Wow. My Husband plays for the Astros so they took us late saying that was fine. They consistently proved that it was not fine. They only have one ultrasound tech Who calls out sick/takes vacations apparently pretty often. They canceled one of my appointments day of and I had to come in a separate day, but then they had messed up my appointment and they could only do the ultrasound and not the reading- I didn't know this until once I finished the ultrasound. Then they proceeded to wait five days to tell me that there was a problem with my ultrasound and they were concerned. When that appointment was supposed to be directly after the ultrasound Nancy, the liaison called to tell me some pretty jarring news over the phone and had me go in for another ultrasound in which she gave them my incorrect due date which was a pivotal piece of information that they needed in figuring out if something was wrong with the baby or not. In coordinating with her after this pretty traumatic event, she proceeded to text me by the wrong name. I understand that she's trying to be nice, but her overall tone makes it feel like she doesn't really care. When I'm asking questions or trying to get real help she just says things like "big hugs!!" They constantly told me that they didn't have ultrasounds for me, even though I had done ultrasounds directly with them. They also Would tell me that they had no record of me at all, and then when I pressed them to keep looking, they would magically find it. They use a call center and it's quite difficult to get in contact with someone at the actual office if you need help. Overall, just a really scary and incompetent experience that I would never want anyone else to have. My experiences for the last several years have always been positive and it wasn't until I became an OB patient that I realized truly how wonderful this facility is. I was rejected for being over weight...lol then they referred me somewhere else and when I explain to the lady why I was being referred she was just as baffled as I was.... because that was the first time she ever heard of a patient being turned away for their weight!! besides me having a perfectly normal pregnancy perfect blood pressure readings and no abnormalities with me or my unborn child I was considered a risk to their practice, which only shows me the lack of confidence they must have in themselves as doctors!! OR they are in fact discriminating against women! I have 2 beautiful children already and I was in the 200lb range with both and never was I denied care during either of those pregnancies for my weight. You're in the Texas Medical Center belt, should I say more? Even though you are a patient spending x amount of dollars just being there, you also have to pay for parking. It's the system, if you don't like it, luckily, Complete Women's Care Center has 2 locations outside of TMC. You come in, check in, & update your paperwork. From there, you will be called back when the nurse is ready. The wait time is NOTHING compared to my last OB/GYN (I waited for TWO hours with my last OB-GYN). The wait area is comforting and beautiful-- bring a book if you have to, do some meditation, bring your coffee. After she checks your vitals, your OB/GYN will be with you when she is ready. I go to one OB/GYN, and one only. I started seeing Dr. Kristin Brigger after a horrible experience with my last OB/GYN. Dr. Brigger ALWAYS has a smile when I see her. Patient care comes first. Whatever you need, she'll help you with it. I like that not only do you have your annual gynecological appointment, but you have a genuine sit down to discuss any other female issues you have. If this is your first time, you can fill out a survey on their iPad to get a free item! Pretty good marketing strategy if you ask me. read more

Terrible experience - don't recommend to anyone! 1. Very rude front desk stuff 2. Got charged for the test that they didn't perform at Dr Lash's office and then when contacted about it by my insurance, they continued saying that they provided it (it couldn't be the case because they didn't collect the biological material needed to even perform the test) 3. THEY CONTINUED SENDING ME PAPER BILLS EVEN AFTER THEY ALL WERE PAID FOR BY MY INSURANCE. When asked about it in person, they said they will check it but THE BILLS STILL HAD TO BE PAID. I had to call my insurance because I continued getting paper bills to pay, that were already paid for, and only they managed to get the wrong bills out of the system. Overall, it is the worst medical experience I have had in "reputable" clinics so far. read more

I started reading so many of the negative reviews and felt I had to post my experience. I've been a patient of Dr. Beard for 4 years now. She is absolutely amazing! I've never once felt rushed or unimportant. She always greats me with a hug and remembers me and my story even though she sees me once a year. She handled my pregnancy and c-section so well and went above and beyond to help my insecurities about previous miscarriages. For 3 years since his birth she continues to treat me with the same amazing care. Every nurse and everyone working at the desks have always been equally pleasant, that always say hello and smile as you walk by. It's just a pleasant experience. To me, it's worth the $10 parking fee for every visit and the insane drive and traffic of the medical center. If you've had a bad experience here, I suggest seeing Dr Beard. read more

