for a number of projects. The first one being a drywall repair after a plumber had to chase a leak that lead to multiple large holes in my ceiling and walls. Raul showed up later that day to give me an estimate. At the time I didn't have all the money so I told him I needed more time. Almost a year later I called him up and he was able to do the work and he he did it well and at the original quote. Because of my experience the first time, we decided to hire Raul to help with a very large kitchen renovation. This included painting cabinets (brown to white), removing halogen box light in ceiling (covering with drywall) and installing 3 pendant light above the counter, painting all of the walls and ceiling. My wife and are extremely happy with the results and also the cost! One other important factor is Raul is very trustworthy. This latest project took 4+ weeks because he works alone and we had limited workspace for him. We often had to leave the house to do other things and we completely trusted him in our home.
