I can see the employees want to do the minimum and expect the customer to know when a service is needed. A few weeks ago I had an old zone updated for $9000 which seems to be working fine. We had significant water puddling in our basement utility room which houses our heat and a/c handling equipment. I called our Plumber who is always fast to respond and competent. He found that it was a clogged condensate drain on the A/C air handler. The plumber cleared the line the best he could but referred us to call the HVAC guys. When they returned, they agreed it was the drain, and begrudgingly flushed the line and made sure the pump was working expelling the water into the waste line. I asked, don't you open up the cabinet to see what's going on? "No. You don't see much and you would have to cut into the sheet metal to inspect it." Thanks for staying with me, this is when I found Chris at Econ Air. I saw the reviews and gave him a call. He's the owner and came himself. He looked at the drain, immediately removed 4 screws holding a large access panel and explained how condensation and metal eventually rust and form a kind of rusty mud. He spent a good half hour flushing the area with bleach & water and mopping up the area so the condensate tray was spotless. Before he left he checked my new unit and informed me the prior contractor sold me a low quality Chinese system. I know when I need my next 2 zones updated I'm calling Chris at Econo Air. More than a week later no follow up. I called to be told they did not sell that make of unit anymore and they could not get parts. I asked for a referral for someone who could complete the repair but was told to do an internet search. In short, they did half a job, left exposed wiring in a child's bedroom and did not have the decency to either call me to tell me they could not finish the job or recommend someone who could. If you are looking for customer service I suggest you look elsewhere. In reply to your comment on my review, I have no record of you ever trying to contact me after the in home visit. Not even a voicemail. My issue is with how you left the job not the function of the units up to that time.