Dr. Fountain is excellent! She genuinely cares about her patients. She sits down and talks with you and takes and interest in your life, in addition to caring for medical needs and listening to questions and concerns. I trust her and would recommend her to anyone looking for an OBGYN. CWCC is very easy to deal with. I appreciate that they call and remind me about upcoming appointments. The office is very clean and staff is very nice. The only recommendation I would give to CWCC is to turn the music lower or change it to more relaxing music in the waiting area. read more

Dr. Ivonne Smith is wonderful! I've been a patient of hers for at least the last 10 years. She is very thorough and genuinely cares about women's health. Her staff is friendly and easy to get along with. Her office is located in a building attached to The Women's Hospital. Self parking is between $7-$10 depending on the length of your stay. They also have "free" valet parking, but it's not really free. They park your car for you but you pay the same rate as everyone else when you leave, in addition to tipping your valet attendant. The check-in and check-out process are pretty seamless. You stand in line, they check you in, verify insurance, then send you back to wait for your doctor. This office is shared by multiple doctors. Overall, I am very happy with my doctor and this facility. If you need a great OBGYN with tons of experience and great bedside manner, I highly recommend Dr. Ivonne Smith! read more

Jenna has been my nurse practitioner throughout the past 7 months of my pregnancy in the Med Center location. She is super warm, informative, and makes sure she answers all your questions. Unfortunately I have not built that great of a relationship with my obgyn, the reason being because I don't get to see her often, my appointments are mostly set with the nurse practitioner but I think that is a result of having HMO health insurance. The facility is clean, cozy, nice, and all the staff is friendly. It seems as though most of the obgyns at the office have lots of awards, and good reviews online. I'm a little nervous about delivery since I'll be delivering at Womens Hospital and I've heard they have a high c-section rate, I'm hoping all goes well! read more

I have been here a few times and feel I can now write a review. I have seen 2 Drs. I was in pain each time I went. I can say that the Dr's and US tech's are all well trained, and very gentle. It is just another exam, or appointment to them and it feels relaxed, as far as everyones favorite part (pelvic exam) goes. However, you feel like your the only apt they have had all day. Almost like they came in just for your apt. This is especially true with Dr. Jurney. The time they spent listening to everything I was saying. I have walked into many dr offices, and it seemed they had me diagnosed before they even knew what was going on. This is not the case here! I felt I was more than adequately listened too. Dr. Macintosh was very attentive and I felt comfortable with her even though I had not known her before this visit. I only met with her once, so I can't say too much. But I like her, and wouldn't hesitate to schedule with her if Dr. Jurney wasn't available. Dr. Jurney is whom I have primarily seen. I really like her. She is so compassionate, and took so much time, and it really made me feel so comfortable as I was a little flustered from a phone call before I walked in, and a little disappointed the pain I was having may not resolve for a few weeks. I was sitting in there feeling overwhelmed and she was just soooo patient, and kind to me. I initially came in a year prior to figure out this strange pain I had been having for some time. Not expecting it to be what she suspected. I had no intentions of setting down roots here or anything. I just needed to find a easy fix to a not so easy to fix problem, and they had good reviews and could get me in quick. The result of their AWESOME care, is that I want to stay here. I started seeing Dr. Beard and her team in January 2020. I went in for my first pregnancy appointment to find out that I had miscarried. Her team was incredible. They were so compassionate and I was blown away by the care I received. A couple months later, I went back with my next pregnancy. This time we lost our little boy at 20 weeks. The way I was once again supported blew me away. The entire clinic's level of compassion is unmatched. We recently successfully delivered our second baby and I was cared for so well, not just throughout my pregnancy, but still during my post partum journey. Okay - so, yes, they are super efficient and it's like a spa coming here. So if you need your run of the mill well women's exam -- sure. Come here! They will fit you in no problem and it should be a completely fine experience. But, if you're looking for further diagnosis of a health issue, I don't know if I'd recommend it. We had been trying to get pregnant for nearly a year and I made an appointment to discuss what the options were. I left my appointment with one of the nurse practitioners with only one option -- she wrote me a prescription for clomid to regulate my cycles. No diagnosis or further analysis to figure out what was wrong. She made the decision after looking at the blood work I had brought with me from my PCP. This did not settle well with me as I like to know the cause is rather than just treat the symptom. I then made the decision to switch to a different OB/GYN at another practice. read more

I was very disappointed with this center. I recently move to Houston so I was looking for a ob/gyn. I went there after the review from yelp and my insurance was accepted here. First impression, the lobby is a bit too pretentious for my taste. I can understand the ambiance they are after, that is to create a upscale, posh, womanly touch environment, but the place gave me the feeling that everyone talks with their little pinky sticking up instead of that genuine down to earth feeling. Don't get me wrong it is a nice office but a bit overkill for my taste. I went for my annual physical exam. The medical service itself is no different than any other doctors office, where the doc/nurses are doing their job and being respectful and courtesy. My guess is the patient is not really paying for the service but rather the extravagant decor and rent. Also, it is a pain to find a parking space. On top of that you have to pay for parking by the hour. Annoying, especially when there are plenty of other doctor's offices/clinics in town that have parkings readily available. The worse part of my experience was the billing issues after my appointment. Come to find out, because of data entry error from their office my insurance was wrongly process. I had to make several phone calls over four month period to resolve the issues. With all the doctors in the area, it is just not worth it to come to this particular center for me. read more

I ended up switching doctors for my second pregnancy (which breaks my heart because I still love Dr. Lash), but the main reasoning behind this is that they do their testing through Lab Corp. I had a test result come back false and wanted to make sure I could trust my results in the future as there is so much lab work done during pregnancy. I'm just now coming back and updating my review because I just did some research on Lab Corp and they are an extremely unethical company with a slew of class action lawsuits. Again, I would recommend Dr. Lash to anybody and I would go to her again if she switched practices! read more

Like another reviewer, I recently moved here was was looking for a female OB/GYN. Since I use Yelp for everything, I turned to Yelp for my OB/GYN recommendation too. I came in for a well woman exam and a preconception consultation. Overall, the in-office experience was nice. The waiting room is nicely decorated, and the staff is knowledgeable and organized. I saw Dr. Beard, and she was super friendly and sweet. She was informative and had a warm personality. I enjoyed the in-office experience very much. The problem I have is with their communication after a visit. It's difficult to get through when you call. When you call, the phone is answered by an automated system. That system will guide you to a nurse's voice mail. You leave a message, and you wait for a return call. This process is repeated for any follow-up you may have. Although calls are returned within 24hrs, the nurse seems hurried when she's on the phone. I understand that everyone there is busy, but I don't like feeling like I'm just another annoying voice mail that the nurse needs to return. This is a great place for an annual exam. However, since I'm planning to be pregnant in the next year, I know I'll have questions and need to make frequent visits. I want to feel confident that I can reach a live person if an emergency arises. Because of that, I'm going some place else. I went to CWCC based on reviews--with emphasis on the "no wait"--and had the same issues as Tina B. It took an hour and 15 minutes before I got to see Dr. Beard, and I was only in her care for 10 minutes max (including the "interview"). I have a great insurance plan, which includes full coverage of my annual well woman's exam and other coverage. Dr. Beard sent in some lab results and I ended up getting 3 bills from 3 different parties, including CWCC, for stupid amounts. I've gone to other OB/GYNs and had labwork, but it was no where near as ridiculous as here. There are too many other options out there. No thanks! After deciding to plan for a baby, we needed a specialist to have a plan of action. I decided to try the CWCC because the office was conveniently located and this facility had good reviews online. My first visit was like stepping into Woman's World. The décor was fashionable, comfortable and spacious. The scent was very pleasing. I realize looks are not everything. I met with Dr. Mason who made such a great impression with her patience and her personable nature. I decided this would be the doctor and place for me to plan our pregnancy. God blessed us a few months later. I obviously visited the CWCC several times through out my pregnancy. Communication is key for any successful business. From the very beginning, expectations were made clear for us so we did not have any surprises. We sat down with someone for a payment plan and we were able to set our appointments convenient to our schedule all the way up to the due date. I was sent a survey after every visit. I am very busy and wish I had taken a couple of minutes to fill out each one. As we all know , it is so much easier to take time out to type a review when we have a poor experience. I do appreciate that they want my honest feedback every time I visit to make any necessary changes to better their service. I met with Dr. Shaunna Mason and Laurel Spence for nine months. They always came in and sat down. That means something to me. I've been in other Dr.'s visits where the doctor comes in and stands the entire time. It makes you feel like you need to hurry and explain because they don't have much time. Dr. Mason and Laurel provided excellent care throughout my pregnancy. I knew I could email them or call the office anytime. I cannot thank them enough. Every one of the staff members are professional and friendly. We did have an extended stay at the hospital and were able to meet the other exceptional doctors at the CWCC. Dr. Kristen Brigger delivered our baby girl and she was amazing.Thank you to all of you that assisted during my labor & delivery. It has been a month since we delivered my baby girl. Since then, I have received a personally hand written note and call from Dr. Mason. That is above and beyond! That is what the Complete Women's Care Center will do for you...above and beyond service. I started coming here a couple of years ago, because I'd read "how caring " the staff was. NOT TRUE!!! I had an appointment and thought I was seeing the DOCTOR and when I got to the office I was told I was seeing her nurse practitioner! Why would they NOT just tell me that, before coming in?!! When I objected to this I was brushed off with "I'm sorry, would you like to reschedule?" I'm here at 7:30am! NO, I don't want to reschedule! And also I would've been charged a cancellation fee! But had I know before hand then yes! I will not be returning next year! I will be looking for a NEW OB/Gyn that actually sees patients and doesn't hand them off to nurses! Survey results: Less opinion, more facts re. pain mgmt. in labor The classes would be better as a superficial overview of labor, childbirth, C/S, epidural/pain management. However, showing patients the epidural needle and going into detail about the worst case scenarios should be lessened. Don't let the teachers scare our patients about epidurals. Have a doctor or L&D nurse teach the classes. Why do we have doulas doing this? My patients come back convinced that epidurals will lead to cesareans and poor breastfeeding. This is our second visit to Compete Women's Care center. That facility is beautiful and the staff is really friendly but the wait time to actually be seen is horrific. We have waited over an hour every time we come. Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if a nurse or someone would actually let's us know they are running behind or check on us while we are waiting in the room but I usually have to leave the room, find a nurse and ask how much longer. I've been seeing Dr. Beard at CWCC for more than two years and has never been happier with all the services at this clinic! Dr. Beard is extremely professional and also a sweet person. She takes all her time to answer my questions. I generally just ask more questions than other people. :) Her nurse is also very professional when it comes to explaining my lab results over the phone. I've never had any nurse from other doc's office that called me and went into a lot of details with the information. All the front desk staff were sweet and professional. I was late for my appointment once and they still tried their best to accommodate my schedule and I got out of the office within an hour! Recently when they accidentally billed me for something that my insurance later paid for, they called me immediately after they were contacted by my insurance company and apologized for the error. I'm surprised to see some commented that the office is pretentious looking, but who wants to sit in a cold, old-fashioned doc's office waiting for that nerve-wracking annual well woman exam, or any exam in general? I love the boutique atmosphere at the office with chic and feminine decor. It truly makes me feel like CWCC is a place by women and for women. CWCC is one of the best businesses that do so well with staying in touch with their patients. They send out newsletters with health tips and issues regarding women's health, and they keep patients updated on social media. I wonder how many doc's offices do the same as CWCC these days. Now their medical center office is moved to the Texas Women's Hospital location so the parking is a little more challenging. Don't try the outdoor area, just head straight to the garage. Picked this place for my gyn after researching all the physicians listed under my insurance. I wanted to go with a female gyn for my first well woman exam since I was extremely nervous. I also loved the proximity of their medical center office to my medical school so that I could just walk there for my appointments. At first, I wanted to go with Dr. Hardwick-Smith since she went to the same school I did for undergrad and the same medical school I am in now, but she was booked! So off the top of my head, I named Dr. Beard since she also had some amazing reviews. While I haven't been to their new office near the Texas Woman's Hospital yet, their old location was extremely neat. The waiting room was clean and pleasant and reminded me of a room in a spa rather than a doctor's office. As a new patient, I was afraid that working through the new patient paperwork and insurance issues would be a hassle, but since I printed out the documents they have on their website, my check-in was swift and easy. Insurance verification also did not take too long. I arrived about ten minutes before my appointment and waited about twenty minutes before I was finally taken to the back. Dr. Beard met with me in her office before my well woman exam so that I could discuss any issues or concerns I had with her beforehand. She noted that I was a medical student and seemed genuinely interested in my experiences so far. She also was more than happy to answer my questions about the field of ob/gyn since it is a field I am interested in entering. She carried on a conversation with me throughout the well woman exam, which made the whole experience much less scary and uncomfortable than I anticipated. As other reviewers have mentioned, Dr. Beard is an extremely cheerful person and is quite pleasant to talk to! I opted to receive my lab reports via email for convenience and was happy to receive my reports relatively quickly. I also receive alerts from them via email as well, such as news about Dr. Beard's maternity leave and about the new location, so it is much easier to keep track of everything. Reaching the office is a bit of a hassle if you are not a fan of navigating through automated answering services, but I feel that it is the most convenient way of managing such a large practice. It was easy enough to get a hold of the receptionist to make a new appointment and to request a refill on a prescription. The only reason I rate this with four stars and not five stars is the matter of parking. I was informed that parking at the new location is about $7 for a visit, which is pretty pricey. While I am aware that parking in the medical center WILL cost you no matter where you go, $7 for what is usually a one-hour visit is more expensive than usual. As I said earlier, I picked this practice because it was walking distance from my school so there wouldn't be more parking charges on top of what I already pay, but after the move, I will have to either pay for parking or ask someone to drop me off. There is also the MetroRail, but the office is located inconveniently between two stops and is a good ten- to fifteen-minute walk from either stop. I see Dr. Kristin Brigger for OBGYN care at CWCC. Prior to becoming pregnant, I saw Dr. Jessica Ohlemacher and Brandi Wachel, a nurse practitioner, for fertility issues. This is my first pregnancy and I'm a nervous wreck, but Dr. Brigger is attentive to any and all of my concerns and questions. I especially appreciate her demeanor and attitude in the exam room--I always feel as if I'm participating in a conversation about my care versus listening to a lecture. Our visits are usually relatively quick, but I always get the impression that Dr. Brigger is willing to take the time to go over anything in more depth or detail if necessary. I never feel rushed out of the exam room. The nursing staff and ultrasound technicians are also great. The only thing holding me back from five stars is the disorganized feel I get from the administrative side of the practice. While they have scheduling down to a science and time in the waiting room is always minimal, there have been several instances in which I attempted to touch base regarding lab results or asked questions about scheduling time-sensitive screenings and was not confident that I was receiving accurate information. I am a fairly proactive person and am willing to do a certain amount of legwork when it comes to getting my needs met, but not everyone is the same way and it would be unfortunate for another person to be negatively affected by poor communication. Oh, don't we all love those "well woman" exams? Yeah, not so much. I put this year's off a little longer than I should have because I wasn't terribly fond of the doctor I'd been seeing. There just wasn't any chemistry and in my opinion anyone who's going to be looking at my naughty parts had better be personable. I was complaining about it to my sister (who is a nurse in the Med Center) and she recommended any of the doctors here. My appointment was with Dr. Beard and she was extremely nice. Like you could actually hang out with her nice. We met in her office first to discuss any concerns, which I found so much nicer than going through introductions in an exam room with those creepy stirrups staring you in the face. Yowzers, those things freak me out! Anyway. I was just so impressed with everyone here from the moment I arrived. I've just started going to the Women's care center but it's been one of my best experiences with a doc since I've been in Houston. Dr. Jurney is very kind, thorough, and the exam was super fast. At my first appointment she made a point of sitting with me before the exam and talking about my history. Everyone there is very nice. I've been going to Dr. Brigger at CWCC in the Med Center for almost a year now. I moved to Houston from Indiana, so finding a great doctor was important to me. The CWCC facility is clean, modern and comforting. The office staff is professional and friendly; making scheduling, rescheduling, bill payments, etc. easy and convenient. Dr. Jurney along with her staff and staff of Complete Women's Care are absolutely amazing. My previous ob-gyn delivered my 25 year old son and i continued to see her until she retired not too long ago. I visited another provider last year and unfortunately i had a terrible experience with their ob -gyn and vowed never to return. Dr. Jurney was highly recommended to me and i couldn't be happier and thankful. I scheduled a consult with Dr.Jurney, who took the time to listen to my concerns and explain the complete process involved with my Total Hysterectomy surgery and a couple of additional procedures i new were needed. Half way through the consult i knew i was in good hands and trusted her completely. Dr. Jurney took care of my additional procedures in addition to my surgery last week and i couldn't be happier. It was a complete success and I'm recovering quickly. Hospital post surgery care, by Dr. Jurney and her colleagues was phenomenal. They were there to check on my condition and answer all my questions regarding medication and what to expect next. The surgery is all a new experience for me, I've had a number of questions since I've been at home, i contacted Dr.Jurney and her nurse and they were quick to respond with answers. I will continue to be a long time patient and highly recommend Dr.Jurney. Complete Women's Care is an outstanding doctors office. prior to my appt I had no problem reaching anyone to insure my paperwork and medical release papers were received. I was so nervous and anxious to see Dr. Jurney regarding a procedure for my fibroid. I didn't feel rushed at all. The front desk people were so nice and very professional. I didn't feel like a number. The nurse was friendly and made sure my mom and husband went into the waiting room so they didn't see my weight...ha! I liked that part. Dr. Jurney was very thorough in answering all our questions. Me, My Husband and My mother felt her bedside manner was extremely professional and she is so very understanding of my feelings and I am thankful for that. I am not disappointed at all and as a matter a fact I feel like I am in excellent hands and feel some relief in regards to what is ahead. read more

Long long long waits. Expect to be there over 2 hours!! The nurse didn't update me if the doctor was running late. And I had to wait on the exam table stripped down for over 45 minutes!!! Wth!! read more

The BEST in Houston! I have been a patient at CWCC for 4 years now and couldn't be happier! Dr. Lisa Beard delivered my first bundle of joy and we are scheduled with Dr. Alicia McIntosh next week for our second child. I'm currently on Hospital Bed rest and have met with every single physician in this practice during my stay. These doctors are INCREDIBLE and are so good at what they do! I could not feel in better hands and we feel so fortunate for the love and care we've been given by CWCC and the staff at the Hospital. Dr. Alicia McIntosh is an absolute GEM! She is extremely patient, knowledgeable, and best in class! She spends ample amount of time with you and I always leave feeling confident with my questions answered and mind at ease. I have had an extremely complicated pregnancy and she has given excellent care to me and my son! Above and beyond! SOO many wonderful things to say about Dr. McIntosh! Dr. Lisa Beard delivered my first baby and it was a DREAM! She absolutely provided superb care and my delivery was INCREDIBLE. Really and truly, working out with a trainer is harder than my delivery experience. Dr. Beard is Best In Class just as all of the physicians are! If you are not pregnant, this is NOT the OBGYN for you. The office only cares about office policy (extra fees for late arrivals or requesting copies of your lab reports) - there are 10 pages of paperwork on office policies and only 1 on your medical history/concerns. I have been lectured for their errors (mistaking my file for someone else and sending incorrect paperwork) without an apology. If it were only the office staff that were rude and unhelpful, that would be ok. But I have seen 3 different doctors, all of whom brushed off my concerns. I was pressured into an IUD as the only option to maintain my fertility, only to find out later that there was another option. On a separate visit, I was told that there was NOTHING that could be done about a source of pain/swelling that was impairing my life (another doctor offered several solutions, and I am now pain-free!). I was also informed this was an 'uncommon' and 'weird' injury- thanks? I understand that OBGYNs struggle to keep a schedule because of the nature of their work, that is normal, but the blatant disregard for the individual patients and their concerns is appalling! That said, the nurses have all been very nice and supportive! read more
